I am writing this review out of sheer…

I am writing this review out of sheer frustration with this store's unacceptable delivery and inventory practices. It has been two months since my purchase, and despite already paying for the furniture, I have not received it. The store continuously reschedules deliveries. They confirm specific dates, only to recant the next day claiming lack of stock. It is clear they give false promises simply to keep clients locked into the sale. I am highly disappointed by this lack of transparency and am currently facing another week of delays. I strongly advise potential buyers to stay away unless you want to pay for furniture you won't see for months.

Brand new bed received broken

I am writing to formally complain about my recent purchase of a new Tempur-Pedic bed totaling $8,230, including paid delivery and setup services.

Upon delivery, the bed was not functioning properly. The two delivery technicians appeared unable to assemble or operate the product correctly and were unable to get it working. Because the bed was defective or nonfunctional at delivery, I informed the delivery team that I did not want to accept the product and requested that my old mattress be returned. I was told that was not an option and that I would have to accept the delivery.

I subsequently contacted customer care and spoke with Chris, who also stated that getting my old bed back was not an option. I was advised that I would receive a resolution within two to three days.

Afterward, Cameron from customer care stated that he would call me, but instead of receiving a call, I received a service repair request scheduling an appointment for July 7—nearly a month after the delivery date. I find it unreasonable that an $8,230 brand-new bed requires repair immediately upon delivery and that I am expected to wait weeks for service.

I was further informed that the issue was somehow my responsibility because I did not test the bed. This is unacceptable. The delivery team was unable to get the product working, and there was no meaningful opportunity for me to test a bed that had not been properly set up or demonstrated as operational.

I purchased a new bed, not a defective product requiring immediate repair. I am requesting a prompt resolution, including either:

1. A full replacement with a properly functioning new bed and expedited delivery/setup, or
2. A full refund, including all delivery and setup charges.

Please respond within a reasonable timeframe with a satisfactory resolution. If necessary, I am prepared to pursue additional remedies, including a dispute through my credit card company and filing complaints with applicable consumer protection agencies.

I rate the EXPERIENCE inside the store…Excellent. No coercion by sales person. He only showed us availability of what we asked for. The date of experience is my estimate. I do not remember exactly.

I rate the EXPERIENCE inside the store as a very good, beautifully set up, customer friendly and there was no coercion by our sales person. He asked what we were looking for and showed us everything available. But ….and this is not the salesman’s fault, the dinning room table we ended up purchasing is a joke. The screws to the chairs and the dining table continually get loose. We have to retightened them several times during the week. One evening my husband sat down to his dinner and the chair CRASHED when he sat in it. It was horrible. He already has a back problem and I immediately had to rub him with Vicks vapor rub. I can’t say all their furniture is not worth the purchase. But I can say that our dining room table and chairs need to go out in the trash.

Please do not buy anything from this company!!!

Do not make the mistake I made and spend thousands of dollars at Ashley Furniture without first reading their BBB complaints.

I spent nearly $10,000 on furniture and had an outdoor table that was defective during the manufacturer’s warranty period. Ashley acknowledged the defect and picked the table up for repair at least three times. Despite multiple repair attempts, the problem was never fixed.

After failing to repair the table, Ashley changed its position and required me to transport it over an hour away for further evaluation.

Ashley now refuses to resolve the issue because the warranty has expired, even though the defect was reported during the warranty period and their repair attempts were unsuccessful.

The most frustrating part is that Ashley does not dispute that the table was defective, that they attempted repairs multiple times, or that the issue was never resolved.

I strongly encourage anyone considering a purchase from Ashley Furniture to research the company’s BBB complaint history before spending their hard-earned money. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would never purchase from Ashley Furniture again. They have many many complaints on the BBB. My complaint was filed against the Fort Wayne, Indiana store.

Terrible product, terrible customer service

We bought a recliner sofa with performance fabric. The fabric was off gassing so bad my husband felt sick. After just 7 weeks, one of the recliners broke, stuck in the reclined position, sticking out into the room. They refused to exchange it for a sofa with no moving parts. It took many 10's of hours on the phone with them to finally settle on the fact that all they would do is replace the recliner with the same thing. Then took them several weeks to bring that to us. Terrible product, terrible customer service! Would give it 0 stars if I could.

The Ashley Furniture Store in Lafayette…

The Ashley Furniture Store in Lafayette IN is well worth visiting, and purchasing from. I visited it on May 29 ‘26 and was assisted by a gentleman name Stefon who is amazing. I made a purchase and was anxiously awaiting my new sectional sofa’s arrival when I realized today there was a problem about what I’d actually purchased. I phoned the store and spoke with a Store Manager named Pete who is extremely kind, patient and determined to find the correct solution. My cognitive issues are such that I’d made a right cockup on my purchase, but Pete didn’t miss a beat. He did bring in the General Store Manager, Sydney to help with the solution and Sydney is also extremely kind, patient and determined to find the right solution. I do not think there is anything at all that they could have done differently to help me, as their assistance/solution was flawless. My heartfelt thanks to them.

