I ordered a 2.5m x 3.5 aluminum pergola with motorized louvers, LED lighting, and custom wall panels from Alunotec, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. They provided a detailed quote very quickly, offered fair and competitive pricing, and handled the entire DDP process, including shipping and importation into Canada, with zero issues.

The pergola arrived exactly on schedule, very well packaged with every panel individually wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap. The quality exceeded my expectations as all components were solid, precisely fabricated, and finished beautifully. It took three people about 12 hours to install, and everything fit perfectly with clear labeling and all hardware included.

Alunotec also made a few custom changes to the wall panels at my request, and they handled those adjustments quickly and without complication. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the product and experience. Highly recommend Alunotec considering a premium aluminum pergola. Great value, great service, and a company that delivers exactly what they promise.

UPDATE — May 2026:
After installation, the pergola failed an ESA (Electrical Safety Authority) inspection in Ontario. The control system includes a CE-marked RCBO that is not CSA or UL approved for use in Canada. The actuators are UL-certified for Class 2 supply only (under 100W per circuit), but the system runs at 223W total off a single Class 1 power supply with no power distribution module to limit individual branch circuits to Class 2 levels. To bring the system into compliance I had to pull an ESA permit ($100), hire an authorized inspector for a field evaluation ($1,000), and purchase and install a Class 2 rated power distribution module and UL-certified breaker ($900). That's roughly $2,000 in additional cost and significant time to resolve what should have been addressed at the factory with the correct components. The pergola itself remains a quality product, but buyers in Canada (and likely the US) should be aware that the included electrical system may not meet local code and budget accordingly.

The shipping transit time to California was a little less than 3 weeks, and a few days more passed for the shipment to be then delivered. Everything arrived well packaged in sturdy wood crates and with no missing items! It should be mentioned that a forklift is required at the delivery site to unload the crates, and this is the responsibility of the customer.

I didn’t order the standard four column pergola, instead I have the pergola installed on my second floor balcony with one side mounted to the wall. The support I received was very helpful. Their engineering team is very knowledgeable and answered my questions promptly. The pergola was well packed with clear instructions. Installation was very smooth thanks to the precise fabricated parts, everything fits just like the drawings. The finish of the pergola seems to be high quality and the materials are durable. We recently installed an AlunoTec pergola with motorized aluminum louvers, motorized screens, and integrated LED lights, and it has completely transformed our backyard. From the first time I got in contact with alunotec it’s been amazing. All the questions I asked were answered by Fannie her response time was excellent . I ordered a custom motorized louvered pergola from AlunoTec, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. Leebit, my sales rep, guided me through everything—material selection, custom dimensions, design renderings, and even final installation diagrams. Communication was always clear, and she quickly resolved the one small color mismatch during production. It’s clear that a skilled team of designers, engineers, and customer support staff worked behind the scenes to make the whole process seamless.

Production took about a month, with regular updates, photos, and videos of the finished product. Shipping to the U.S. took another month, and when it arrived, I was impressed by how carefully it was packaged. The pergola was shipped in three long wooden crates (about 20 feet each), and every piece was perfectly packed—no scratches or damage at all. The material quality was outstanding and the detailed instructions made assembly straightforward.

Assembly required a few people due to the heavy beams, but the design made it simple to put together. Any installation questions I had were answered right away, and when one electrical module didn’t work, a free replacement was shipped immediately.
