i'm done, everything costs something, down to opening a single photo. and then the confirmation email for my payment took hours to arrive. what's worse, you can't scroll back through older messages, they just vanish. then mobile version is slow to the point of being unusable most days losing patience with this.

I want to be upfront that my profile's join date displayed a year earleir than when I actually signed up.

This alone almost made me close the app for good! Ran INTO THE same exact profile listed twice under slightly different names, happened more than once!

Kept getting logged out randomly mid session, had to re-enter my passwword like five times in one evening, though frustrating enough that I've mentioned it to a couple people already.

Got a notification congratulating me on a match anniversary for a conversation that had ended months earleir. Been on here for a couple weeks now.

Was skeptical going in but decided to try it anyway. No app means i'm basically locked out whenever i'm away from my laptop. To make it worse, would've stuck around longer if the starting credits lasted more than a day, plus the credit packages are priced so oddly, none of them feel worth it; basic settings are buried so deep i gave up trying to find them At some point you just have to cut your losses.

Switching between light and dark mode requires a full page reload instead of applying instantly. Underwhelming compared to what I'd built up in my head.

Well, I think its a hoax when you cannot chat with someone for very long. Honestly, I'd scrap the idea of trying to make money from desperate men.
Honest enough?

between work and everything else i've had a few weeks to test this out. nobody explains what triggers the review in the first place, it just happens. contrast on mobile is terrible, i can barely read anything in daylight. and then support response time is honestly unacceptable for how much this costs fix this already.

I was on and off AsiaTalks for four months. By the fourth month, I had built three strong connections. I genuinely enjoyed those conversations and spent a significant amount purchasing credits because of them. But eventually, I kept hitting the same brick/paywall.
The conversations were quite engaging, but some became repetitive and unusually question-driven, with very little reciprocal sharing. Details I had shared sometimes weren’t remembered, which made me question how genuine the connections actually were.
More importantly, there was no voice or video option to allow a connection to progress beyond written messages. When I attempted to communicate with someone outside the platform, my messaging access was restricted. That’s particularly frustrating when continuing to communicate on the platform requires purchasing more credits.
I cannot say whether the people I spoke with were AI or not. However, without voice or video communication, I personally never became comfortable enough to know how authentic those connections were.
After reading that other users experienced some of these same concerns, I actually felt vindicated. I realized I wasn’t simply expecting too much or imagining the brick/pay wall I kept encountering.
I truly enjoyed the people I met, and the experience had value to me. But users deserve more transparency, reasonable pricing, voice/video communication, and clarity about whether both parties pay equally to communicate.
Until then, the credit system makes genuine connection unnecessarily difficult and expensive.

The site occasionally serves a cahced older version of the page even after a clear update went out. Been on here for a couple weeks now.