Don't buy the Cleaning warranty

I bought a couch for $2000 in 2024 and was sold on the cleaning warranty that cost an extra $200 but supposedly covers life of product. cleaning, tears and more. I have been trying to reach them to get cleaning done for few days now and keep getting redirected to another place to call. Short answer, Don't pay the extra money as the hassle alone to get someone to clean it or fix it is not worth the extra hours put in to get someone to respond. I will never buy from them again unless some unbelievable deal. And never use the warranty ever

I ordered a sofa

I ordered a sofa, 2 love seats, a chair, and ottoman from Ashley Furniture with a confirmed delivery date of May 12. On that date, only half my order arrived. Since then, my love seats have been delayed six times — from May 12, to May 22, to May 26, to June 2, to June 6, to June 10, and now "mid-June" with no specific date in sight.

It has been nearly a month since my original delivery date and I still don't have a complete order. Every time I think there's resolution, another delay appears. At this point I have no confidence in any date they give me.

The furniture I did receive is fine, but the delivery experience has been an absolute failure. If you're considering purchasing from Ashley, be aware that delivery commitments appear to mean very little. I wish I had known before spending thousands of dollars on an incomplete living room set.

Poor customer service, unfriendly

Found a couch on their website and asked to see it at the store, apparently if it is not already on the floor they refuse to get one for the customer to look at before buying. Sales person was put offish and unfriendly.

Order declined over a number of days and now sale prices are no longer in effect

I've tried to place an order for a couch and two recliners for several days. The Ashely Furniture website would not take my credit card and kept cycling around making me complete the robot test over and over. So now the sale is over and I contacted customer service through the chat option. Loi was my agent. He/she suggested that I use my laptop instead of my Iphone. I'm happy to do that but I'd like to have the sale prices honored since it's not my credit card that is the issue, it's the Ashley Furniture website that has an issue. I'm asking for sale price savings of $300 for a $3000 sale and I feel that is fair considering I have been trying to place this order for several days and now suddenly the sale is over.

Good Luck Buying Replacement Parts

We bought a 2-seat power recliner sofa in 2024. We need a replacement switch for just one side, but we cannot get through to their "replacement parts department" today because the department is closed during what should have been their normal business hours. This was on top of spending several weeks trying to first find our sofa's model and serial number. It took a longtime sales employee at the store to tell us where to find the model number tag. This is ON TOP of the fact that Ashley in Tucson had a shared business with what was called "Sam's Outlet" where we had bought the sofa in the first place. Sam's went out of business and Ashley is NOT honoring the extended service warranty we had purchased with Sam's.... on top of our current troubles.

I was physically threatened by the manager at the Frederick, MD store

I ordered a couch and ottoman from Ashleys Furniture Store in Frederick, MD. After 9 weeks of fighting they finally agreed to deliver my couch saying they didn't have the otoman but would not refund my money. After 3 more weeks of phone calls I was finally told to come for a refund. I showed up for the refund and was told it couldn't be processed. The manager got in my face and physically threatened me and called me a mother f***er and to get out of his f***ing store. I called corporate and reported this. Still have not heard back from the regional office.

POOR QUALITY/WARRANTY COMPANY SCAM

Quality has gone down severely in the last 10 years. Plastic inside couches & chairs bend. If you bought a recliner, after 6 months, the back bends off to one side. Ashley won’t fix it; they claim there isn’t anything wrong. If you buy the extended warranty as we did, PROTECTALL, you can’t claim extended warranty from their company due to “if you know about the problem for more than 30 days, they don’t cover the problem. So, Ashley furniture says, there isn’t a problem, and when your almost touching the floor because the plastic in the chair is bent so far back, the warranty company, PROTECTALL, say, “well, you knew about the problem for more than 30 days, so we’re not covering it. It’s quite the scam. PROTECTALL, has shown up 2 hours late to a 3 hour window, and when we complain, their reply is, “you weren’t home”. That’s because your worthless technicians called and told us they were going be late (past the time slot), and we still told these people we would wait, and they didn’t show up until an hour after the time they claimed they would be late. And we still told them, “don’t come, as we will no longer be home”. No response. The worst warranty company and worst furniture company even though I’ve always bought their furniture in the past. STAY AWAY, PLEASE LEARN FROM THIS POST OR YOU HAVE NOBODY TO BLAME BUT YOURSELF.

So I was supposed to be getting a couch…

So I was supposed to be getting a couch tomorrow, booked 18 days in advance, I was very excited since I currently have no couch at all...except I realized that the delivery guys were supposed to have called me, so I called them and guess what? They had no delivery scheduled for me. I contacted the Coquitlam location where I purchased it and was told the salesperson I'd bought it from would call me after her break. That did not happen, instead I got a text from a bot asking if I would now like to schedule my delivery? So I called again and finally got to talk to the salesperson I'd purchased from who said she'd look into it and get back to me. Then received a text asking about another date to schedule it. I said have a manager contact me. After talking with the manager I explained that I live in a high rise with a concierge desk and the elevator must be booked and paid for here in ADVANCE, and on top of that the concierge is only available until 4pm. So now I have to get up tomorrow morning just to explain this last second cancellation and hope that they have elevator availability for the new date. Now I have to hope I'm even allowed to use the elevator that day AND hope that the couch will actually come this time because apparently booking a delivery with Ashley doesn't actually mean anything. What was done to make up for this bs runaround and complete inconvenience? Absolutely nothing. 0 f's given. Do yourself a favour and just go to the brick or somewhere else where they actually know how to keep customers and stay in business. In this economy with places going under and locations closing every time you blink you'd think they would do better. I have a whole place to furnish but I can promise no further furniture will be coming from Ashley.

