Aqua is consistently a fabulous dining…
Aqua is consistently a fabulous dining experience. The food is always very good, Carlos and his team treat you so well!! It is a very elegant and glamorous experience, we recommend their beautifully cooked steaks, Seafood linguine and the cocktails, of course!
I would like to know how they made…
I would like to know how they made their tropical fruit salad. I would think it was a tin of fruit cocktail from a supermarket. Would like an answer!
Disappointingly poor quality food
Disappointingly poor quality food - ‘fresh’ out of the microwave. No flavour. Cheap ingredients. Worst excuse for a pizza ever. Staff are always friendly though & good. The decor cheap & tacky looking. A real shame as the site is good & could have housed a positive addition to Whiteladies.
Pathetic experience and hospitality from the staff leading to harassment
Most pathetic experience at Aqua bar and grill Pettswood and awful staff who possibly did not like us
My husband and friends had planned a surprise birthday for me at the restaurant clearly mentioning nibbles and drinks only. The staff was not happy apparently and made awkward comments and were constantly staring and passing comments at us. They repeatedly kept asking if we wanted to order and if we were done eating!
The entire restaurant was empty and it was just the 5 of us on a pre booked table when the waiter asked us to leave promptly as they expected the table to be ready for others!
It was a birthday celebration and the waiters made it so bad for us that we had to leaned and spent the rest of the evening in another pub.
Will definitely not recommend this place to anyone
Food was below average as well
All in all the worst experience
Great value - delicious food
I've just been to the Aqua Brasserie in Whiteladies Road, Clifton; had a table outside on the sun terrace which was delightfully relaxing. This is a stylish place to eat and drink so it was a nice surprise to see the set menu at just £17.50 for two courses or £20.50 for three. I chose the crispy and tender, fried calamari to start with and then had the perfectly grilled, delicious seabass - all amazing value. The service is excellent too, given by a team of smiling, very professional staff. All thoroughly recommended.
Honest and friendly staff
Not only is Aqua, Portishead the best place for food, drink and service, but also their staff are extremely friendly and very honest. I was drinking Provence Rose and had taken a sip out of the glass when Arun one of the waiters came up up me and advised me that the wrong Rose had been served to me by accident. I hadn't realised at the time. He gave me two options to either stay with the Pinot Grigio which was cheaper and ok, or to change it to my original preferred choice. I decided to change to the Provence Rose which is more expensive and I am pleased I did because the Rose is very delicious and smooth on the palate. Thank you for your honesty :)
SUPERB LUNCH.Aqua at Portishead is a real family…
Aqua at Portishead is a real family favourite and I would like to emphasise the word "family ", because children ( and well behaved dogs" are genuinely welcomed. Let's start with the food because this subject is very close to my heart. It would be very difficult for a customer NOT to find something they fancy. Pizzas, pastas, fish, meat, veggie...! They are also conscious of portion size and offer " small plates ". This is good for the customer who is not overewhelmed, and keeps the chef sweet by not seeing half eaten food returned to the kitchen. The ambience is superb in all weather conditions in that they have a cosy indoor restaurant ( no pets) and a lovely covered and heated outdoor area( pets OK here). The wine list will not break the bank, and most are offered by the glass or carafe if required.
Beer/ lager drinkers will not be left out either. The cutlery and CLOTH napkins are always clean and the glassware sparkles.vonpiryantly, the loos are always in perfect order. Over all our visits, we have never encountered poor service, or unacceptable food quality. I am an ex Hotel and Food Inspector so I know when the Management are getting things right. Our visit today was made even better by our Table Waitress Asia who was attentive to our adult needs and those of our grand-children. Thank-you.
Best restaurant in Bristol!
Absolutely amazing restaurant! A meal at Aqua never disappoints! My local is the Aqua on Whiteladies road in Bristol. It is fantastic. The decor is great and the setting is relaxing! The food is DELICIOUS. The Head chef Jamie Edwards is brilliant in all he does. The service team are outstanding also! I would recommend to anyone.
Aqua Portishead
We had a wonderful lunch today at Aqua in Portishead to celebrate a birthday. What a lovely surprise to receive a drink and a dessert with a special message on the plate! A special thank you to Daisy for her friendly and efficient service at our table.
