New Store Card A Real Pain In The Argos!
I have had an Argos Card for many years since they sent me a new one in April this year (21) i have not been able to use it. Many Website errors!! I have phoned the Card Services who advised me that they cannot help me as there is no issue with the card or account. I Spoke with in Retail who simply stated "Cannot help with this issue" and "cannot place an order over the phone" Really, what is the point of having this service and a 'delivery service' you cannot use from home??

Terrible customer service with people working there and managers are no help just tell you to contact people higher up than them hahaha what's the manager's job then to sit there and hope no one looks in their direction what a complete mess of a company. The 1 and half stars well deserved. Purchased a PS5 controller today just issues all around with their undertrained staff. Find a different store most of what they have can be found elsewhere and without the hassle. Avoid
Worst delivery service provider
Absolutely horrible service.
Ordered a bed for my daughter, was waiting 2 weeks (been promised 5 working days) before called them first time, been told they will chase that up, someone should contact me in 48 hours, never happened. Contacted them again, same story, so in total 2as waiting more then 1 month, still no one was contacted me, so asked them to cancel the order and issue me the refund.
Been told should take up to 7 working days, waiting now 8 days allready, no refund. Contacted them again, been told same story" they will chase it up for me"
Most funniest part is what I had another order placed with them for wardrobe, promised day was supposed to be yesterday, again, no one came, no communication at all. Had to call them again.

Terrible customer service. They are unable to provide confirmed reserved items for in-store collection . Staff is unable to provide explanations and generally disinterested in helping. Phone assistance is stuck in endless music loop (gave up after 25 mins wait). Waste of time.
Excellent service in store
I walked by Argos store in Dun Laoghaire and I decided to pop in to see what microscope options they had and the customer service I received by Shelise was 5 starts service all the way, welcoming and helpful in a way I didn't expect in this type of concept store. I had just come out of a high end store and felt the same high standards at Argos
Terrible Service
I bought a treadmill through Argos for the convenience mainly as they said they would deliver it to my room of my choice and take away the old one,
I know they outsource the delivery of the items to another company but they would not bring the new treadmill to the room and they refused to take the old one
as it wasn't in the garden, it wasn't outside because they never rang me to arrange delivery which they were also meant to do.
I got onto Argos and they keep saying they will contact them to pick up the treadmill but its never happens, I have given up not after contacting then
around 6 times to arrange collection, im left with the treadmill in my hall for over 2 months now and ill have to pay for someone to take it away
which was the main reason I went with Argos in the first place. I used to use Argos quiet a bit but I will never buy anything from there again.

Chasing a bed frame for 3 weeks, called customer service who advised she could not help "because I'm in Ireland"? Manager refused to assist me in retrieving a refund and told me I have no choice but to wait 7 days for a search, even though I was told the same thing via email on 2 different occasions, the 2 previous weeks.

Reserved a PS5 for €499 for an 11 year old for XMAS & received a reservation number by both Text & Email, I took the day off work to collect & to travel 3hrs to collect but when I contacted the store (Castlebar) I was told they didn't have the item & due to an error would not be receiving one! Worst customer service I've ever experienced!

For the second time they made me look as a clown.
2 months ago I tried to buy a high demanded product, I have received an email confirming that I had a reservation, then I tried to call the store and nobody answered, then I went straight to the store and the lady said due to an error in their system it did not generate a reservation number. Ok, it's fine.
Then after a few attempts, with great efforts, I could get my reservation number and they gave me three days to collect it. Once again I tried call the store but the line was busy. For the second time I went to the store, on a Sunday morning, expecting to get the product. In this time, the lady said there was not this product in the stock (???). But she was expecting it in the next day (Monday).
So, I left early from my work before my class certainty I would get it, but again they said they received a msg from the head office saying this product had a delivery problem and it was unavailable. I asked for the manager and asked what she would recommend me to do and she just said I should try to get it again (!!!). I gently ask her to send me an email or even get my name in case it arrived and she said she couldn't. No way, I felt as a clown. For the third time I went to that far away store and again and again could not get the product.
The ironic thing is, meanwhile I had this conversation, a guy just got the product in front of me. Then I point it and ask the manager again and she said the lad was an early reservation!!! But how he can get it and I am not?? Her answer was system issue, that probably generate more reservation than the stock!!!
That is totally unfair!! Honestly, this store should treat better their customers!!

Its worse than you think
The same as everyone else reviewing this company at the moment, nothing seems to be in stock. Out of curiousity i browsed each category of the things they sell and picked an item at random to see if it was in stock for delivery and/or to collect. Out of the 50 random items only 5 were in stock. I tried random postcodes and found the same problem with stock ratio. I went into town recently and went past Argos store, no one was shopping in there - the store was empty of people except for 2 staff members looking bored. Before the pandemic things were going bad for argos, where they stopped holding things in stock, instead you would have to reserve the order online, have said order delivered to the store, then you were notified that it was then available to collect. How ridiculous! I remember as a kid, as a teenager and in the 20s, argos being busy at the weekends. Now its been completely empty for years. Theyre running the company into the ground. Even woolworths was in a better state at the time it closed down!
No more argos
Went in today to buy an iron, there was only one that I could collect now in Stephens green branch, cost 46 quid, first of all no plastic bags available,had to carry on shopping walking around other shops with an exposed box getting strange looks from security,then when I got home,there was no filler cup in box and no fast injection filler,then I walked into a shop 3 doors down from argos and the same iron there for 34 quid, including plastic bag and everything in box that's supposed to be, I always used argos for convenience but xmas shopping will be done elsewhere
Ridiculous
Been in store and online several times over the past 3 months, yet nothing I have wanted from the catalogue has been in stock! The one thing that was in stock was broken. Every single thing my son circled for Xmas is also out of stock. Its disgusting that they distribute catalogues without the resources to ensure kids aren't left disappointed.

OOS: I have been waiting months
I have been waiting for months and months for a table to come back in stock. It's ridiculous how they can list an item that is not in stock for this long. They should take these items out of the catalogue - saying that with the amount of out of stocks the catalogue would be half the size. I am now going to shop elsewhere. This is not the first item I have waited to become available. I know there are issues everywhere at the moment but Argos is the worst. The table make is Habitat, so Argos will take them down with them!

Nothing in stock. This is not just a recent thing, for the last 4 years I’ve tried to buy things from Argos and they never have much in stock. Boycott them until they start stocking the items they advertise.

For some reason Argos will not deliver large items to places like Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire. At a time when so many people want to buy on-line, this is a strange policy. Must be something to do with the Sainsbury takeover.
