I have been a contractor with ShyftOff since 2022, and unfortunately, I’ve seen a noticeable decline in overall support, job quality, and available hours over time. Earlier on, communication and opportunities felt more consistent. However, in recent years, hours have significantly decreased, and support has not been as responsive or reliable.
Throughout my time with the company, I have been removed and reinstated in the same position approximately four or five times. Most recently, I was removed again without explanation. While the lack of communication is concerning, it ultimately did not make a significant difference because there were little to no hours available anyway.
My experience with ShyftOff has reinforced the importance of maintaining multiple streams of income when working as an independent contractor. Loyalty does not appear to be reciprocated, and stability has been inconsistent.
I hope the company takes steps to improve transparency, contractor communication, and overall job availability moving forward.
