Alan listened carefully to my experiences with hearing loss and what I liked and didn’t like about previous experiences with audiologists over the past 16 years or so. He explained everything clearly and in an unhurried fashion, so that I felt completely relaxed and confident I was being treated as an individual. Alan’s skills, experience and depth of knowledge are way beyond most in the profession and would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone struggling with hearing loss and/or tinnitus.

I’ve been supported by Alan at Amplitude for some months now and he is very friendly, knowledgeable, highly approachable and professional. I wanted to investigate options for private hearing aids and after some discussions, thorough checks and tests Alan provided me with the latest Oticon in-ear model to try with no obligation. Over the trial period I had a number of appointments with Alan where he fine-tuned the aids to my specific hearing issues. His approach was very holistic, taking account of my lifestyle, needs and preferences. There was certainly no hard-sell and it was made clear that I could walk away and use a different provider at any time but Alan is obviously an expert in his field and there was no question of this for me. Alan’s attention to detail and approach to ensure the best outcome is achieved is exemplary. He is a fine audiologist with superb knowledge and understanding and amongst the myriad of services out there it was a relief to have found a provider with such expertise, openness, honesty and integrity. If you’re looking for help with any aspect of your hearing then look no further!

Conor is an absolute legend, super friendly and helpful service. Made me feel welcome and kept in contact following a fitting for some ACS Earplugs, highly recommend.

Conor was very helpful and attentive to my needs. I was looking for ACS earplugs. As part of the preparation I also had a very thorough de-wax and hearing test for a competitive price.

Alan impresses immediately with a friendly manner (he’s a Northerner) allied to considerable expertise (he’s a PhD and lectures at Brighton University) and a practical and thorough approach. Consultations are meticulous and do not finish till Alan has fully diagnosed and treated the hearing issue. There is no hard sell - Alan wants to be sure he has solved a problem, not racked up a sale.

Conor got me sorted with some custom hearing protection for live music incredibly quickly and was extremely helpful, knowledgable and overall a great guy. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something similar or anyone with concerns or questions about their hearing. Thank you Conor!

A friendly but highly professional experience. All procedures explained thoroughly with results and recommendations talked through in an easy to understand manner.

Alan from amplitude has changed my fathers life. The care knowledge attention to detail thoroughness technical ability was absolutely outstanding. He even adapted the testing to my fathers arthritic hands. I visited Alan at Amplitude Hearing as I had been suffering with tinnitus and was worried about the impact this was having to my mental health along with any possible hearing loss. The session was massively helpful and was very reassuring, Alan was able to explain what was happening from a medical perspective and also psychological. I had a hearing test and was able to better understand why I was experiencing some of the issues. Alan is very professional and gave a lot of context and insight into what was happening and how I could better manage tinnitus. The session has made a significant difference and I couldn’t recommend Alan more!!

I went to Amplitude Hearing on the recommendation of a friend who is a retired GP. The first reason I needed help was that I would regularly get ear infections when swimming abroad on holiday.
Conor gave my ears a very thorough clean out and testing session and took an internal cast of my ears to have custom swim plugs made.
Also, as a musician, I have to protect my hearing, which can be damaged under certain conditions. Conor was able to advise and provide custom earplugs, which filter out damaging noise, whilst still allowing me to function and hear what I need to.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this exemplary and friendly service.

I’ve seen Conor twice and definitely recommend him. He is professional and thorough. He is always very responsive and accommodating when I’ve needed an appointment as he understands how upsetting it is when struggling to hear/ pop my ears. The first time I had a wax build up and he removed it well, the second time I thought I had wax but I actually had an inner ear infection - Conor showed me the photos of my ear/ ear drum and conducted a pressure test. He explained the issue and wrote a follow up email/photo for me to share with my doctor - I was prescribed antibiotics and my ear feels much better!

As a professional musician, I was in a complete panic and was desperate for information and advice about my sudden onset of tinnitus, and if I had caused damaged to my ears.
Alan took over an hour of his time just to listen to my stresses and concerns, informing and reassuring me that having tinnitus as a musician was manageable and not the end of the world. This alone reduced my stress and helped sort a good 80% of the issue. The hearing test was quick to do and the data also provided a concrete source of relief.
I cannot express how helpful it was to be able to share the panic of sudden hearing problems with a professional who also has a musical background. I felt heard and supported, and proceeded to get my amazing new hearing protection plugs through Amplitude Hearing too - I wish I had gone to them sooner.

I went to see Conor and he diagnosed my ear problem quickly and efficiently. All the equipment is hi tec and I loved seeing inside my ear! He has a lovely manor and I would absolutely recommend him. He is now my no 1 ear guy.

I had a lovely experience with Conor who performed a wax removal and ear impressions for ACS custom ear plugs. He was very friendly and professional and followed up with me to make sure the ear plugs arrived and fitted well!

I cannot praise this Company enough. I had been left 8 weeks without any functioning hearing aids or remote.
The company I was dealing with went into liquidation and I was left high and dry with no way forward. Who came to the rescue? Connor... He gave me a thorough hearing test and recalibrated my remote and now I am "a happy bunny". Seriously, this is the
