DO NOT USE not a real company

Uploaded all my personal family photos and also downloaded their software to use to design my calendar. Did this in August 2024.
I have heard nothing since then. Initially tried to contact and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone. This is a fake company. I think they just take your details and your personal photos including photos of children for some unknown reason and then never get back to you. What on earth is going on. The initial time I used the website I got no warning it was fraudulent. Now I look and safari says it’s not safe to use the website. I’m very worried that the images of me and my children are being used by these criminals. I am reporting them to action fraud.

How does this company continue to…

How does this company continue to trade? We have used them for the previous 2 years to raise funds and awareness for our cat rescue charity and although there were frustrating communication difficulties, the finished product, when it finally arrived was pretty good so we decided to go with them again this year. Big Mistake! When the calendars eventually arrived they were not as we requested, the charity's details have been completely omitted meaning that anyone who has the calendar will not know who we are, and the cats names have been left off the photo's meaning that the cat owners who donated their photo's for the calendar get no recognition at all. When we informed them of the problem they insisted that they had printed them as we asked them to ( we never received a proof from them but our order proof quite clearly includes the charity details and cats names) since sending them the proof we have here, they no longer respond to our emails and no ever answers the phone. If you are raising funds for charity do yourself a favour and find someone else to print your merchandise, it will be a lot more successful and a lot less stressful. Needless to say we wont be using them again.

Appalling!

I ordered 250 2024 calendars for delivery for mid October from Ask for a local animal sanctuary that I volunteer at. I received a pdf proof which was fine so requested the printed proof. This didn't arrive and I was told that they would send "another" one. This also did not arrive and I cannot get in contact with the company to see what's happening with the order. Their phone no. is an answering machine and messages are not replied to, emails and their on-line "help" form are totally ignored. It's a mystery to me how they're still in business!

Shameful scam

Do not use this company. Advertising themselves as a charity service is nothing short of shameful. I was trying to raise money for the British Heart Foundation with my order, which never arrived. I don't need to elaborate on their 'customer service' thereafter, just read the reviews below. Clearly a disgusting sham company. If anyone gets any joy with a small claim against them or similar, please share. I'd like to see them punished fittingly for this most vile of scams.

Ask Calendars continue to ignore me - no commission paid.

This is an update to a previous review. Ask Calendars have ignored every communication method possible (though I haven't actually been to the premises as I live 100s miles away). They have not paid the commission promised on the calendars sold, and some of the calendars never arrived. They owe me £220.44 in commission, which I was going to donate to Bristol Animal Rescue. I have today contacted Citizens Advice which is the first port of call recommend by Bury Council. If you have had same experience please do the same. This company is still trading, and scamming people thinking they are buying calendars that have profits going to charity. DO NOT USE THEM

Terrible Customer Service

I ordered a Print on Demand calendar on 15 December. And it has not arrived. I have messaged them on their online "chat", emailed several times and left a message on their answerphone and none of these has received a reply. I did say I understand the delays caused by strikes, Christmas break etc. I even paid extra for Courier delivery. I'm beginning to wonder if they have lost my order. But I do know the money went to them. Its the utter lack of communication that infuriates me. We used Ask in the previous two years and all was good. The quality is very good and we raised a great amount of money for our organisation. (Kitten Academy). And now it is Feb 1st. Disappointed verging on angry!

Having used ASK Calendars in 2021 when…

Having used ASK Calendars in 2021 when the service was fairly good we made the unwise choice of using them again.

We are a small charity and 2023 is our 25th Anniversary, so the calendar was even more important this time. I am aware of over 20 orders, all fully paid, and not a single calendar has been received.

Not a single email, voice message or call has been replied to. We are now considering reporting them to Trading Standards as they are still advertising their services, taking money and not delivering.

DO NOT USE ASK CALENDARS

Totally useless customer service in 2022

I sent an email approving the proof on 24 November. I had requested delivery by courier by 9 December. When I asked for an update, I was told on 8 December that it had got lost in the system but that it now had been sent down to production. That was the last I heard. It is now 21st December and despite several emails and tel messages I have heard nothing since then. I am now considering cancelling and informing all those I had promised calendars as in previous years that I am contracting the work elsewhere.

This company needs to invest in its Customer Service. We used this company last year to print calendars as a fundraiser, and it proved difficult to make contact with them, with delays in receipt of our order, though it was with us by 8/12/21. This year our order was submitted on 24/10/22. I received an email on 15/11/22 stating that the calendars would be printed in the next few days, but no order received as yet, and locked in 'processing' on their website. It's a shame, as their website and software is excellent, and the quality of calendars is very good. I just want my calendars delivered!!

