We had a retirement account with Putnam…

We had a retirement account with Putnam Mutual funds which was taken over by Franklin Templeton which contracted out the 403b accounts to Aspire. I've been trying to get the 1099R to file my taxes and have been unsuccessful, it seems it all must be done online. I called to try and establish an online account, but the email verification notice to establish the account did not come through. I've also been trying to get the 403b account moved to another mutual fund company, but all applications must be done online and have been rejected 5 times with no detailed explanation, just a notice of rejection. It seems that the school system has to fill out part of the request to get my own money moved. A copy of the form, which was sent to me, and which I forwarded to the school from Aspire, unfortunately, the form they sent was missing some pages. However, the page was included with the school endorsement which was completed by the school and sent by them directly to aspire by the school. This was also rejected. This has been a miserable, time-consuming experience.
To update: we got another rejection at 2:04 am on 3-16, an approval 8:13 am on 3-16, and rejections on 3-17 and 3-18. We did get an explanation on the rejections that the signatures were invalid. It seems that the signatures using the Adobe software of the form don't count. We visited St Mary's county public schools administration and got a new form "wet" signed along with my wife's signature. We mailed it out via USPS 3-17. I hope this works. Still waiting for 1099R, we got a promise over the phone that one would be mailed.

Aspire will ruin your business

Aspire will ruin your business. They will delay your revenue and their "support" team will make you want to pull your hair out.

Aspire allows you to setup a GBP account that cannot receive GBP from the United Kingdom -- what is the point?!

Different support staff will reply to you with answers they haven't tried and tutorials that don't match what the interface looks like. I got the same three replies multiple times in two weeks, none of which solved a simple request, meanwhile I can't send my customer invoices.

I recently experienced an issue where I…

I recently experienced an issue where I was unable to view my account balance and virtual account details, which was understandably concerning as payments were being processed at the time. I reached out to the Aspire support team, and they responded promptly and professionally.

Aileen from Customer Care guided me through initial troubleshooting steps and kept the communication clear and reassuring. When the issue required further investigation, the team escalated it to their Technical department without delay and kept me informed throughout the process. The matter was resolved within the communicated timeframe, and everything is now functioning smoothly.

I truly appreciate the responsiveness, transparency, and ownership shown by the Aspire team. Their support staff remained patient, courteous, and committed to resolving the issue end-to-end, which gave me confidence in their service.

Thank you to the Aspire Support team for the excellent customer experience.

Timely support and Effective communication I saw while working with Aspire support team on Payment credit issue was commendable. Jason and Eric took the ownership of the issue and kept me updated till it got resolved.

Client services

Aspire customer service responded to our email within 24hrs regarding an international payment query. Within 48hrs our case was resolved and we were provided full details and document tracking support.

If only there were 0 stars

If there were 0 stars, I would have given that. Aspire put my company's account under review and stopped all incoming transfers with no reason. That would have been fine if they had not also held up all my clients transfers. I had no overview of what was being held up. While the Aspire team replied me on my emails, there was no timeline for when the review will end.

Four weeks later, my clients were refunded their transfers with fees deducted from the original sum. They had already paid transaction fees for transferring the funds and should not be incurring additional fees as the refund was through no fault of theirs. In fact, it was due to Aspire's internal reviews. There is zero accountability and transparency throughout this whole process and experience. As of today, I am still waiting for the review to conclude.

In summary, to any business owners who care to listen, it may seem that onboarding a digital payment services provider is quick and hassle-free, but the true cost of not using a traditional bank far outweighs the benefits. Use at your own risk.

High Value option for my sole-proprietorship

I am a sole proprietor with a small portfolio of work. I decided to open an account with Aspire when I formally set up my business and couldn't be more happy. From the initial setup timelines, to the interface and facilities: they have been second-to-none. I remained on the basic package for the first 18 months and was able to do everything my business requires. More recently I have upgraded to Premium to test out the usefulness and once again, I am not disappointed. Despite not having live help on the basic package, my queries (sent via email) were always answered and resolved in a timely manner and they have never hindered my operations. I particularly like the fact that most administrative tasks are possible from the interface. The only drawback is that I am unable to make cash deposits in person at a physical location. This add-on service would be a big plus.
