Never use this service.

As everyone else has said, this is a scam. They say they are charging you a $5, one time sign up fee to use their services. The $5 fee is a joining fee and then they automatically enroll you in a membership that they charge you $39 a month for. I asked one question and spoke to the "vet" for all of 2 minutes and was charged $44 and received no help. They cannot prescribe medication, which isn't disclosed until after you submit payment. This company is awful.

MONEY STEALING c***s

MONEY STEALING c***s. I used this service one god damn time, and at first they charged me against my will unknown to me 35$ a month… but since LAST WEDNESDAY (4days ago) they’ve charged me THAT AMOUNT TWICE. I hope you all go bankrupt and lose everything you own. Stealing greedy assholes.

Subscription service that I didn't sign up for

I used this service ONCE.
I was told it would cost AUD$2.
Roll on a few months and I've now cancelled my credit card and other bank products due to Askavetonline scamming me.

Somehow I'm signed up to a subscription service that I can't log into, or manage.

If you want to find out about the extra charges on your account - you have to pay them $2 - which will turn into another subscription with them and you'll be charged $42 a month twice.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

$120 visit to the vet is cheaper in the long run.

They've been reported to scam watch, the bank is investigating them and hopefully they'll end up not able to steal from the vets providing the service (I spoke to a vet in Canberra who was hoping to be paid for the call - fat chance I'll bet) and the customers using the service.

Scam

Scam. Stay far away, was never connected with a vet, none available even after many reassurances they were coming. After charged of course, and then I asked about how to cancel they sent me a link to an auto response from am expert that had no information or ability to get a script. Complete waste of money. They said they canceled monthly charge, reported to bank. Stay away

SCAM! Stay away!

This is a scam! Stay away! I used the service once and they continued to charge me monthly. The CSR read me this boiler plate, scripted response when I asked to be refunded for the fee for the month since I am obviously not using it. Her response "I think you scammed yourself!" PLEASE STAY AWAY from this company. Their practices are unethical. The vet that I spoke to originally was excellent but the billing part of the practice is shady. So disappointed that companies claim that cancellations are available at any time but they are unwilling to refund. When asked, they point you to the T&C as a way to keep your money. Shame on you!

Stay away!

Stay away from this! It's a scam! At first, they will tell you you'll be charged a $2 fee, and then you will pay $47! They will put you on a membership costing $45 without letting you know! Thankfully, I realised it quickly, and I asked for a refund.

I wouldn't recommend ask a vet to…

I wouldn't recommend ask a vet to anyone ever. It took an hour an half to get anyone to connect with me and they connect with me through text messages. I need more info about if I needed to get my dog to an er vet for stomach pain and being sick or if she could wait till Monday for her appointment. I had to pay for this service and never got an appointment for it. I ended up calling an er vet and driving an hour to get her seen. Now I was not in depress need of an answer but if you were and you waited an hour an half for it something serious could have happened. So glad I didn't wait for there nothing Ness.

Terrible

Terrible. They say it's 2.00 but then charge you 2.00 and another 42.00. Then they enroll you in a subscription and take 42.00 per month after that without you being aware. Douchbag move. I want my money back.

I was so stressed about my little budgerigar

I was so stressed about my little budgerigar so I tried asking - the initial setup is run by Artificial Intelligence so you are not getting anywhere and when I finally got a vet about 15 hours later I was asked for information about what the problem was when I had already done that three times. I didn't get an answer at all but find I am being charged a monthly subscription! So complicated cancelling it because as few instructions as possible are given online. Disgraceful.

They enroll you into a subscription in…

They enroll you into a subscription in the middle of an emergency without you knowing, and just continue charing you monthly for any questions you might have with a vet. lol? why would i need to ask questions on a monthly basis?

I paid for the text messages I exchanged with a vet in regards to my cat and i also paid for a phonecall but apperantly I also was getting charged for a subscription I didn't know about.

Terrible, will not be using

I have a cat with diabetes-- all I got was a list of ERs.

I have a cat with diabetes. I had questions about his recent hypoglycemia event. All anyone at AskVet would tell me is "Take him to the ER." That is obvious advice, and also very, very expensive. How long would his event likely last? No one would say. No one asked about his diet or his dosage of insulin. No one asked about his current symptoms or his most recent blood work. No one asked if I had a urine test. "Take him to the ER." Anyone can make a vet app that tells everyone who uses it "Take your pet to the ER" and then churns out the names and locations of the nearest 5 vet ER clinics. That isn't helpful, that is automatic.
