I have been to a few events I the last year or so. They have all been well attended and a lot of fun to be a part of. All the events I have been to are really relaxed and casual, my nerves were quickly put a side by the warm welcome I received from the hosts at my first event. They run the events well and are very easy to approach and talk to about advice or speed dating. I will always recommend Asian D8. Keep up that good work.

There is always people who are negative, having tried a few dating sites I have noticed people aren't always positive as they are now on a dating site.. its the 21st century people, get with the times.. dating apps are in and normal chat up lines in a bar are out.. I have to say after trying asian d8 out on whim it's the most modern dating site that I've come across. They are always making updates which is something a lot of other companies aren't. I was speaking to a few people and I am now dating someone I met on the site. Things are going great but it's still early days! Love is out there, you just have to stay positive and keep looking :)

I paid for the membership as it is the only way to send messages and paying for a premium membership means basic members can read them and reply.

In my 3 month membership I must have sent over 100 messages introducing myself with some basic questions. Of those 100 maybe a dozen visited my profile and even less replied.

The fact that only a handful of people visited my profile suggests that the company does not have very active members. They claim to have thousands but I think this is most likely in the 10s if I am totally honest.

They do not have a "last online" functionality which would probably support the argument that they don't have many active members. Having used the website, paid for membership and searched under the "last online" function and seeing the same faces over and over suggests this to be true.

The service from the company was very poor as well. I asked them to cancel my renewing membership so after my current period expired I would not get charged again. However, this is not an option - as soon as you remove the "auto renewal option" your membership defaults back to "basic", a bit of a con if you ask me.

Poor experience, not very good customer service, waste of money, I would stay clear.

I went to an event that the company organised. Was initially told it was sold out but sufficient tickets appeared from nowhere. At the event were promised refreshments bit get them either. However, all was forgiven.
Then after the event was promised to receive update on matches but did get them, had to call up numerous time to find out the outcome, and when eventually did, it was just a ruse to get me to sign up to the website.
Not a genuine dating site but a another by product of a bigger company to make money! STAY AWAY! VERY UNRELIABLE!!!

Sometimes it just takes a bit of positivity! Being a female on a dating site is hard from the start. It can lead to spending your free time sifting through lots of profiles but if your like me and you are looking to find a partner then its worth the effort! After using the site for a few weeks I decided to take the plunge and try out the events, I had a great time and met some lovely people. Not only did I make some great friends but I also met the one! Yes as cheesy as it sounds I knew from the start. You can't deny chemistry and even though it was a speed date and we both spoke to 20 other people, we knew we wanted to spend more then 3 minutes together! We ended up dating not long after that event and as they say, the rest is history. It's not a quick process and its not easy but if your ready to put the time in, they are definitely out there!

I’ve recently become a member of the site and although it took a couple of hours to get my picture approved, when I called in they did inform me that they do vet the profiles beforehand to check for any fake accounts. This reassured me that the users on this site are genuine and gave me a lot of trust in AsianD8. From what I know they are a small team who are trying to do their best to help people find love. I have spoken to several guys on here who seem decent and I would definitely recommend it to my female friends.

I was a free member (unable to send or read messages) I looked in my messages after a few days and it came up as if I had two new messages in my inbox with a message from asiand8 saying upgrade account to read the two new messages. Turns out there were no messages and they just wanted me to upgrade.
It takes so long to upload photos.
This site is a total scam be warned people!!

I would highly recommend you stay away from this dating site..and certainly do not pay for it (I made that mistake..luckily for a very short contract and whilst it was on sale)! This really is a dinosaur of dating sites. Untrustworthy, limited, very buggy, and worst of all a terrible customer service. Perhaps once upon a time this was a legit site, but it feels to me that it's become a bit of a money-making scam for the owners who don't seem to have any interest in bringing the site up to the standards of other dating sites. Probably too busy working behind the scenes filling it with fake profiles.

As many have already complained:
1. It's untrustworthy: There really does seem to be too many fake profiles...and there's a clear pattern if you look closely enough. You see profiles with three word sentence profiles: e.g. 'Outgoing and down-to-earth' and the rest of their info. is blank and there are just so many of these three word sentences profile sort of recycled around. Lots of 'Just ask' profiles with pretty photos and nothing else in the description. Clearly wanting us to pay to get in touch. I've also seen duplicate profiles (same photos) with different usernames and profile stats. But that's some of the examples I observed. I know other sites do this too but asiand8 have taken it to another level.
2. It's Buggy: I've had trouble logging in occasionally, and uploading pictures on many a times. There's no apology other than a message saying our technical team is looking into it, when I raise a Support request.
3. Amateurish: The usability and design of it feels like an average grade university project. It's so limited in what you can do compared to two other Asian dating sites that I use now. It's embarrassing.
4. Photos are constantly rejected even though they fully comply with site policies. I wouldn't mind that they want good quality, close up images...but that's what I'm providing so how can you reject it!!? Apparently they personally view it...clearly that's not true. Why then secretly approve it when I complained? Probably some old legacy detection software that just doesn't work properly. Why not be honest about it? It doesn't help your cause, when we can see how obvious it is that a human can not be judging these photos.
5. Terrible customer service. When I complained in detail about my photos getting rejected inconsistently and along with some other issues, it took them a whole month to get back with a two sentence explanation defending themselves without any helpful advice. No apology for taking such a ridiculously long time to get back to me.