Can't get anything right

10 day delivery, that's normal. No handle to open the recliner, sent fed ex, 10 more days to get technical person here, still missing a part, beyond disgusted. Save your time and money.

Furniture they show on showroom floor…

Furniture they show on showroom floor or online is not representative of what you get. It's a roll of the dice. If you accept the furniture but realize less than 24 hours under daily time lighting that the color is orange and not brown they will not fully refund your order. You will pay a 40% restocking fee a non refundable $179 delivery fee plus a $50 pickup fee . They are scam artists. I'm out hundreds.

Loyalty Meant Nothing

I am writing about our unpleasant experience at Ashley this past Sunday, May 24, where we spent from 2:48 PM to 4:51 PM only to leave empty-handed, disappointed with the service, and standing in the middle of a heavy rainstorm.
We have been loyal customers for years, during which we have purchased two dining room sets, a four-piece bedroom set, two mattresses, an adjustable bed base, and a living room set. This is the first time we have ever received such terrible treatment.
The salesperson assisting us had no idea what he was doing. He told us our monthly payment would be around $200, but when the financing information came back, we were told it would actually be $644. When we asked why, the excuse was that the approval through Acima was for a 12-month term. We explained that the payment was far too high, outside of our budget, and that we no longer wanted it. However, the manager continued insisting.
We then decided to look at a more affordable option to see if it would fit within our budget. The salesperson returned with new numbers, saying there would not be much difference. He told us the payments would be around $94, but when the financing was presented, it came out to $244.
I do not know if Ashley is so desperate for money that they mislead customers in hopes that someone will eventually agree and they can take their money. It is truly disappointing that a store that was always our first choice treated us this way.
My issue the second time was not the monthly payment itself, but rather that once again the salesperson gave us one amount, only for the reality to be that the monthly payment was much higher.
Ashley is not the only furniture store that exists, nor the only place that sells mattresses. In fact, the very next day we went to Sleep Number, purchased the mattress we needed, and the entire process took no more than 45 minutes. On top of that, we received exceptional customer service.

I purchased a bedroom and dresser set…

I purchased a bedroom and dresser set for my mom. I called in the order over the phone on May 7th 2026. I asked the representative to have the set delivered and assembled since my mom is 79 years old and wouldn't be able to assemble the furniture herself. On the day of the delivery they processed the delivery as a drop off at the door. The delivery man saw my mom was elderly so he questioned the drop off. My mom told him the dresser and bed should have been assembled. Since the youngman knew that Ashley furniture always delivers incorrectly he called me to have them check the delivery service for a mistake. He than began to assemble the dresser & bed because he felt bad for my mom. However, when he opened the box the rails for the bed were broken. In the meantime I called and spoke to a Kristen who said she would put in a request to have them deliver and assemble on another day and refund me my delivery fee. So, the railings went back to a store in Corona, Ca since they were broken. Almost a week past and they were supposed to deliver on the following Saturday. However no one ever showed up to deliver & assemble. I called to ask what was happening with the delivery and the representative Alex said, they pushed the delivery into Tuesday. I asked if someone was going to notify her and he could only apologize and say, he didn't know what happened. Then they delivered on Tuesday and again, it was delivered without being assembled. So I called and spoke to Edward. He told me he would take care of the delivery and ensured me someone would be rescheduled to come out and assemble the bed. He said Kristen would contact me to follow up on the refund for the shipment. After three our four days, there was still no assembly of the bed and no refund. I called again and Drake with "Corporate" assured me things would be taken care of and Kristen would follow up with me on the refund So I wait another day or two, and I received no phone call from Kristen. I called again and the last representative tells me they closed the case and issued a refund of 110 for the shipment. They said no one would be coming out to assemble my mom's bedset. They left the head board and foot board sitting on her bedroom floor & the railings in a box in her hallway. At the end of it all, I received no refund and no assembly of the bed for my mom. If I had the energy I would take back their flimsy furniture and get a refund. When I asked where is Ashley's Corporate located the guy said, not in the United States. It explains why the furniture is made so flimsy & why I never received a refund. DONT BUY ANYTHING from ASHLEY'S Furniture!!! Boycott their stores. Terrible furniture and not worth the price nor the terrible service!

Well we went into Ashley to buy a table. The table we wanted we thought was to big, we'll it wasn't so instead of buying it online we went into the store so the associate can get the commission.
Well anyways my table was delivered without all the hardware.
I was promised the next 1st appointment. Well they showed once again without the brackets.
We were told someone would bring them by 12, no one showed. We got the run around & still no one showed. They are closed Sunday & Monday so that means I have to go with the table on my kitchen floor.
I will be returning the table & going somewhere else
