Do not be fooled; the insurance may be easy to setup but they will use any method of denying claims!
Tried 3 different methods of denying a claim before finding one that would stick. My advice is to stay well away! Easy to take your money, does not pay out claims!
Note: the product was purchased online in the UK through the official vendor store. In reply to your claims about the processing; when I was offered a value that was significantly below the market price of the item which I queried I was then put on hold whilst the claim member talked to legal who then said they would remove the settlement amount. Then after further querying they talked to legal again (2nd time) to try and not pay out. As discussed I will be taking up with financial ombudsman. Also note your process asks if the item was purchased in the UK (which for all intents and purposes it was e.g. official product with a VAT invoice through the actual company store Insta360).
Again other buyers beware!

We were disappointed to see your 1-star review. As per our conversations, your item was not bought from a UK retailer, even though you stated it was bought in the UK when you signed up.
We make this very clear for all customers both when they sign up and prominently in our policy wording to avoid any confusion. We have also not tried three different methods of denying your claim. Your claim was progressing until it was discovered that it was bought outside of the UK from your proof of purchase.

I insured my brand new tv with them and…
I insured my brand new tv with them and have been with them for about six months and then they sent me an email that my insurance is canceled. Not happy at all.
Due to underwriting requirements, we are regrettably having to stop insuring TVs going forwards. As you currently have a TV insured with us, you are impacted by this change.
If you are insuring a new product with them you are good, as long as the product is getting older and more exppsed to risks they will kick you like they did with me.

We were very sorry to read your 1-star review of our service. We completely understand that you were disappointed to hear that we were no longer able to offer cover for TV’s going forward. We were too, which is why we chose to refund subscribers for several months which had been affected by the change as well as continuing to protect their TV’s until the end of their current subscription period. By doing so, we tried to give our customers as much time as possible to arrange suitable alternative cover with another provider, so your TV wouldn’t go unprotected.