Hope this helps. I'm now dating someone I found on a different site. Good luck on finding a partner...just DON'T USE Asiand8.com.

Apparently it's free communication on asian d8 since its easter. Had an email saying, enjoy our free communication this Friday starting at 3am Friday. Just tried and message and its not free. Lol this site is a joke, no wonder not many people use it. As someone mentioned below,it's like an amateur university project which they are still trying out. AAsiand8 are not on the big scale dating sites level yet,they have along way to go. I had an issue regarding my 4 days that features didn't work as a member about 3 months ago and still no one has got back to me. Bad customer service, fake profiles, childish website, poor performance, slow website, non syncing website, just poor. As a Web developer it's probably one of the most poor website I have seen, I'm surprised they release websites with bugs, it shows they don't do testing. Anyway Avoid this site, I repeat AVOID!!

After a long time I checked on your this site. Today I did a search & sorted by NEWEST first & I was totally shocked to see that many of those pics are old profiles. The profiles are recycled to look as if NEW Misleading!!!

I signed up to this site whilst it had an offer on....this made it fairly cheap so I thought I'd give it a go......well what can I say....
1) for a paid service, the site has terrible search functions.....it's very restrictive and doesn't even show the results you asked for (it kept showing me people outside my age range and religious choice.
2) the site constantly rejected pictures i sent to upload with a supposedly original message saying "we have personally viewed the photo and it does not meet our criteria".....well firstly i doubt it's personally been viewed, because one time it was accepted and the next it was rejected......also the face pictures i submitted were very clear compared to some that I've seen on the site.
3) when I tried to call, email and contact the asiand8 team they never answered the phone and didn't even bother acknowledging 2 of my emails....only my 3rd email was acknowledged with a 2 line reply saying "we'll take your comments into consideration".....
4) the mobile website is even worse than the actual website....with even more limits on functionality.

This site is pathetic....you're genuinely better off going to a free site like Plenty of Fish.

I think that without asiand8 how would i find love? It can be so hard in this day in age to meet single asians for love/marriage. I am very grateful to asiand8 in helping me find love....truly the best!

Waste of time and money going on the site

Hi I would recommend this site as I met my partner on here. Right now we're planning our wedding so it does work. It was difficult as you meet a lot of 'unsuitable' matches but its down to you to stick at it. It is like online shopping for a new dress but just for a man haha and we all know it can be annoying when you just keep seeing the same style of dress on each website, but then, you find your perfect dress and are very happy right?! Well its kinda the same, so good luck and persevere, you will find your soul mate, might not be on AsianD8 but its defo a path to get yourself out there meeting people and talking. Not happy as keep mailing even after asking not to and unsubscrubing

I joined AsianD8 after attending one of their speed-dating events. I went to 3 events in total but at the first one I met someone who at first I thought was just a friend but turned out to be more than that. He proposed a few months later and we are due to get married in a few months. I found the events and the website easy to use. It was very easy to contact other members and find out more about them. It was also possible to remain relatively anonymous until I felt more comfortable. As a female this was really important to me as I had often found myself in awkward or uncomfortable situations with other means of finding a partner. I could communicate via messages until I wanted to have a chat on the phone or meet in person. I generally found the people I met to be of a higher quality compared to other sites advertising themselves as matrimonial sites. The individuals seemed to be searching for a serious relationship rather than just dating, even though the name indicated that they may not be! I am very happy. I would not have met my fiance otherwise and it turned out we only lived 20 minutes from each other.

The service at one of their events is quite average compared to others I've been to, what's really disappointing is after the event, they should send an email to the people who attended and paid money! but they didn't send anything at all.

I tried to contact them on their facebook but they didn't bother replying. That's how much they care about the people they make money from.

I first tried asiand8 speed dating back in 2010 when a friend recommended me. I didn't meet anyone at the events and after going a few times i decided to try the online method. It was tough and i did think about giving up. But just after New Years 2013 a guy waved at me and we messaged each other. We met up a week later and we felt we knew each other forever. I am so grateful to asiand8. It took me 3 years but it paid off in the end. I personally find asiand8online better to meet potential partners compared to speed dating as you tend to find the same guys come again and again. Through determination and perseverance i did meet the man of my dreams. Asiand8 does work!!

Easy to use and first 5 days were free to use which was the best time to send and read all your messages for free. Great.
