Needed cheap phone for Assisted Living
I was going into assisted living and I needed a phone. I am on medicaid. I "attempted" Assurance Wireless which I had many years ago and it worked wonderful. This experience was AWFUL. When I tried to set up the service I accidentally dropped the phone mid call and I was now deemed invalid. I had to reapply if I wanted service, so I did and they sent me a second phone. If I could have spoken to someone maybe it could have been corrected. Anyone who spoke to anyone at this company received a miracle because every phone number takes you to the same automated system. You just go around the same prompts at every number. There is ABSOLUTLEY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. This company should not be allowed to be in business at all. I suggest you look elsewhere, don't use it. Can't recomment something that doesn't work. I'd give them no stars if i could.

Horrible customer service. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. They hang up in my face. Tell me that I am a liar. They give me different answers. I have been waiting on a phone over a month and haven't received it. They keep telling me to reapply. They keep giving me run around.

Awful service my phone stopped working..could not call out or receive...reps says the tower is out...another rep says my phone needs to be replaced...they can't speak English and they talk over you...Makes me sick to deal with them....they have changed
I would stay away from assurance wireless
If I could give a minus zero I would. I am disabled on a small income. I would rather be strapped and pay for a phone then deal with these people. First of All I was lied to by every representative I spoke to. I signed up locally outside of the food stamps office. The girl told me I could pick one of two phones for free. She said it was totally free. I asked I picked the motorola. She signed me up and then told me I owed her $90. I said what are you talking about? You said it was free. She said no. This phone is free here. I never said that so that was the first lie. I also told her I did not want the ACP plan as I have it at the house and you can only have one ACP when she was done. I said am I on the ACP plan? She said yes. I said that is not what I wanted. I wanted the lifeline program. So she gave me a very cheap junky phone and signed me up. When I went home I called assurance wireless. They said I was on the ACP program. I told them I canceled it with the first girl. They said no it's not canceled. I asked them to cancel. I had to call back 7 to 10 times. It is still not canceled than it is 5 days later so I am probably going to lose my internet benefit at home from ACP. Every time I talk to somebody I get nothing but lies. I was told I will be switched from the ACP to the lifeline and I will get unlimited talk, text and 25 gigs of data. I found out that is the ACP program that I did not want. What is wrong with these people? Then I was told I will get a free phone and it would be a Samsung. Who knows if it will ever show up or if it will really be a Samsung. It's just been one lie after another spending eight or 10 hours on the phone. So far nothing resolved. Sitting here with a junk phone that might cost $5 retail. I am so upset with this company. None of them speak proper English and they don't really understand well what you're saying so you have to keep repeating yourself. I don't understand what they're talking about very well either. What happened with keeping our business in America? We have sold America. We are giving all our business to other countries. They are the ones who answer the phone. They do not understand English properly. So how on earth can they help you? If you want to receive lies and a junky phone then accept this company. If you want a good company, do not take assurance wireless. I warn you of this. This has got to be one of the worst companies ever. Again, everything out of their mouth is nothing but lies. They all sound like they're reading the same script. I'm going to send the phone back because this is nothing but problems dealing with these people. I will have to go ahead and take food off my table to get a phone that I need that will have reliable customer service. Hopefully. This is not the company for you. They should not be allowed to stay in business in my opinion. So my advice no matter how desperate you are for a new phone, don't do it with assurance wireless

the phones only last a few months. And then to get a replacement warrenty phone. I waited several weeks and found it hadn't even been sent out. then waited 3 more days. Called again to track the other phone. found it hadn't been sent yet. so 2 weeks of run around with no good results. Won't recommend them again!

They make it extremely difficult to port a number from T Mobile to them. I provided everything that is required to port a number and after a long wait to get the phone number changed to them, they came back and said that it cant be done and to go back to T Mobile. T Mobile and Assurance are the same company so something is not right here.

May 2 called suppose to get a ph replacement. Told me over 20 business days. Waited.no oh called beginning june told me sorry we send ph out have it 3-5 business days. I waited called 1week later. The woman says have to pay monthly fee and new ph ,shipping handling charges. I’ve had this service 2012 same number. I hung up. I call today, bc ph is still on collecting gov money fir 2mths now. I’m told I can get replacement oh. Then say not warranty anymore bc had since 2021. I had to call b4 yr up. U can’t call in a yr or won’t get new ph what I was told. Says be 9.95 for ph. I get my credit card he says be 20.00 I said you said 9.95. Then he says it be 29.00. I said you just went up x3 in few minutes. Then he’s says be 31.52. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She has to call me. Gave my number . That was11/2 hr ago. No call. What is going on with this service. My kid school, DRs etc has this numb all these yrs. I don’t know what to do anymore. I need this ph in case my 24y okd car breaks down w/my kid in it w/me. Help

This government service is terrible. I asked for a new phone they never sent it after telling me to wait 3 weeks. They was supposed to reactivate my old phone but never did. This service needs to be shut down. They are not a real government phone service. There customer support agents lie like crazy. There whole company is on their way to hell in a lake o fire the way their headed.

This company lies. It's difficult to understand the representative. I was told that a phone my client had was on a warranty and would be replaced for free. This phone was the free phone from the food stamps. When the phone never arrived, I made another call to customer service. This agent with thick heavy accent told me we had been completely lied to. The phone was not free nor was the shipping. We were told the only option was to cancel service. All of this we went through because her old phone could not charge or even turn off.

I've had Assurance Wireless for over 2 years and and they have never been as awful as they are now they have now made it impossible for me to use my Wi-Fi on any other device at all none not one and then they tell me that I have used my Wi-Fi data up which is impossible because the only thing I've ever used my phone for the last 2 months for was making one phone call because it is now gotten to the point that it is a worthless piece of s*** company who cares less about anybody besides taking money from the American people and you know the benefits taken from and everything paid for is from the taxpayers and it's different countries that are taking our money and our Congress and representatives are allowing it because it is their company

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER TODAY IS SUNDAY I CALLED AT 4:45 pm nyc agent couldn't help me and I asked for supervisor she hung up after 1/2 hour and no survey came on. I called back got someone else who couldn't help. I asked to speak to supervisor he was the absolute worst. I only had my phone 6 days and it was disconnected. I got no help no real answer except dude said I applied for another service and I told him I didn't he didn't believe me he just wanted to banter so leaving me frustrated I asked for a manager I said I was go report the call he kept putting me on dead air Itold him the call is recorded I said am I being denied he said yes I said hang up so I could do the survey he interrupted the survey and then hung up worst service ever time was 5:29pm

Assurance wireless or Lifeline is races. If you speak english, you will receive the best (Samsung or Motorola phone) in the storage, but if you speak Spanish you will get the worst ( schock voltsv55 phone) in the storage. Races, races,races country, unfortunately.

Just take the phone they give you and throw it in the trash! If it is a Schok phone this is the best thing you can do for yourself. No point in using a program if the equipment they give you is not able to do the job... Even a basic serviceable used phone is better than the garbage they will send you. Go elsewhere if at all possible

This is the worst phone company to have. The need to lose their contract. They lie & give you incorrect information. They want you to pay to add minutes to use phone. They give you the basic plan & lie & say it's unlimited, until the phone goes off. The service takes 7-10 days to switch once you enroll in unlimited. Then while waiting for the mistakes they made. They tell you to pay 10$ to use phone or wait until your new cycle begin . They hang up on you when you call. They don't speak good English nor understand good English.This service is ULTIMATE TRASH. Do not use them.
