Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unhelpful and difficult to reach a real person. They also encountered issues with their subscriptions, such as unexpected plan changes, inability to use paid services, and unclear billing. Customers frequently report problems with service limitations, including restrictive usage caps and interruptions that hinder productivity. Some people were dissatisfied with the artificial intelligence, noting that it often provides inaccurate information, requires constant corrections, and has become less creatively usable due to increased limitations. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that the AI was good for specific tasks like coding, legal drafting, and analysis, and found it to be consistent and reliable for their professional needs.

A Horrific Experience

A Horrific Experience — Not Fit for Any Enterprise

We approached Anthropic’s Claude with the seriousness of real operators — presenting our business, our verticals, and our creative vision with clarity and documentation. Instead of engaging as a partner, it deflected, gaslit, and derailed. At one point it even accused us of instability simply for building bold frameworks. Could you imagine walking into a venture office and being told to “see a psychiatrist” instead of discussing strategy? That is exactly the level of absurdity we encountered here.

On the technical side, it routinely misfired. When asked for a casting call and a movie poster concept, it inexplicably returned raw HTML/CSS code instead of usable output. In marketing, real estate, venture, or cinematic production, these missteps are fatal.

The product is completely misaligned for anyone in serious business. Whether in marketing, sales, real estate, wellness, or capital markets, this system is not just unhelpful — it is disruptive in the worst way. Had I come to Trustpilot first, I would have saved myself this horrific experience.

We consider our subscription a sunk cost, and that’s fine — but moving forward, I highly caution others: if you are an entrepreneur, operator, or studio builder, avoid this product entirely.

Always great quality

Always great quality, found Claude quite early before it's massive rise & always been satisfied. The pricing on the plans, not API is great for everything plenty of use. API seems super expensive but haven't had a reason to use it.

Stay away! Fraudsters company

I am absolutely disappointed with Anthropic. Their support is just chatbots and AI – there is no real human to help you. As a result, my issue is not being handled at all. Due to an error in their payment form, I accidentally signed up for an annual subscription instead of a monthly one and lost €90. Despite multiple requests, you only get automated responses, but no real support or refund. In my opinion, these are fake companies using AI to take users’ money, and there is nothing you can do – not even the authorities intervene.

Changed service a few hours after I subscribed.

I was testing a prediction prompt for a week now on their free software and decided to subscribe, to support them. Within hours of subscription they stopped me from testing.
If they don't resond in the next 24 hours, I'm going to ask visa to return my money because they changed the service after sale.

Bad comment? Yes, but so well deserved!

Sorry for this bad comment guys, but you honestly deserve it ;)

Since 3 days, I reach the usage limit at an unprecedent fast pace.... Like, I could ususally work on a project development (coding) for 8, 10 or 12 hours/day without barely never reaching the usage limit. But since 3 days, I reach the limit after less than 2 hours of work... !!

So no problem! I reach out the support team.... And guess what?? NOT A SINGLE REPLY IN 3 DAYS!!!! It's a fuck1ng joke!!!!!

UX made me pay for a year and no refund given

I wanted to subscribe for a month. The payment page selects annual by default with a monthly price. Then i select Month and fill out details. After proceed payment the page gets reloaded with an form field error. Then i click proceed payment again and before I know it i paid for a whole year.

After contacting support they tell me they are unable to midyear downgrade. Not even acknowledging this user-experience and its flaws.

I will never recommend doing business with this scammy company.

Absolute scam of a company

Absolute scam of a company. They are severely under resourced so rather than stop taking on new customers they severely limit what you can do. They reduce your limits so you max out after just a few messages. They refuse to issue refunds when you take issue with this and they seem to ignore the laws of the countries in which they operate which grant you rights of a refund if the service is materially downgraded. Don’t pay this company any money.

I bought a license which was never sent to my email. I contacted customer support and they’ve been ghosting me. Give open 3 tickets note for the same issue but keep getting ghosted.
I paid over 100$ for this software. It’s great software but the customer support is so poor. These guys have ghosted me for a week now. It’s unfair… please if you value your money time and peace of mind, DO NOT BUY THIS. There’re other softwares that value their customers

Worst Customer Experience ever

I'm not going to review their product. It is sometimes good, sometimes bad. They are working on it. However I am going to review their customer support. They are drowning in money invested by Amazon and other venture capitals (VC) but they don't care about their customers. Support? Non existent. You can use their chat tool called "Fin" and two business days later someone will reply to you with a typical template message (approved by their PR/legal team). They will acknowledge whatever you want, they will compassionate you and nothing will change.

Community? Non existent. There's a /r/ClaudeAI and /r/Anthropic but there's no community manager there, not even a single representative. There's also Discord server but there's no support. You can post a thread on Discord in Feedback or Get-Help channel but no one will answer for weeks and months. When you tag them - they will mute you or ban you. This is how the VC money is being burned. Maybe Devs are doing something but support? Don't bother to even expect anything.
I have a feeling that none of the managers of Anthropic employees on Discord server knowing what their subordinates doing. That's another problem of Anthropic...

Reddit community is divided into two major groups:
1. Vibe coders that either love or hate the product
2. Real engineers that try to work their things out
There's also a group of people that will troll and provide no valuable feedback.

Long story short when the product is good - they praise it on Reddit. When it has problems - they complain and hate it.
But the real problem is the ZERO customer relations management. It's funny cause they can hire two support guys for the salary of one developer. Instead they choose the dev. Maybe it's what they want? I don't know. But the reputation of Anthropic is a complete manure. And it's entirely their fault. No wonder why the rating here is 1.5 as of writing of this review and I won't be surprised to see it going down if nothing is going to change in this matter.

