I have been an Appsumo customer since at least 2017 if not earlier. Appsumo has saved me thousands of dollars in monthly subscription fees. Only two companies have decided to no longer update their product. I believe that is a part of buying products from start-up companies which allows you an opportunity to even get the lifetime deal. I love AppSumo!

Awful experience with this company. They take your money but the products don't last.

The customer service is awful and they simply don't care. Avoid at all costs.

I bought a lifetime deal in Sessions for around 1000$, the app just stopped working and dissapeared, they take 0 responsability for this, after writing several mails they offered me a 10$ coupon discount.

Disrespectful to say the least, in my experience Appsumo is something that you just can't trust, they will take your money and then you are done, you will get nothing in return, there is much better options in the market so just look around a bit more

I purchased a lifetime deal for a product (Sellix) directly through AppSumo. The product is now unusable, yet AppSumo refuses to refund despite the fact that the product was sold on their marketplace and they keep up to 70% of every sale.

AppSumo profits heavily from these deals, but when a product vanishes or fails, they take zero responsibility. They hide behind their own terms specifically made because situations like this happen often, as you can see from other reviews.

If you're buying on AppSumo, be noted that if the product disappears, you're on your own.

This is not just bad customer service — it's a broken business model where AppSumo takes the money and leaves customers to deal with the fallout.

Avoid buying “lifetime” deals from AppSumo unless you’re prepared to invest time and money in something that can disappear at any time.

I bought a life time subscription by AppSumo. Exactly steps followed provided. After 2 years and 2 months once started building academy I was notified about renewal. Despite providing all evidences 0 support. Don't work hard building subscribers. It's a solo business you will never get up to mark support and will face issues by your subscribers. Chose some alternative but at least you can trust

Bought my first product and it had an issue. Requested a refund, and the AppSumo support team processed it within an hour. Very easy process. Not their fault the vendor had a bad software. Now I will buy another one to test.

I have purchased 214 deals through AppSumo over many years.

Since the late 2000s (2005 onward), I have used many SaaS software resellers up until 2011, but eventually consolidated to just one site—AppSumo.

Appsumo is easy to use and offers unbeatable value for money, strong support, exclusive member offers, a no-questions-asked 60-day refund policy, an active discussion community, a wide range of deals, and a convenient client purchase history and lookup on the back end. Above all, their sheer buying power and ability to keep everything with one provider adds to the simplicity.

As a paid annual member—"AppSumo Plus"—I find it worthwhile. Not only is there a strong community and member discounts, but as many have mentioned, buying SaaS software on a lifetime deal always involves some speculation—you win some, you lose some. Some deals have always reached a fair resolution through Appsumo, but buyer protection here on Appsumo goes above and beyond what other providers offer and I appreciate being a reseller is no easy game, often people shoot the messenger as a result.

No other company offers a no-questions-asked refund within 60 days after fully trialing the software PLUS Additionally, the “We Have Your Back” arrangement for paid members adds another layer of support. To my knowledge, no other companies offer this. The support is also second to none; Dylan has been amazing in handling queries that I have thrown at support. There is a personal touch in the emails and in how issues are addressed, which, in 2025, sets AppSumo apart from many companies that rely on chatbots giving generic responses as customer service.

All things considered, I can confidently recommend AppSumo and team.

I am a longtime customer of Appsumo. And I I see myself as an investor in ideas I can resonate with. Do all of them turn out the optimal way. No. But I am so happy with the experience that most of my investments turned out to become stars. And Now I have a whole range of insanely good apps for an unspeakably good price.

Entered an email address in a checkout field but never actually completed a sale. AppSumo started sending knowingly unlawful unsolicited commercial emails without consent of any kind. If AppSumo is so cavalier about privacy laws, what other laws are they ignoring?

It’s honestly disappointing how many so-called ‘lifetime deals’ purchased on AppSumo from around 2020 onward have either shut down, pivoted completely, or stopped honoring their original offers. ‘Lifetime’ increasingly seems to mean ‘until the startup runs out of money or changes direction.’ It’s frustrating to invest early in good faith, only to see tools vanish a few years later without any real accountability. AppSumo seriously needs to rethink how it vets partners or offer better buyer protection. Otherwise, the value proposition of these deals is becoming more and more questionable.

I’ve been an AppSumo user since 2019, and I keep coming back not just for the amazing lifetime deals, but also for the excellent customer service. Every time I’ve needed help—whether it’s with a refund, redemption issue, or product question—their support team has been responsive, friendly, and really easy to work with. It’s rare to find that kind of consistency these days. Highly recommend!

In general my experience of SaaS companies support teams are steadily improving across the board. But Appsumo support is setting the bar at the max.
In my experience over many years oof Appsumo membership is that their support is consistently fast, friendly and efficient.

You can count on this company! I've always had great experience with AppSumo. They showcase great products. Their refund policy is unmatched anywhere I've seen. You can feel confident in purchase apps from them. I've been a customer for 6 years.

App SUMO has the best customer service ice on the PLANET!! I had a very complicated problem with a product I purchased from them in 2022, the app sumo customer service team worked on the issue for several days and got it resolved in my favor!!!

I had a problem about license key, it was resolved quickly. Good job!
