Scammed out of my £100 bonus

Amazon Flex said they will give a £100 bonus for whoever does 20 hours worth of blocks in December 2020. So i did 20.5 hours...

BUT Amazon very cunningly put one of my 3.5hr blocks through "unnofficially" as an "adjustment".

So it officially only showed that i did around 17 hours. I told them they need to include the adjustment, and also asked them to tell me my total block hours in december.

But they ignored this, and also didnt tell me the total of my block hours... and responded with generic "after investigation we deem that you do not qualify" for bonus"

Scammers hyping everyone up for a bonus in december.... and then dont even pay it.

Fxck amazon

Hi I have been doing Amazon flex for 4…

Hi I have been doing Amazon flex for 4 months now and that’s me I’ve had enough so take note of your thinking about it the £15 an hour is nonsense you will do a round trip of 60 to 70 miles per block average of £7 for fuel if you are in a fuel efficient car then you have the wear and tear the scuffs that you don’t notice and believe me you will get them no matter how good a driver you are then you have depreciation cost if you do 3000 miles extra that will be at least £200 knocked of the value of the car and the extra services you will need so take that all into account your lucky if you make £8 an hour and that’s not including income tax if you pay it and watch out you might get a chap from the tax man if you don’t. Then there is the Micky mouse cartoon version of the overall standing which is run by a computer you will get the emails at 10 at night to upset you off cause you have done something wrong which they can’t back up so it’s probably lies and they never take your side my honest opinion don’t do it unless you are desperate for money it’s not worth getting worked up about delivering parcels they make you think it’s gold you are delivering. Terrible company to there workers

Previous Amazon driver, left disappointed!

I was working for amazon flex for about 4 years before they terminated my contract without no valid reason last month (Jan 2021).
Pros:
— work when you want
— easy money
— you can do more then 1 shift in a day
— bonuses
Cons: (important)
— any toll charges/parking fines you have to pay for as amazon won’t cover it.
— car wears and tears way over time
— amazon flex don’t even have a phone number to ring if there is any problems, you have to email customer support and 9/10 won’t get a reply or they will reply and not answer your question.
— rude staff when picking up
Amazon was my only income especially in the last 12 months during this pandemic and they terminated my contract without any reasons and what I used to make, helped me and my family cover bills/food etc... & I was never shown any sympathy or help during this time.

I worked on flex since October until…

I worked on flex during November until January 2020 doing roughly 4 x 3.5 hour shifts per week. I enjoyed delivering the parcels but when you do the overall maths you are lucky to earn anymore than £7 an hour. Anyone who says different isn’t factoring in all of their extra costs.
Sometimes you will travel 70 miles round trip in and out of tight pot holed country roads. Other times on normal roads but still 25 - 45 miles. You need the car to carry out the job and consider wear and tear as it gets beaten up. Tyres, mileage, suspension, scuffs & scrapes on wheels & bodywork & vehicle depreciation, it ends up less than the minimum wage.

I do think it’s worth doing for 4 or 5 weeks before Xmas but over 3 or 4 months will take its toll on your car.
From the extra £2000 over the 3 months you spent £300 on petrol which is about £6 or £8 per shift, maybe £80 on a wing mirror or something as it’s guaranteed something will take a knock, it’s par for the course which means your earnings have dropped to £1670 = £34 per shift & you’ve also put another 2500 mileage on your car. Your tyres, wheels and paintwork have took a beaten with scrapes, scuffs etc.

CONSIDERING ALL THAT YOUR TRUE EARNINGS WILL BE AROUND £25 FOR YOUR 3.5 HOURS. AS I SAID £7 AN HOUR AND THIS DOESNT CATER FIR ANY MECHANICAL ISSUES OR DENTS ETC.

Then there’s the hours spent refreshing the app, lol if you deduct that from the wage you will be taking home about £2.30 for your 3.5 hours.

Amazon are a typical American capitalist organisation who only care about the end result and the $. I’ve read the reviews from ex full time drivers and it’s awful. They even publicly name and shame drivers. I saw an example on social media and honestly felt like going to the warehouse and taking a few heads off. I felt the shame for the young guys. I wish people could act with unions as they once did and just down tools on mass with company’s like this.

And any of those 5 star reviews you see are from Amazon management themselves. There blags.

Was told it was on a self employed…

Was told it was on a self employed basis but they treat you like s**t
Long hours pay is reasonable but you do work extra hours un paid. No breaks once your on the road that's it till end of day
Management generally don't know how to run a business
They disapline you on very very small things and if it happens again your sacked on the spot no help or anything
Personally I wouldn't ever recommend anyone to work for them unless you wanna be treated unfairly

Don't recommend working here

Don't do it, you won't make any money. Typically carry big boxes that are mostly empty.this is so amazon can look like they are shipping big items.Risky, will cost more than you make.

Your car will break down. You make below $5 all things considered.
Not worth the time....and money..

Bad company ever to work for

Bad company ever to work for, they don't give a penny on their delivery partners, and if you dare to ask for your rights, you are out of amazon flex program, they only care about their money and their employees, as delivery partner you are trash they can step in it. Amazon is crap company never recommended it to anyone, find yourself another job. If you want to have easy days, and appart from that, if they see you that's you do good job in delivering, they are giving you more and more parcels and more stops, for less money, Jeff Bessos you should care more about your employees and delivery partners, because your employees are treating delivery partners like garbage, and if you say something they report you, very nice what can I say hahaha.

They control what they want you to have…

They control what they want you to have and will send you far from your home address if it suits them and then state the route allocated is randomly generated don't believe for one moment this is accurate.
I have complained about driver support and then penalised for doing so, not sure if the staff hold the view they are superior to others? I do enjoy delivering but have questioned Amazons overall practices and how they value drivers in general and help those who want to make an extra income as you really don't make much of an income in the long run?
pretty sure they have lost the focus of service delivery and retention, others have different experiences and will continue to enjoy just be aware that they can turn at any time nothing is given within Amazon Flex
Complain and they restrict your account and blocks become extremely limited one available in four days how do others obtain blocks? of course Amazon deny this occurs

A great opportunity!

At a time where there are not a lot of good paying jobs, Amazon flex presented itself to me. A new distribution center moved in to my hometown not far from my house, and the opportunity for delivery on my own schedule was made available. I have driven for Amazon now for a month, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The support level is amazing, and it seems like everybody that works for Amazon is just plain happy with their job! From the people that I have delivered from Whole Foods to the people in the distribution center! I am so glad that I was able to get in on this Opportunity… I see a long future between me and Amazon flex LOL. I highly recommend checking out this opportunity.