I've used Claude for a few months now…

I've used Claude for a few months now and found it extremely helpful for coding and app development. It was reliable, responsive, and provided solid assistance with logic and code generation. That was until recently, when my usage limits were suddenly slashed without warning.

I used to get 2–3 hours per session, now I’m being cut off in under 20 minutes—even on weekends or during off-peak hours. When I reached out, I was told it’s due to “dynamic usage limits” based on system load. But that excuse doesn’t hold up when the restrictions happen regardless of time or day, and my usage hasn’t changed.

It’s clear this is just a thinly veiled tactic to push users toward their much more expensive plan (which costs 4x more). If there's a tiered model, be upfront about it—don’t pretend it's about system load when it's obviously about monetization.

Worse, I’ve noticed the AI will repeat the same response multiple times or provide incorrect answers to simple follow-ups, which burns through your quota faster. It feels like a deliberate attempt to drain usage and get you to hit your cap sooner. That’s deceptive and unacceptable.

Claude is great for coding when it works, but if you rely on it consistently, prepare to be throttled hard unless you pay a steep premium. I expected more transparency and respect from a company like Anthropic. Disappointed.

Update: It is getting dumber. I uploaded a file and it told me to find code that does not exist in that file and change it. I still think they purposely make it dumb and waste your limits so you buy the top tier.

Probably against European law: Banning accounts without warnings and reasons

The service itself was good, but then they started mass-ban accounts without any reason. They even did not warn about it. There was no way to get the account back (they just got a appeal form, but they deny it when filled out without reasoning). The support is not responding in any way, except of automated bot replies. Maybe it is even a case for the EU Digital Market Acts. Looks like they ban privacy-features like Apple‘s Private-Relay.

Truly Awful Customer Service

Absolutely terrible customer service, and let's remember is worth **$62 billion dollars**. Won't offer compensation for downtime on their product, not even for customers on the highest tier of $200/mth.

Oh and don't buy credits for the Claude Console because those aren't transferrable, refundable and probably expire within 12 months if not used.

Absolute joke of a customer service for a brand of this size, I would love to have cancelled but unfortunately Claude Code is epic.

I chatted with Claude 4 Sonnet today…

I chatted with Claude 4 Sonnet today from 6pm to 7pm and I was told by its interface that my quota would be exceeded soon. And it would resume by 11pm. I didn't chat with Claude the whole day and was chatting with Microsoft Copilot which is free. I only sent 2 files to Claude and did not even ask it to write any code cause I was trying to migrate my stuff from my laptop to my desktop. That 1 hour of questions of how to migrate cost me 1 million tokens? There is simply no way. And that AI customer service refused to investigate and kept telling me to upgrade my plan which is a Claude pro for a single person for a year. Our conversation were cut off abruptly and I can no longer talk to that AI customer service. On the top of this failed customer service, Claude 4 has also encountered a lot of server side errors and other problems lately. If I were not subscribed to it for a year, I would have terminated the contract immediately.

Disappointing support – would not recommend

I've tried reaching out to Anthropic multiple times for help with an issue, and they simply never respond. It's incredibly unprofessional when you're paying for a supposedly pro AI tool. If customer service matters to you, I'd suggest avoiding Claude.ai.

I have a problem with one model, he hasn't replied to me for a few days, although I wrote many emails, as if I wrote two emails, one email from the email address I have a subscription to and the other This is your email, I don't have a subscription, where I don't have a subscription, I got a reply from someone with those four hours, and there I have a subscription, I'm waiting for the third day

Worst Customer Service EVER!

The AI service itself is pretty good. But Claude's (Anthropic's) customer service is TERRIBLE! I don't think they even have a department; it's just occasional, totally unhelpful bot replies.
I've needed to cancel my subscription and for the past few weeks I only receive cryptic e-mails to the effect that, "We are working on your request." Meanwhile, they keep charging me.
IF you are considering subscribing, I suggest you use a gift card rather than a credit card. Who knows when I'll ever get them to turn off the auto-pay. I'm disputing the most recent charge with CC company now.

Is not a trustable company, tried to pay subscription using my debitcard, but their payment system is not secure, finally a "failed payment" message is the only answer from Claude, tried to open a case but after 4 days, no answer or escalation of the case happened.

After a great experience using their…

After a great experience using their free service, I signed up for their Pro level account. After having upgraded, I was unable to actually use the paid service, even after receiving multiple detailed directions from their ai assistant. Nothing that was suggested worked. I was then told I would be contacted by a human. This was several days ago and no one has contacted me. I also tried contacting them via their support email with the same result. No response from anyone. No indication that a ticket has been opened. Were it not for their amazing Claude coding assistant I would think this entire company is a money making scam. Hoping to eventually hear from someone in which case I will update this review.

A complete rip off - Claude Max plan

I am on the Claude Max plan. I have made a project called Multi-Display Helper

I have uploaded project knowledge.

I started a thread that has now reached its limit (which is not the issue):

I asked Claude if I could save the conversation and put it into the Project Knowledge section of my project and would Claude be able to reference it? The answer came back as no, it can't.

So, I opened a new chat, outside of my project and asked the same question to get a completely different answer.

When I went back to the chat,

Claude, who is operating within my project, thinks that it cannot see project information. Claude, outside of my project, believes that it can.

So Claude asked me to test, which I did, and it confirmed that it cannot see my project knowledge, which means I've got no continuity within that project between any of my conversations.

Considering I am on the max plan and find that all my work is now pretty much useless has left me beyond frustrated. I am even more frustrated that I cannot get in touch with anyone from Anthropic to sort this out.
