Check the company’s ratings before!!!
I would always rent cars using this platform. Until the moment I rented a car in July, a man crashed his car into the car I was renting. This man admitted his fault and agreed to pay for the repairs to the car I was renting, as his car was fully insured. I immediately told the owner, who was very understanding and helped me with the process, in addition to talking to Amovens, of course. Amovens informed me that I would have to talk to Omocom insurance and that Omocom would handle the matter directly with the insurance company of the third party responsible for the damages. This never happened. Everything was handled poorly and in the end, after THREE months of the incident and incessant and frustrated attempts to contact Amovens and Omocom, they charged me for the deductible of the Omocom insurance to repair the car. Even though I was NOT responsible for the damages, neither Amovens nor OMOCOM (the insurance company affiliated with Amovens) were interested in resolving my case. When I asked Amovens about this charge, they replied: “The insurance in effect during the rental is from Omocom.” I suggest you, after using this platform for 1,5 year: NEVER rent with this company. Their low rating everywhere is directly linked to their poor management. I was a frequent customer and if they were a little strategic, they would have been more empathetic and helped me. Every time they respond to messages, they sound like a robot, and always on the defensive, instead of being polite and trying to be an amazing quick rental platform (and they are obviously far from that).
(Update - 13 November 2024) As I said, you did NOT move a finger to support me as a client. You just keep making excuses and repeating the same sentence instead of being proactive and emphatetic, and try to help your client (me) to not be unfairly charged! I was NOT responsible for the accident and tried incessantly to ask for support. You would hardly answer (you would only answer after I literally begged for an answer through emails and messages on Instagram as I would be left talking alone for WEEKS). Your customers’ support is terrible, the company is a mess and your reviews here and on other platforms speak for themselves. Assume your flaws and maybe after that you can be a better company. And please, don’t say I can contact you through email or phone after neglecting me as a client for 3 months. It is embarrassing! As I previously mentioned, I will be happily keep spreading the word of how terrible this company is.
