DO NOT BUY

I bought this back in 2023 because at the time it was the best system on the market. Even from the begining it had loads of problems with the app and getting it to connect to wifi. I have been trying to get customer support for months but have not heard anything back. Annoyingly I made a second fake email asking about buying a new one and I got a response to that. After you buy the product they don't care about you at all!

At first their were very responsive

At first their were very responsive, that's like 3 years ago, they replaced some parts and sent me required requests. but as for now after the "CUVID" they barely answer if they do it's after 6 months and they don't do anything. they don't answer questions they just keep asking more and more, I have issue with 1 of the cameras that I bought, have 2. and it keeps disconnecting randomly. the other camera works fine, I tried messing with the wifi settings but if one camera works fine it's not the wifi. they don't reply and they said 3 years ago there is warranty, but they DON'T ANSWER ANYMORE, I got sick of this and I am writing this review, this company should disband forever, they did their thing, other company have this tech, if they can't support it, don't make it!

Poor business, cheap product.

Doesn't work. No customer support. Company sounds like a single owner operating from a warehouse. Twice I sent the camera unit back for repair when most major companies would just issue a replacement. They now have my camera unit and no feedback for months if they are planning on fixing it or replacing it. All costs incurred by me. Shocking way to deal with customers. I'll be leaving as much information online about them as I can.

Avoid this Company/Product as it doesn't do what they say it does!

Highly recommend you AVOID this company and product. I purchased this product in 2023 to work with a large format screen. After watching the videos on how it could extend your viewing experience I was looking forward to installing it. The product arrived quick enough after purchase, unfortunately that's where the positive experience ends. I installed as per instructions and setup accordingly. When I activated the Ambivision, I was first surprised to see that the light emission was very short and didn't spread very far across the wall (maybe 6-inches at most). I have been through all options within the App and have configured, from what I can see, correctly. Unfortunately, none of the modes work very effectively and the Camera is pointless addition. If you put the device into 'Intelligent' mode which is supposed to read the screen and spread light according to what's currently on screen, it does none of it. You just get random colours that bear no relationship to what's on the screen. There's a music mode which just marginally spreads random light and does nothing in relation to the music. The LED's just do the same regardless of what's playing (or not playing as the case seems to be) and bears no relationship to what's actually playing or showing. All in all, it's a completely pointless system that I suspect you'll be very disappointed in if you were to purchase. I will be removing and finding a better alternative. Finally, I tried to contact AmbiVision to try to understand why I couldn't get anything to work as per their website and videos. It turns out they provide no phone number on their site and ask that you email them. To date, they have failed to respond to a single support email I have sent them.

I bought this to replace my Philips…

I bought this to replace my Philips Ambilight Tv and fit it to a Sony TV
It is supposed to turn on and off automatically and you can place the camera up to 5 metres away not stuck in front of the TV.
The Ambivision unit does not auto turn off or on and goes off random times including when the TV is on pause and does not come back on I tried placing the camera just over 3 metres away it did not work despite the claim that you can place it up to 5 metres the ridiculous outdated 2.4GHz connection modern routers do not allow specific connection to 2.4GHz there is no way you can do this this needs to be updated if causing a problem very soon and it needs to be specified in large letters ONLY 2.4GHz I would certainly not buy again having to constantly use the iPhone app to turn on and off not what I paid for
Also this company is not on the Trustpilot list
Company does not send confirmation order or invoice or any purchase order information cannot even logon a company to be very wary of and not buy from.
Update
The company sent me full instructions followed them to the letter, it still did not turn on or off automatically randomly switches off when watching TV keeps going to MANUAL mode instead of the mood mode I selected, all in all a total waste of money a scam this does not do what it is supposed to do not buy it you will be very dissapointed
