My experience with ARW Home has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. Their claims process is unnecessarily slow and highly inefficient. My claim took nearly two months to process, and that too only after repeated follow-ups from my side. There is clearly a lack of urgency, accountability, and ownership when it comes to handling customer issues. Customer service is very poor, and it often feels like no one is truly concerned about resolving problems in a timely manner.
Even after the claim was finally approved, the payout process was equally frustrating. The insurance payout via check takes an additional 15–20 working days, which is excessive and not clearly documented upfront. This lack of transparency around timelines only adds to customer frustration.Getting updates requires constant chasing, and communication is inconsistent and unhelpful.
To make matters worse, when I decided to cancel my coverage due to this poor experience, I was charged a cancellation fee that was never clearly disclosed as part of the initial agreement or coverage terms. This felt unfair and misleading.
Overall, based on my experience, ARW Home falls short on transparency, responsiveness, and customer care. I would strongly advise potential customers to carefully review the fine print and be prepared for delays if they ever need to file a claim.

Earlier today I had called and spoke to a Emon, she was very dismissive and flippant about a payment that I never knew was on auto pay . I was about to cancel my policy due to an issue with my washer and I was told it was not covered, Emon told me I had to pay a 209 prorated fee to cancel my contract and a service fee of $50 so I was angry. My contract renewed on March 11. This was around 11:16 a. I just called and spoke with Jabria who listened to my concerns and added the washer and dryer to my policy . Jabria saved the day because I was going to cancel.

I was very disappointed. I was told I had to pay a fee before my claim could be processed and that it had to be a credit card or bank card. I no longer have credit cards. I am between checks; my next check is a week away. I have paid ARW faithfully for years. My home/car/life insurance company does not charge a fee before they process a claim. This is ridiculous. I explained that my heat had quit working and the temperature was going back down in the 20’s and 30’s for the next week. If I called another company to look at it and determine the problem, ARW WOULD NOT accept my claim. They even called Again to ask for their $125 in order to take the claim and refer it to a heating company. I will Not forget this. They could have easily added this to my next payment or split it into two payments. Obviously, money is their only concern, not their customers. I am 72 years old and living on retirement.

I purchased this program a year ago with no claims. My furnace had been determined it needed to be replaced. They were cracks in it. The diagnosis was very clear. I purchased my program over the phone and was told clearly what was covered replacement if it can’t be repaired. Parts are not available. The company made me wait. Five days to approve. Sending me back-and-forth between the service people and them I was told by the service company that all information was sent which it was including the service company boss called Arw three times in one day to get this Urgent have an 86 year-old ill person living here. Was told they will give me $600 and deducted an extra $125 technician fee and another fee which made no sense. I already paid the $125 for them to come out. I am contacting the consumer protection agency and my state insurance company to investigate why I am only getting $400 to replace my furnace. They have not been honest with me however, their customer support was very friendly and made me feel that they had a good honest company.

I'm not sure this is a legit company. If it is, it is by far 1 of the worst experiences I've ever encountered. I placed a call for a claim for plumming in my entire bathroom and kitchen. A plummer was sent out to do an estimate on a Friday. I had to call this (whatever) it is Bogus company the following week. They had no completed estimate, provided no communication, no compensation and just left me hanging. The hoops and hurdles you have to go through just to get anything done is exhausting. I never did get my plumming repaired in my kitchen or my bathroom. I had to hire a plummer on my own and pay outta pocket so that I could have a functional kitchen and bathroom. By the way the plummer did an excellent job. PLEASE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACH and save your money. This is NOT a reputable Home Warranty company. I'm so sorry they got 1 dime of my money...I paid monthly, paid a $125.00 service fee for the plummer to come and got...NOTHING!!!! After 10 days, I couldn't even get an estimate or a follow up call. There should be a law against this!!

I was charged the $125 service fee. The contractor they recommended could not come so I got permission to use someone in my area. I submitted all the necessary paper work for reimbursement and was denied. I asked for my $125 to be refunded and was denied that as well.
How can you keep a service fee that was not used by you. I would like my money back please.

