Insurance fraud feels like
My insurance company told me that I have 0 copays. But when I get to americas best they charge a 20.00 fee for retinal exam and 50.00 fitting fee that are both unnecessary but they will not see you unless you pay these. They take it from my 100.00 allowance. This is theft by deception in my point of view. If the exams are paid by insurance then How do they mandate exams that are not needed. What is the point of insurance if these companies find ways to still make you pay. I’m disabled and cannot work so this is effing bulls/)7

Wrong prescription for 2 years
My family and I have been loyal customers of America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses on Westheimer and Dairy Ashford area for over 10 years. My family trusted them, including my late father who also got his glasses from there. However, my experience over the past two years has been deeply disappointing.
I received incorrect prescription glasses repeatedly, and what struck me most was the utter lack of accountability or empathy. Despite my loyalty, there was no apology or acknowledgement of the mistake from anyone in the store. It felt as though it was just another transaction, a piece of furniture in a business that has forgotten the value of its customers.
After almost about a month, I finally received a voicemail suggesting I come in for a refund, but it felt hollow- like a mere formality rather than a genuine effort to make things right.
This experience has left me feeling disheartened and unappreciated. It's a stark reminder that those who contribute to a business's success can often be overlooked and treated poorly. If I could give a 0-star rating, I would. For anyone considering this store, I urge you to be cautious and fully understand your rights as a consumer. You deserve to be treated with respect and care, something that seems to be lacking here.

After waiting almost 2 weeks I get my glasses home and they're supposed to turn to sunglasses when you go outside they don't so I don't know what I got from them. This is the Bethlehem Georgia location

If I can give a zero review I would, do not waste your time buying frames at Americas Best. The quality of the frames are awful, the lenses got scratched less than 3 months. I kept them in the case, used the provided cloth and they still got scratched. My husband bought his from $39 glasses.com and throws them, uses his shirt to clean them and they are like new. Zero scratches. And yes I have the anti scratch coating on my AB glasses as does my husband from $39glasses. This happened even paying extra for the scratch resistant. I went over to complain to the store no help at all. They finally agreed to replace my lenses with my warranty only. I went in again because the leg of the frame came off due to the screw backing out. This happened multiple times. And the only thing they did was give me a document to a third party company called Fast fix a coupon they keep behind the desk. The irony is that my husbands glasses came with the repair tool to fix the frame screws yet he does not need it. Lucky for me I was able to use the $39 glasses tool to fix the America Best frame. this must happen a lot. AB has NOW sent me a notice after the fact saying there was an error in the insurance claim and they want more money. This is absurd. Shop $39 glasses. My husband has used them 7-8 times and the one time he had an issue (a finger print between the lens and the protective coating) all they asked for was a picture showing the PRINT. He do and they made him brand new glasses and sent them. And…he got to keep the ones with the print. Best back up glasses ever AND the best service. Stay away
This is my second visit to America's
This is my second visit to America's. Best. The first time was not a good experience and this one has not been a good experience either and I will not be going back. They put me on hold for 10 minutes. Never came back. I called him again the next day. They put me on hold for almost 4 minutes before they finally answered the phone. Customer service is terrible.

Awesome service w/ Maddie and Rion. Have visited four times, and each time, I've have been met with professionalism and a smile. The prices are reasonable and their selection is vast. I highly recommend them, and seek out Maddie!! She's a stud(ette)!

Store #5704 is horrible!! Do not go to this store! I spent money on my exam and then on an additional contact exam. Then because they had no trials I purchased 2 boxes of contacts that I always used and when they did not work they did nothing. Told me I needed a new exam and they would credit me any money. In today's work $200 is a lot for my family.

Jacksonville, FL. Stay Away! I’m literally shaking as I write this because of how rude and disrespectful most of the staff is there.
My son checked in for his 5:30 appointment at 5:32 on 5/7/2026. My son happened to be reporting for college football the next day- we were not aware he was leaving so early until 2 days prior. Cassie welcomed us and assured us my son would be seen. We discussed the situation and she was excited for him and said they will take care of him. 10-15 minutes later: enter Jerry or Jeremy - through the front door (whatever he is deciding to call himself today). He came into the store at approximately 5:50. He told my son the dr. was unable to see him as they were ‘legally bound’ to make sure the optometrist can leave by 6:00 pm, that he came in too late and someone came in earlier and they decided to see him instead. My son called me and told me a man came in from break and the situation at hand. When I called to speak to Jerry/Jeremy he kept laughing at me, saying he wasn’t on break. Found it hysterical. Said my son was too late and they couldn’t do anything because of the binding agreement with the optometrist. I said I hope that the conversation was being recorded and he laughed and said he did too.
Being that my husband and I were at Wal-Mart (very close to the store - grabbing dorm room items), my husband heard him laughing at me and went over to the store. Jerry/Jeremy was unable to provide proof of their ‘legal’ obligation and smelled profusely of certain substances.
I go in for the manager’s direct line and all of a sudden Jerry/Jeremy says the optometrist CAN see him, but at this point I’m beyond livid all while trying to wrap my head around get my freshman off to college with 2 days notice. We leave.
We ask for the general manager’s number, Jerry/Jeremy gladly passes it on (almost as if he knows nothing will become of it). When I call, the ‘direct line’ was the store’s number and Jerry/Jeremy answered. He said, “oops, I guess he lists this as his number.” I asked for Brian Caprio to return my call, I still haven’t heard from him. I call today to speak to him- but of course he’s in a ‘meeting’ and ‘unavailable.’

I had an excellent experience at America's Best in Prosper (Gates of Prosper). I recently purchased a pair of glasses, and unfortunately after few days it got little damaged on one side due to my mishandling I expected the repair process to take several days, but the team fixed them in less than 30 minutes.
A special thank you to Giti Bijari, who was incredibly helpful, professional, and caring throughout the process. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of quickly and efficiently.

Got an appointment fast compared to everywhere else I had called. I was mislead by the appointment setting employee told my insurance was good not out of network.Dr was professional took time to explain issues I have with my eyes gave a great referral to specialist. For a year of disposable contacts I paid about a hundred out of pocket my insurance covered two hundred which is very reasonable. Negative was months later received a bill for almost two hundred stating that they are not in network so my insurance didn't cover that amount. should of researched into it & not just believed the appointment setter. When I called to try to resolve the issue was blown off & given run around along with rude comments that I should know who is in network with my insurance. just paid the bill but they will not gee any of my business again. Seems of lately Ive had many great experiences with very caring Drs but their staff which they usually don't have much control over are horrible.Location San Antonio , Texas San Pedro location

I ordered 2 pair of glasses in April and told they would be here by the 18th of May unfortunately it is now the end of May. Only one pair came the other pair is lost. Nobody from America Best has notified me that one pair is here and the other pair lost. When calling America's worst Iget the run around, different story everytime. Very dissatisfied and will NEVER use this poor inexperienced place again. Worst business ever. Didn't read the reviews but I should of, then I wouldn't of went to America's Worst also the pair that came in were not sunglasses as ordered they were eyeglasses so who knows what my eyeglasses were probably sunglasses. Complete idiots
