Using one of AMP EV's public charging points I was charged a pre-authorised fee of £50 on initiating the charge on my car, it then failed. On contacting AMP I was informed by a representative that I would have to wait 3-5 days if they were found to be in error. Unacceptable, only problem is I have no choice but to accept it.

The UK EV charging point industry seems to be full of latecomer, charlatan enthusiastic amateurs ... jumping on to the latest tech craze. I have just purchased my FIFTH EV charger over a ten year period .... spread over three domestic and one commercial location. This time I decided to look at a range of potential suppliers ... from newbies with sexy new chargers to established outfits providing very basic but reliable options. In the end I chose the latter combination and AmpEV fulfilled all of my expectations as an experienced buyer. They answered all my questions quickly and stuck to their advertised "headline" prices whereas all other suppliers tried to price walk me up the cost chain, largely ignoring their own advertised base prices. AmpEV supplied an excellent ROLEC charger exactly at the advertised price and their installation engineer was very knowledgeable, timely and tidy! The installation was also done quickly once I had selected the charger. I strongly recommend that you call Noel at AmpEV if you are joining the EV revolution and need a charger at home or at work.

Not the cheapest but the installer was excellent and happy to explain everything. Emma in the office very helpful. RZOC owners club £10 off. £139 plus rcd and earth. Cable charged at £6 pm after 5mtrs. Rolec unit doesn't miss a beat.

Excellent service when installing a car charging point. Identified essential work that hadn't been done previously and carried out this work on the day. All contact with the company was clear and professional. Highly recommended!
