Garbage, pure and utterly garbage! Started with a plan of 2.90/month, Went up after 1 year to 5£/month and now its 8£/month for less options I was paying my first year! Decided to cancel my plan and t😤 keep the camera, but then I realised the camera its completly usless without a plan! Do Not buy this expensive garbage cause its usless without a plan and the plans are so expensive for some basic thing you get with a 19.99£ dorbell that it has more free features than the basic plan of this Garbage
Arlo=thieves în a Armani Suit 🤦♂️

Do not buy! I purchased the ultra 2 cameras paid in total around £400. Did not work from the start. Connection issues to start, then battery draining within 1 week not 6 months as advertised. Made a complaint not even and they sent me out a refurbished camera casing no battery no charger nothing , was told to connect this one to see if it works, couldn't connect to smart hub. We done all troubleshooting required , was told they would escalate and pass onto engineers as nothing was working. Didn't hear back, when I rang for update they made me re do all troubleshooting methods as well as things only a trained professional would understand. Ive asked for a refund but it would need to be approved first, I've asked to have chargers sent out to solve battery issues and nothing. They want you to do their jobs for them and when you want to speak to someone higher up , you cant as it's all though email. Absolute joke and a rip off complete waste of time !!!

A service that went from £2.50 a month to £8 a year for a doorbell that I also bought is the biggest rip-off on the market. If the doorbell was free it would make sense but in this case you are just buying a product that you can't do anything with and you are at the mercy of Arlo.

At this point I’m just going to assume they have fired all their software testers.
Not the first time, another app update that breaks either the leave or return home automation. Leaving my home totally unprotected until I check later and realised it hasnt worked.
As i said, not the first time I have contacted or reviewed them about this.
Only writing this review in the hope some prospective customer reads it before they go all in on the very expensive kit and subscription. I have cancelled mine and have started to switch to the far cheaper and far better Ring.

I tried to buy some cameras from Arlo but the system said they do not deliver to Scotland. I called their support line for help but if you do not agree to the call being recorded you are put to the end of the queue.

My Video Doorbell alows me to see whats happening even when I'm not at home. Love that it also has a siren so I can scare off potential package thieves.

Following an update to the new Arlo Security App (iPhone) version 6.27.0 yesterday, my 3 Arlo Q Plus cameras all disappeared from the app following a reboot of the app. I have followed all the guidance to re add the cameras, but none of the methods work. When you try to raise a support ticket, you can't until you pay for a subscription.
Update: 19/05/2026 - Following the response from Arlo today, I did find my Home location to be defaulted to an area away from my actual home. I corrected this via the app, and changed my phone's WIFI connection to 2.4Ghz and successfully added all three of my cameras back onto the app. This home location information really should be front and centre to everyone updating the app to avoid the issues I experienced, however I am please Arlo reached out via Trust Pilot to assist me in restoring my cameras and system.

I've been using Arlo for several years and have older Pro and Pro2 models that work flawlessly. However, newer pro models and essential models have proved unreliable. I've had a support ticket open for months and it's not really going anywhere. Here's my final reply on the ticket to give you a flavour of the problems and my poor experience:
I don't see how sharing my phones app logs would help or even how to do that. The camera behaviour is irrelevant of which app or device I use. On top of that, the cameras continue to stop recording randomly, while some do not keep charge and a few lose connection even when close to the hub they're connected to. Happily though, the original Pro and Pro2 cameras remain faultless, unlike all the more modern cameras :(
I have now cancelled my Arlo subscription and will be selling all of my cameras, except for the Pro and Pro2 models, because they are not worth all this trouble and hassle. I've tried another brand and they just work, which is all I've ever wanted.
To add to that, the live view has always been slow and laggy, maybe 5 seconds behind.

I have now set up my new Arlo cameras. Wow, the picture quality is incredible very impressive. The setup was really simple and straightforward. The clarity of the cameras are phenomenal even when tracking. The look is sleek and the battery seems very good.
They Were a little bit more expensive than some of the other brands but immediately get them out the box you can tell why. They are quality product. Seems the story is true. You get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend it you will not be disappointed

Stop constantly increasing prices for long standing customers- fed up of negotiating with your company- maybe consider rewarding loyalty with reduced monthly payments?!

It’s gone from good to worst in matter of a year! Zero support from customer service! Have been trying to get in touch with them to get my doorbell working and have reached no where in the last one month with absolutely nowhere to go! No customer service number! Chat supper only a not working chatbot which is configured incorrectly! I pay almost 100 quid for a service which is appalling! Will cancel it soon and will make sure all my friends do the same too

After using my Arlo doorbell camera for the last year I'm very happy with it. Connects easily to the app which myself and my partner can both use on our phones meaning we never miss a delivery. It was so easy to install, the battery lasts a long time, and recharges quickly.

I have been an Arlo customer for several years across two different locations and I’m extremely satisfied. The image quality is excellent, the batteries last well (I use the solar panels), and the app is great. I subscribed to the plan to benefit from additional features, and considering the price, I definitely don’t regret it. I highly recommend it.

I've been using my Arlo cameras for more than a year now to monitor my apartment and I love the overall experience with the product and the app. Very precise and reliable system, super easy to use. There had been a burglary attempt in my building in 2024 one night, and I live alone, so I was looking for something to check my entrance door from the inside. We have even agreed with my neighbors to share an additional camera which is now placed in the stair landing and checks who arrives at our floor. The shared access to this new one was also very easy to set-up and customize to our needs.

Got an Arlo camera recently and it’s been solid so far. Setup was pretty straightforward and didn’t take long. The app is easy enough to use and the video quality is clear, even at night.
Main thing is it just works — I get alerts when I need them and haven’t had any issues. Makes me feel a bit more relaxed when I’m out or away for a few days. Overall, happy with it.

Camera feeds went - (Contract for for 9 units); camera "cloud" storage went. Just disappeared. Arlo had no idea why, could and WOULD not fix. Customer service was, as usual, terrible.
Do NOT buy ARLO products as they fail, service back up is terrible. If you want proper security - AVOID using ARLO.

Poor. Recording didn't work after years of recording so cancelled subscription. Tried signing up again to see if improved but forget password so done the forgotten password link. received the email. The long takes me to a page which asks for old password and a new password
Well if I knew the old password I would not have done all this

I would leave few stars if that were possible.
The base station simply does not connect. I have thirty years experience off this sort of set up with many companies and this is the worse by far. The equipment is new and is going to recycling now because EUFY make a better set up, for less money , and which has its own storage thus saving over £300 EVERY year over Arlo. Not the mention the EUFY system works straight away.
I have tried everything to get the ARLO bug to connect . They have NO SUPPORT unless you sign up for an expensive monthly plan.
To make matters worse when posted the same sort of review they went back via Trust Pilot to ask for me details and offered to contact me. They gave the same instructions that I already had (literally the definition of stupidity ) . And do course they have not ever contacted me. That is just a very cynical ploy to write to a bad review . I am shocked how bad they are. Things have moved on in this field and the EUFY are considerably better in every way. For example the EUFY wireless cameras connect directly so don;t need an expensive hub, have a longer range, better optics and very neatly have solar panel so they really are wireless and don’t need the battery replaced . EUFY are the ones to get . And most decidedly NOT ARLO .