Bristol Welshback very tasty food
Aqua Restaurant Welshback Bristol was surprisingly quiet on the weekend we went there but it was brilliant.
The lady who served us (I think had a French accent?) was really friendly and checked in the right amount with us.
Food was amazing, got a nice table tucked away in the corner so was private, and if we needed anything they would’ve been on hand.
If you have a big appetite try out the ‘Crispy fried chicken wings, chipotle & maple glaze’, there was plenty to eat and tasted brilliant.
Great experience
Great atmosphere and the service was fantastic. Francesco our waiter was extremely friendly. The food was great; we had the 3 courses meal with wine pairing. I would recommend anyone visiting London to enjoy the great views and location.
I was manhandled by staff when walking…
I was manhandled by staff when walking accidentally into a private party. No sign and no person present to state private party. When I complained to the restaurant manager, I was told the cctv shows myself being guided out. I felt they tried to sweep the matter under the carpet and told me that I was lying. Also I felt this French waiter would not have pushed me had I been white. There are so many better places to go in London, where the service is good. I would give this place a miss. Rude behavior from the staff, you do not need to touch paying customers that are fully corperating. The manageress just wanted to look after her staff rather than reprimand her staff. Very disappointed with the staff and the manageress.i was pushed so hard on my back , my heels did not touch the ground, i told my mate as soon as i got bavk to my seat. The managers failed to address a) no sign stating private party, b) no person/ waiter at the entrance of private party, c) pushed so hard my heels did not touch the ground, d) additional complaint is, being accused of lying, try to state that my recollection may vary after a couple of days. There arecso many other places to go and get a far better service and night out. Do yourself a favour do not go here.

Honestly the best steak dinner and general all round service that I have experienced for some time! Every member of the team there was exceptional. Going out of their way to make the best evening. Outstanding food, cocktails and staff. Cannot recommend highly enough!

AQUA restaurant in Portishead is where we decided to go to celebrate my birthday today.
I am happy to say I had the best time ever.
The food was delicious, and I was surprised to have a special treat ,in the way of a dessert with a Happy Birthday msg written on the plate. Thankyou so much to all concerned. Really made my day
Lunch with friends
I went with five friends for lunch today. We all had Christmas Turkey for main and either Sticky Toffee Pudding, Christmas Pudding or Vegan Ice Cream for dessert. Plenty of everything, the turkey was lovely with lots of seasonal vegetables. The service was very good and a warm welcome awaited from Beth on arrival. Thank you to all the staff. Stephen Wey
Wedding Celebrations at Aqua
We had the best time at Aqua last night
Fabulous service with a smile and delicious food
A great reception venue for Nick and Lisa’s wedding
We will be back !!
Rubbish
Been to the restaurant before and it’s been great, but not last night. Absolutely the worst experience in a restaurant. We waited about 20 minutes for a menu, apparently they didn’t have enough to go round and the restaurant wasn’t even full. Finally managed to place our order and get our first round of drinks after being there for about 40 minutes. The starters came up and was very nice, the mains not so. Our order had been forgotten, so we had to wait a very long time to finally get our main meals, which weren’t very nice.
The new manager is an absolute idiot who has no idea and is very rude. Definitely wouldn’t go back, even if the waste of space manager apologised.
Welshback, Bristol Sat 16th April
Wow! Spectacular. We shared the Tomahawk steak and it was out of this world. Great service, great environment and we would go back to Bristol just for this restaurant. Well done.
Sunday lunch …
Just came back from a lovely Sunday lunch at Aqua Welshback in Bristol. Really nice food and super friendly staff. Ann Marie was especially good. Recommended.
Highly recommended, Italianate …
This place was recommended and we took that recommendation as it was our first trip to Bath. We went for an early dinner and were pleasantly surprised at how busy it was and the warm atmosphere already generated.
The decor and overall presentation was ‘Italianate’ and superb.
We were greeted and shown to our table, where we were served by Poppy who was so polite, attentive and efficient. It was real ‘old style’ in that way but with a speed and efficiency that is rare these days.
The menu was simple but quite extensive and covered most needs.
The service was impeccable and the prices belied the level of that service.
We will be sure to visit again when we return to Bath - it was an immensely satisfying experience.