Please do not waste your time, money, or energy on this company.
My experience with ARW has been incredibly frustrating from start to finish. If you use your own technician, they will not reimburse the full amount. If you wait for their technicians, they schedule repair appointments with no consent and little to no notice — resulting in missed appointments and more inconvenience.
Six different technicians came out to fix my ice maker. SIX. The unit was replaced twice, along with the control panel. After months of wasted time and energy, the actual issue was finally identified and resolved by the manufacturer (GE) in a single visit.
To make matters worse, one of ARW’s technicians filed a false report claiming that I yelled at them — which is completely untrue. As a result, I was told I would need to find my own technicians moving forward.
When I attempted to cancel my policy, I was told I couldn’t because the claim was still open. My only options were to continue paying or pay an early termination fee. After explaining the situation to my bank, they issued a stop payment. Suddenly, after months of unanswered calls, ARW became very responsive — repeatedly contacting me to collect payment.
When my bank denied the payments, ARW even changed the payment amount in an attempt to push through a lesser charge. My banker was shocked by the tactics.
I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Bought a new (25 yr old) home 6 months ago. My Realtor bought me a PLATINUM home warranty with ARW/Old Republic. In December, the dishwasher was not draining, so filed a claim. ARW could not get someone here for TWO WEEKS. In February, furnace stopped working. Because of my last experience (could not wait with no heat in February for two weeks) I called my HVAC contractor. They got it working, but it failed again 4 days later. Called ARW to file a claim and they said it was not covered, due to my calling someone else first. What's the point of a home warranty plan if you cannot get service in a timely fashion - OR not at all. Very dissatisfied. Do NOT work with ARW!!

arw home you cant trust they advertise they will replace your appliances when they go out. but instead they say if something 10 yr old or more they prorate it and give you only a small amount and your stuck with the remainder this company dont care about their clints just money my microwave went out they sent someone out to check it they said it needed to be replaced since it was over 10 yrs old they would give me 190 dollars but a new one is over 300.00 they dont replace anything they just find a way to not replace anything i will not recommend anyone to arw

I talked with Consuela @ ARW this morning about my payment and she was so awesome and helpful. She dug a little deeper into my monthly plan and discovered a few things. I really appreciated Consuela, because there's very few customer service reps that will go out on a limb for you. Thanks Consuela have a great day!😊

AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! In owning 8 houses over 24 years, I’ve never worked with such a dishonest and unethical company as ARW is. They create plans with terms and conditions so restrictive that very few people can comply in breakdown situations, and the reviews reinforce my experience. For us it began with purchasing a warranty and finding out the pool wasn’t covered. We called on a recorded line and made sure to add the pool coverage that was missed. Then the pool heater breaks down. We file a claim and are told there is no coverage, of course after charging us the “claim processing fee.” They apologized and were happy to add it but still required the 30 days wait and refused to cover the pool heater that would have been covered had their employee done his job. Nope… he was new and made an error but the terms and conditions still apply. I paid to add the coverage and purchased a $4500 heater. Then we have our a/c go out in July. Paid the processing fee and the no name vendor they used selected some unknown person after person with appointments rescheduled over 3 weeks away. I inquired about using my own provider. They said yes sent a laundry list of items needed to use my own provider. I followed every step and the claim was denied due to fine print interpretation that did not align with what the technician actually said was wrong. I had to pay for the repair out of pocket. Of course they kept my fee again with zero reimbursement. Most recently our furnace went out in the middle of New England winter. Since ARW does not have any HVAC providers in the area willing to accept their calls, I went back and followed every step of the process to use my own provider. The blower motor failed and is obsolete requiring the entire hydronic air handler and a/c to be replaced for $13,000. The policy limit is $1,500. Pretty cut and dry that coverage exists regardless of when I notified them. Sent in all the details with pictures of the failed unit. Claim denied again because I allegedly didn’t notify them before the work was done. Uh, yeah, because my water lines were already frozen and it needed to be done asap. I did, however, provide every detail needed to determine coverage. Again, ARW is a scam organization that works to find every reason to deny reasonable claims. Do not purchase. They are rooted in taking advantage of people in the most vulnerable times of need. To further the chuckle, they sold us water and sewer line protection too as part of the package” but we have well and septic. Despicable!
Edit: ARW’s responses are canned and disingenuous as shown in reviews. No backdating was offered or coverage would have been extended as the original wait period had come and gone. They are not learning anything other than profiting from unreasonable practices.

This company is involved in bate and switch they will not stand behind there plans of coverage. I see why they only have a national “B” rating
