I do not recommend.

Purchased some alpaca bed socks on December which were great at first. But within 2 months holes had started to appear despite only ever briefly walking upstairs on carpet. These socks both now have huge holes in them and are almost falling apart.

When I raised the issue with arbon their response was very disappointing:
"Sorry to hear that... I wear these socks and find them hard wearing enough"
I was then reminded of the delivery and returns information:
"I cannot accept claims for socks that have worn out more quickly than anticipated as the reasons for this are outside of my control. I do send out darning yarn free of charge if your socks have started to wear a bit thin."

I appreciate harsh usage is beyond their control but I expect even a cheap pair of socks to be able to cope with basic usage without perishing within 3 months.

My favourite socks are the alpaca stripy pair but I immediately lost these to my daughter and the Somerset contrast are almost as soft. Another daughter was gifted the damson loose top Somerset & loves them. I was contacted about one colour way in my order coming up larger and did I want to continue - good service & delivery very swift. I am trying to buy British after reading Patrick Grant’s book Less but socks from Noctu & British Boxers have disappointed (their clothing ranges are excellent however). I will reorder.

Their Exmoor sock is the only sock I wear day in and day out and have been doing so for the last five years now, I think. i can wear them for about five days at a time when normally I change my socks everyday. I live in the UK but at this moment I am in Hong Kong in sub tropical heat and yesterday did a big hike in the hills of the country park near sai kung and the socks were amazing even in 35C. so much so i thought I must write a review to say how much i appreciate this sock! Not something I normally do. So thanks and please making the Exmoor sock:)

I cannot recommend Arbon Socks highly enough!
Fantastic quality and incredible service!

Just bought some of their Fairisle Frome socks, they are amazing. Woollen socks, perfect for inside boots or with Birkenstock sandals. Great service, i ordered them and then as they are local nipped by thier physical shop to pick them up in a very COVID safe way.
