Scam company. They offer solutions for £1 from their chosen expert, who in my case gave me instructions that broke my £60 Epson printer by sending the ink tank carriage at full pelt into the end stop, which caused the horizontal position flexi to pull out of its connector. Without horizontal position, it can't print anything. I was attempting to print out Court papers for a case I was bringing the next morning, so rushed to Argos to get a same series lower spec. printer for £40. I then see that the '£1' is described as a joining fee, with a *monthly* charge of £24 that Ask-Crew helped themselves to before the £1 charge for their alleged expert help. I raised a charge back with Paypal, who concluded that no rules had been broken. This is a breach of UK distance selling laws, which require all the pertinent details of a contract to be obviously visible. In this case, that the £24 is a monthly subscription is IMO both over-priced and also not prominantly displayed as a feature of the contract. Knowing this did not prevent Ask-Crew from still requesting their £1 even after costing me £125 in repairing the damage caused by their advice. This was the first and will be the last time I reach out to Ask-Crew for assistance with anything. Most of the one * ratings on Trustpilot concern people surprised to discover that Ask-Crew considers £24 / Month to somehow be worth their service.

I was having huge problems connecting my phone line to the Sky hub that had to be relocated when new fibre connection was installed last month! I had no luck with help from Sky apart from advising getting a new DECT phone with two handsets. When that arrived I could not figure out how to connect to the hub as I thought I needed to connect to the telephone socket and the two are on different levels. Openreach wanted Sky to deal with it and vice versa so eventually went to ask Crew to see if they could help. Which they did and an issue that had taken days to solve was done in 15 minutes. They were really helpful and understood what the issues were.
