Student's Crituque

Student here, I'm not a fan of Aristotle. Number one: The filter is faulty as heck. It flagged a Wikipedia article on Nightshade(as in the AI poisoning program, not the plant) because it "sensed inappropriate content." But Number Two, you can access Blogclan and Unvale.io. I don't love it, but I'm glad I haven't got GoGuardian or Securly.

I absolutely loathe Aristotle as a…

I absolutely loathe Aristotle as a service. I can count the times it has worked, rather than the contrary. I, along with other teachers in my district, have been complaining about the lack of abilities this software has against what it claims to offer. I have worked in the software industry before, so I understand that bugs can occur regularly; however, the bugs are affecting the main functionality of the software. I have children who are able to open up new tabs while in testing mode (they're not actively monitored because it's saying they're not connected). My school has brand new Chromebooks and great internet connection. Additionally, I have had my students manually clear their cache and cookies to see if this can help with the connection, but it hasn't. It has been an uphill battle, and even with the help of our schools wonderful tech team, Aristotle is still falling short of all expectations. This is in addition to the horrible interface that is not intuitive. So, as a tech-savvy teacher, who has worked in the software industry in the past, I highly DO NOT recommend this software. I will be pushing for our district to try a competitor with better reviews when our contract is up. Note, while I was employed at a software company, I was not employed in a competing software company.
