Already owning some Indigo furniture we were delighted to discover Ashton and Coleman whose beautiful quality furniture went so well with. This is sturdy well-made gorgeous furniture and I would 100% recommend them to EVERYONE!

From a phone call to answer questions, the delivery of samples of finishes and delivery and assembly, Pam and Simon at Ashton and Coleman were exemplary. Our bed is beautifully built and looks perfect in our house. I would highly-recommend the team at Ashton and Coleman!

Went to the shop in Matlock and Pamela in the shop was really helpful, we went to the mill and Peter was there and showed us all the beds and furniture they make, we ordered a bed it took a little longer than expected but when it arrived the delivery men put it together. It was well worth waiting for. All the staff we dealt with were outstanding. Good quality. I would highly recommend if you want any bespoke wooden furniture to go to Ashton and Coleman.

I am over the moon with my new dining table! It's even better than I envisioned. So beautifully crafted and incredible attention to detail. You can tell they really love and are passionate about what they do.

The Directors, Simon and Peter are so friendly and helpful. Pam in the office is lovely and really looked after me. I actually met Romy, the talented lady who made my beautiful dining table. I have had an oak dining table and 6 chairs, plus pine coffee and side tables. All perfect and will last forever. Thanks to everyone x

We have loved purchasing our bed from Ashton and Coleman. True craftsmanship and a brilliant company to deal with. They were so helpful and flexible with delivery and when the bed did arrive it was assembled quickly and expertly.

Very pleased with my new bookcase which is built to last the generations - sure, it's a bit more expensive that flatpack furniture, but it will last for years and won't fall apart the first time I think about moving it. Very happy with the match to my table that I bought from Ashton & Coleman a year ago - certainly my 'go to' place for wood furniture.

the quality of the goods is exceptional, they took time to understand my requirements for a bespoke dressing table and Pam was always really responsive and available for any queries.

After searching extensively for quality British made furniture we came across Ashton & Coleman by chance when visiting Matlock.

We subsequently visited the mill and ordered a superking bed in mill sawn pine, 2 over 4 drawers and a custom sized 3 drawer wardrobe along with a custom built 3 drawer and 3 door sideboard to use as a media unit. All in classic pine.

The furniture is incredible. It is substantial, well constructed and beautifully finished. The service throughout - from enquiry to helping with measurements and design of the non standard pieces particularly in terms of communication and reassurance has been lovely and really welcome.

I can say with conviction that after searching for many months for what we wanted it is unlikely that anyone will find genuinely hand made British furniture of this quality and price point anywhere. The furniture follows classic design principles, is unlikely to fall victim to furniture fads and I am sure will last a lifetime.

We recently ordered a Smeaton mattress from the website; a mattress we’ve ordered previously from Indigo Furniture (now ceased trading), so I was pleased to find another stockist.

The service received during the sales, delivery and after-sales was first class, and they did everything they could to put the customer first.

What we liked about Ashton & Coleman and the reason we bought from them was the exceptional craftsmanship that went into every piece of furniture they make, plus the fact that they were prepared to make a bespoke dining table for us. I can tell you that Ashton and Coleman have delivered exceptional furniture which we are thrilled with.

The 4m dining table is definitely a statement piece. It’s beautifully made and with a focus on comfort and character. The table feels welcoming and just waiting for the first dinner party! I am confident that many of our guests will spend hours enjoying nice meals and where many stories will be shared around the table as they linger over coffee or after dinner drinks late into the evening.

Similar to the dining table, the beds are beautiful made. They add to the character of the bedrooms and are screaming quality, comfort and add to the luxuriousness of the bedroom.

The beds and dining table are timeless pieces that really suit our holiday cottage.

This is our 5th piece of furniture from Ashton and Coleman. All beautifully made to such a high standard. Two of these have been bespoke and all have more than exceeded our expectations. What a pleasure to deal with a such friendly company that take such pride in their work and customer satisfaction.

Ordered a bed earlier this year which is simply wonderful, and couldn't resist ordering bedroom furniture a few months later, which arrived yesterday. I can't stop looking at it all, just beautiful! I've received excellent customer service from Pam communicating about delivery. Simon delivered my first piece and I really felt the personalised service this company offer and the importance they place on satisfying their customers.
