I really enjoyed this course

I really enjoyed this course. I have taken other birthing work courses in the past and this was the best laid out course I’ve taken. I loved how the class had case studies within the units to help reinforce the ideas that were taught. I also loved how the information was presented in a way that had a lot of knowledge behind it but was easy to digest and easy to understand. I feel way more confident in being able to help postpartum parents who are feeling overwhelmed help not only their babies but themselves during this stage of life. I cannot wait to take more courses!

Clear, High-Quality, and Inspiring

I found the learning materials and content to be high-quality, well-structured, and engaging.
One of my biggest light-bulb moments was realizing how practical and immediately applicable some of the strategies are—I feel a real shift in confidence and understanding since starting the course. Concepts that once felt abstract are now concrete.
Overall, this course has positively influenced my practice and given me tools I feel confident using. It has also sparked ideas for future projects and professional growth, giving me a sense of direction and inspiration moving forward.

Early Years Mental Health

I’ve really enjoyed this training! The content was high-quality, evidence-based and delivered in a clear, well-structured way that made it easy to follow. I’ve definitely had a few “light-bulb” moments along the way, and I feel much more confident and informed in my understanding of early years mental health.

The platform was simple to navigate, and being able to work through the material at my own pace made such a difference. My only small piece of feedback would be that it would be great to have the option of a dark-mode (black background with white text), as I completed a lot of my learning in the evenings and that would have helped with comfort and eye strain.

Overall though, a fantastic course - highly recommended!

Forest Bathing

I enrolled to the “Forest Bathing for babies” course. I enjoyed studying the material, in fact I was looking forward to go home after work to progress in the module. The colour scheme of the page layout, the photos, sometimes vibrant, sometimes muted(depending on topic) made it a pleasure to look at the material and learn.
I finished the course and I am inspired now, and I am planning in the new year to attempt to organise and run small groups of parents with babies in forest bathing activities!

Great course

Really enjoyed the course material, there was a lots of information given that was relevant and thought provoking. The instructor taught in a way that made it understandable and enjoyable, and there are many things I'll be taking away with me to put into practice in my own teaching!

what a great course informed research is!

I completed the informed research course. it was funded which helped as i am still learning while on mat leave. The course was informative and helpful and with the added workbook and resource pack in with the course, any antenatal educator will be able to add the aspects of the course into their teaching. All learning is research based with evidence that backs it up to help you if a parent asks where you have got your findings from. It also gives you some activity ideas in so when teaching you can add these in and feel fully prepared for teaching that segment of your course.

Great basis knowledge for informed consent

Great course split into many units so its easy to complete in small chunks. No previous knowledge is required and has a good overview on the importance of informed consent, NHS culture, importance of Antenatal Educators and how to analyse research to ensure it is credible to share with mothers.

Vital info for supporting new parents gained!

I am always a bit reluctant to partake in 'free' courses due to having completed some before which ended up being pretty pants, but the description of the Partners Matter course really sounding interesting and useful, so I went for it!
I'm really pleased that I did - the content was really in depth and helpful and the recorded masterclass in particular gave me lots of ideas for use within my own classes with dads present. I really feel that the knowledge I've gained will go on to help the families that I support through my work in my local community.

I had a few technical challenges along the way, but these were dealt with quickly. My only criticism would be that I was not expecting to have to submit a video reflective account! But that is mostly because I really dislike being on camera.

Overall, I enjoyed this course and know that I have gained vital knowledge to help me support parents in the best way that I can. Thank you Lizzie for offering this as a funded masterclass, as I would not have been able to access the training otherwise.

One of the strongest messages from this…Improving maternity care for All

One of the strongest messages from this course was the importance of becoming an active ally. It isn’t enough to say we support vulnerable communities—we need to demonstrate it. That means listening, learning, speaking up, and questioning practices that exclude or disadvantage certain groups. This course has not only expanded my knowledge, but also confirmed why this work matters so deeply. I’m grateful for all the learning it offered.

The information given is comprehensive…

The information given is comprehensive and easy to understand. As I came from conservative and traditional family background where the mother is always the main carer in taking care of the child, I learned and understand the important role of father and husband/partner in building up a healthy family.

I enjoyed the content of this course

I enjoyed the content of this course. It was great to have an opportunity to continue to explore the topic of infant mental health and brain development and build on my existing knowledge. I particularly liked the resources which helped to break down some of the parent education aspects such as understanding baby’s emotions and infant behaviour which included strategies and techniques. I felt at times it was hard to engage in the course due to the large amount of reading and how I personally learn, so felt it could be more interactive/engaging. Overall the content was informative and I have learned from the course.

Although initially not what I had envisioned in terms of course content, I found the course extremely eye opening and informative. I am currently training as a doula and will be taking this learning with me into this new venture. Lizzie was a great speaker and gave insight in to make topics, including relevance of current affairs in the news.