POOR SERVICE

As with other reviewers we used Ask Calendars in 2021 with only one minor issue with communication which caused a delay in printing. This year will be the last year we use them. The quality of the calendar is not as good. We ordered card envelopes for the calendars which have never been received and after numerous unanswered phone calls, messages and emails we have had to buy our own envelopes so that we can post out the calendars.
Sorry Ask Calendars you have lost us as a customer

Do not use this bunch. They are truly, truly terrible 2022

Last year, I discovered Ask calendars. They were just round the corner from where I live and when I rang they answered questions and were incredibly helpful. I printed a calendar through them, a small order, 20 copies for family and friends. They got the order ready when they said they would, they communicated well all the way through the process and at the end of it all I was able to saunter round the corner to their offices and pick up the calendars myself.

After such a great experience I didn't think twice this year. I went straight to the ask website and made a calendar using their design tool. Some of the images had bled off the page (intentional) but the ones that had bled off the bottom looked as if they were going to print on the page below.

I couldn't get the proof button to work but I wasn't too worried as the overflowing bits hadn't come out on the calendar I'd done for 2022 so I reckoned it was probably OK, and if not, I'd ordered a pdf proof anyway, so if there were any problems I assumed it would show on those and I could ask for help. I ordered the calendars on the pay later option and discovered that the ask print facility had moved to Alcester so I wouldn't be able to pick them up. Never mind.

A day after I'd uploaded my design, my proof arrived. Unfortunately, it looked as if the bottom halves of three of the pictures were, indeed, going to bleed onto the day-at-a-glance planner bit and print there on the finished version. Mea culpa.

However, two others which I'd positioned the same way were fine. I emailed Ask straight away explaining and also warning them that I'd ordered the calendars to arrive by 18th December, which was two weeks hence when I placed the order. I asked if they needed me to send them cropped photos replace the ones that were bleeding over into the planner bit. Then I waited.

I heard nothing and no alts appeared but hey, it was Friday. When Monday came, still no word or a second proof. I rang them and got an answering machine message saying they were very busy but to leave a message and they would call me back. I left a message. Tuesday, nothing. Wednesday I was out all day but had given them my mobile number. I heard nothing. If they needed cropped photos they would surely need them sooner rather than later if the calendars were going to be printed on time. I began to get worried.

It's now 8th and I'm still waiting ... Maybe I've been too hasty but they were so fast responding last year that I'm a bit flummoxed. The phone number is still their old one and I am worried the message is on a loop and there's no-one there anymore. I will have to pop round tomorrow and see if anyone is in.

Not sure what else to do now but I've emailed them explaining that I need the calendars by the end of next week and that if I don't hear by the end of tomorrow I'll assume they can't print them in time and go elsewhere. I've tried to contact them every which way, instragram, facebook, email and I've left another phone message. Hopefully I will hear something tomorrow but I'm kind of losing hope.

All in all, they were absolutely great last year, but this year the whole experience has been a bit lumpy and now they appear to be ghosting me.

Just ... weird, I guess I have to chalk it up to experience and make a note not to use them again but it's a shame. Maybe they are victims of their own success. It's just embarrassing that, after last year's experience, I've recommended them to so many people. Here's hoping that if anyone took up my recommendation, their experiences with Ask this year have differed from mine.

I've given Ask two stars, rather than one, on account of the excellent service I received from them last year. However, if you're printing calendars for 2023, I suspect Ask are best avoided until they've got their act together again ... unless you like being ghosted by a supplier.

Final note: I will update this if I get anywhere with Ask, or if they reply to any of the messages and emails I've sent.

UPDATE Yep, here it is.

I popped round to the Ask offices and found them deserted. I couldn't get into the building but eventually someone did let me in. There was nobody at reception. I tried to find someone who could tell me if any Ask staff were still visiting or collecting messages but nobody knew. I left wondering if the company had ceased trading somewhere between taking my order than then.

Someone from Ask finally contacted me on 16th December, explaining that they thought they'd sent me a proof and apologising for the delay. Did I still want the calendars, they asked me? No, I told them and explained that I'd seen the disused office and assumed they'd ceased trading.

Today, 11th January, out of the blue, DHL arrive with a box of calendars from Ask print, the order I cancelled. I will not be paying for them.

Downgraded to one star. Will not be touching Ask with a barge pole ever again.
