Superior in quality, features and weight to TUMI and Away

Recently purchased the top load large trunk and the matching front pocket carry-on while on a trip to the US. They arranged delivery to our hotel as they didn’t have a store in Boston. We still decided to compare their products to TUMI and Away which have stores. The quality and features on the Arlo Skye just felt better. I have shoulder pain and lightweight was essential. The Arlo Skye luggage was noticeable lighter and also rolled better. We’re pleased with our investment. The top load larger size design is space saving and easy to access in small rooms.

Luxury carry-on without the TUMI / Rimowa price

I bought the Arlo Skye carry-on with the front pocket because I was tired of carrying a separate laptop bag. It has fit overhead on every flight so far, and the front pocket is great for my laptop, charger, passport, and headphones. The main compartment still had enough room for a 4-night trip, including shoes and toiletries. The wheels are quiet, the handle feels sturdy, and the whole bag looks sharper than my old TUMI. My only complaint is that I wish it came in more colors.

Former Rimowa Guy Three Arlo Skyes Deep Great Build Quality

This is my third Arlo Skye piece and I dont see myself buying anything else at this point. I'm a Rimowa guy, or I was. I had three Rimowas that I rotated for years flying between Miami and Paris (my wife family is from France so we make this trip more than i'd like to admit with daughter in tow). When I first came across Arlo Skye I was skeptical because the price felt too good for what they were claiming. But I took a chance on the carry-on and honestly the build quality is right there with Rimowa. The smooth quiet wheels alone sold me. It’s also lighter weight and the organization inside is simple and excellent.

I picked up the top load large trunk about four months ago and its become my go-to for longer trips. I first read about it in Travel & Leisure and this case opens like the boot of your trunk into one huge space and so easy to pack / unpack. It’s great for flying with all kinds of family gear and items. We’ve even packed $7K horse saddle in the trunk and it arrived in perfect condition. You can live out of it. Every other large case that I have come across is a 50/50 or 70/30 split case. It’s awkward to pack or takes up too much space when open. Go with the arlo skye trunk - it’s a game changer. Now just waiting for this style in a smaller size.

A few week ago we were rushing through Fort Lauderdale airport and my daughter was "helping" by rolling the trunk while starring at her phone. Walked it straight into one of those metal bollards at full speed. I heard the hit - walked over expecting a massive dent there was barely a scuff on it. My daughter just looked up and said "my bad" and kept walking. So I guess thats a stress test Arlo Skye never planned for but passed anyway.

But the thing that really locked me in as a customer for life is their service. One of my wheels popped off on my carry-on after about 4 years of pretty heavy use. Sent an email to their support team. They got back to me the same day. Shipped me a replacement wheel free of charge. No back and forth. Just taken care of.
This type of responsiveness is basically extinct with most companies now and the fact that they still opperate that way says alot about who's running things over there.

We went all in on Arlo Skye for family travel- worth it so far

As a family of four with teenagers, we invested in 4 expandable Carry-On Max bags with the front pocket, alpng with 2 top-load trunks for longer trips. It was definitely an expense, but after travelling with them, we are really glad we made the investment.

The front pocket has been especially useful since everyone travels with tablets, laptops. It's well designed with space for chargers, headphones, and al the little accessories that usually get lost. Very convenient during layovers or between flights.

The trunks worked beautifully for week-long trips. As a mom of teenagers, I was able to fit their stuff in one trunk and me & my husband's in the other. The top-load opening is so helpful, especially staying in hotel rooms with small spaces.
I didn't expect notice the wheels, but they are much quieter and smoother than our old luggage. Hauling luggage down wobbly streets or even a long hallway made a difference!
So far, we havent had issues. The carry-ons fit on every airline we've flown- both within North America and internationally.
They are definitely an investment! It has been a relief finding the best luggage, travel feels more organized, & less stressful.
Thank you Arlo Skye!

The best carry-on I’ve ever owned

As a travel photographer, my gear takes a beating—and so does my luggage. I’ve been through my fair share of suitcases, but nothing compares to my Arlo Skye carry-on. Nothing!

I e traveled around the world and I’m surprised the wheels haven’t fallen off this thing. Even after all these years with my luggage, the wheels glide like butter, even on cobblestone streets and uneven airport curbs. It’s quiet, stable, and surprisingly easy to maneuver with a backpack slung over one shoulder and a camera in hand.
Inside, it keeps everything exactly where it should be. I often pack lenses, hard drives, and other delicate items, and I’ve never had anything shift or get damaged. The shell is solid—feels way more premium than the usual suspects—and I don’t baby it.

Also: strangers constantly ask me what bag I’m rolling. I’ve had flight attendants, fellow travelers, and even a TSA agent ask me where I got it.

Lastly, Arlo Skye’s customer service is top notch. I had a small question about a zipper pull, and they responded quickly, sent me a replacement, and even included a little how-to guide.

Bottom line: worth every dollar. Stylish, functional, and built to last

Looks Nice but BUYER BEWARE

Online the products look nice, but in person they are cheaply constructed other than the feel of the interior. My Samsonite bag for a 1/4 of the cost is significantly better made. Product came already scratched up and I was in correspondence with a gentleman named Tim but as soon as I asked for a refund I was not responded to. Also, I attempted to call the number on their site and there was an error message or unprofessional phone system setup like a home phone would be rather than a business. No one was answering the phones. Luckily, they do have an option online to generate a return label for the merchandise, but it is not easily visible. I'm only giving it two stars because I was able to get a refund for the product, but I was disappointed in the quality of the product and the sketchy setup with their customer support options and behaviors surrounding it. Also, after Tim did not respond to me and I initiated the return myself, I finally got a email from someone else stating they discovered I started the return. I understand if a work shift or something had changed, but I still do not think that was the case. I think that he just did not want to help me because I wanted a refund. This company does not come across as fully transparent in my book.

Reply from ARLO SKYE

Hi Jessica, Thank you for taking the time to share this review. We take all feedback seriously, but in this case, we’ve asked Trustpilot to verify your name, email, and order number to confirm this was a genuine Arlo Skye customer experience. Unfortunately, we have not received any verification from you, which raises concerns about the authenticity of this review.

Arlo Skye has spent the past nine years building a reputation for thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and customer care. We’ve been named the #1 luggage brand by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards for two years in a row (2023–2024 and 2024–2025), as voted by over 500,000 travelers worldwide. Our products are designed by former TUMI and Louis Vuitton team members, and we source our materials and components from some of the finest suppliers in the world.

To clarify a few points:

Our returns portal is fully automated—customers can visit our website, generate a return label, and send their items back with no need for assistance. Both shipping and returns are free.

Refunds are typically processed within five business days after returned products are received at our warehouse, and refunds (presumably including yours) were processed accordingly.

When a customer contacts us over the weekend, our support team responds promptly on Monday, as our client experience team (comprised of real humans) takes a much needed break on Saturdays and Sundays. Our phone line operates during business hours, and voicemails are returned on the same business day.

All verified Arlo Skye customers receive a direct review request after purchase. In this case, no such review was submitted. Instead, an unverified review was posted here—on a platform that does not confirm identities—and no response was provided when verification was requested.

We believe it’s important to defend our team and our reputation, especially when a review cannot be verified and contains multiple inaccuracies. It’s unfair to any business—especially a independently owned small one—to be publicly criticized without the opportunity to properly investigate the issue.

For those exploring Arlo Skye for the first time, we encourage you to read the hundreds of verified customer reviews on our site—as well as independent editorial coverage in Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, AFAR, Forbes, TIME Magazine, Wallpaper*, Vogue, and more.

Sincerely,
The Arlo Skye Team
