Hi, just this morning I was contacted by a female from alt.com and acting as we were in contact on the site, we weren't talking on the site she was going to drive to my house and give it a try. I told her that I would pick her up and no she wouldn't have that so I suggested she ride a train plane or anything,she was going to drive, I put all the numbers together and it was going to take about $55 for has so bottom line is she showed me a Indiana driver license and a car with Indiana plates, she insisted that she drive her car, ok, when she ask how much gas it took off, then she wanted $ 100 for. Gas, scammer no doubt, she also had a cell phone that showed up on caller I D as from Hartford Connecticut, totally a scammer.

Total waste of time, all scammers, fakes, con men/women, Don't bother

I can admit that I was scammed. Tricked into joining for a black gay sex party in NYC and then sent a cryptic link to send $1 to the person who tricked me into joining and getting a silver membership. Should have known cuz it seemed too good to be true, had way more rules than regular sex parties here, and process to join is rather unnecessarily convoluted. I immediately turned off auto renew and deleted my account.

Scammers and beggars. Horrible experience.

Fake fake people i have been on the site for a short time. I have had alot of message all but one has been fake. Every single message i get after one day of talking will ask you for money give you some story of how they lost there job or cant afford to eat. What a bs site i asked for a refund after 3 day and i was told no. I will never sign back up good thing i did a 3 month.

I found this site to be full of fake scammers and money hungry people or men livin out fantasies using womens profiles . 99.9% of profiles are NOT genuine. Avoid it.

I was on Alt Dating Club BDSM for over 4 months. I had one woman contact me and I was not interested in her. I had on my profile for the woman to use my name so that I knew that it was not a computer generated message. I received a lot of messages but they all had those corny phrases and not one used my name. I am convinced that they were computer generated that is with I left.

Site has good intentions, and was pretty easy to manage. However out of dozens of contacts, all I found were, romantic scammers, and Wanna be Domme women who want you to buy things for them. At least they were honest about it.

My honest opinion is that everyone on the site that has contacted me has been a scam they talk nicey-nicey for a day or so then want me to send them money be careful who you talk with on this site all of the ones I have been in contact with ar scams

My opinion on this site is STAY AWAY FROM IT!!! Not only are the people on here are flakes but so are the people who manage this site (they are actually WORSE.) You can never get in touch with them, one thing they do not tell you is once they have your profile they sell it to other sites without your permission. It may be a site you not wish to be on. They do not regulate the scammers who are on these sites because this would involve the FED'S that is the last thing they want because they are not running a honest business. Alt has not figured out that there is a difference between sex and business, one you could sue over should you be discriminated over, the other you can go to prison if you are scamming the Government or their clients. I wonder where Alt lays. You take your own chances and your life if you join Alt you have been warned.

Just a scam site. At first glance it appears genuine many people on the site with extensive profiles, good networks which may be true. Once you register you get hammered with emails, flirts etc to entice you to pay the fee. So I did (2nd time in a year) and still the same outcome. Aggressive women who demand money for toys etc to be paid for into a bank account (not a shop) and await further instrcutions. Yeah right as if! This is the same weather you're a sub, dom or switch. The toys are to be used on 'her' or myself by a 'mistress' (probably someone in another country trying to scam suckers) Then theres the ones that send links to join 'her' network but guess where adultfriendfinder which owns ALT and is just as much of a scam. These dirty mofos really spoil it for the genuine kinksters. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Many messages, only scammers

Way too many fake and scammer profiles. I closed my account today, after being a customer for five days.

Everything on this site is upsell. You log into Instant messenger and see someone online close to you. Curiously enough, this person is the first one you will see on the top of your list. You click on their profile and are directed to a banner informing you that so and so is a new subscriber and therefore you have to wait 3 days before you can talk to this person, UNLESS you upgrade to the next level membership.

The one person I was actually able to chat with IM'd me within a couple of minutes after I reviewed "her" profile immediately tried to hustle me for money. It was clear after talking to "her" for a few minutes that "she" was not remotely close to being located near me. It's all BS.

Almost all of the profiles appear to be fake, unverified or dormant. The website itself appears to push notifications to you to attempt to get you to believe it's active with legitimate people, but after a couple of days you realize its an illusion.

Biggest Fake site ever....in a year never talked to or met anyone. Most profiles after contact are never where the location is on their profile then the same old story starts up eventually asking for money to travel to you. When your close to your membership expiring I started receiving 25-30 Flirts.favorites,and messages a day. I responded to almost all of them with no response amazing huh. I responded to messages they sent me telling me they are interested and they never respond obvious employees for ALT. Waste of money thats why they push the yearly membership because you learn fast they are BS.

Most are either men pretending to be a) A woman or b) a couple.
The IM (instant messenger) does not work half the time.
Be aware of the Auto renewal feature, this can be turned off in you account, best to check it is still 'off' regularly as mine mysteriously switched back to 'on' just before my account lapsed and they took payment from my account!
In other words, avoid Alt and the sister company Adultfriendfinder as both are the same crap company.

Alt is not worth the money there might be 5% of the people on there that are real. I joined the site with a 6 month membership I really could only stand about 3 months before canceling. Every Mistress Dome that contacted me wanted money, yes one even sent me a list of 1200 dollars worth of equipment she wanted me to buy and even asked if I would do a Walmart money transfer. The fake profiles, scammers and even alt.com generating fake contact is really bad. There are others that abuse the posting of others and no one monitors it. I would not even recommend this site.

I was a member of alt.com for a few weeks. I was visiting my account almost daily. Then suddenly they banned me for no reason whatsoever. I wrote them a complaint mail and they said I engaged in inappropriate behavior and my account was deleted and I was banned. I asked them why. I don’t even have a photo there how can I be inappropriate?

They said I was fraud whatever that means and even if I become a member again they would ban me without refund. I asked them why? What did I do? Do you have any proof of anything I did wrong? Are you banning me because I’m from Turkey? They say they don’t have to prove anything or explain why they are banning me and just that I’m banned. Awful, awful company.

Good points; 1. A very slick appearance,
2. The site is easy to use if you want to browse profiles, but with provisos I will detail below.

Bad points;

1. Deliberate misinformation. I was lied to from the first time I used the site. At first Alt.com is initially presented as a free to use (which I did take with a grain of salt) way to contact like minded people for dating and social connections. This is not true, the free content includes setting up a profile and not much more. It is 100% useless as far as usability is concerned.

2. Continuously pressured to buy more products. At every point, which means basically most times I clicked the mouse, a large banner popped up informing me I needed to upgrade to Silver membership to proceed. I wanted to proceed and so I upgraded to a one month Silver membership, being informed that with Silver I could contact the people I was interested in and that I could navigate the site. But that was a lie also, often, perhaps 50 to 60 times in a twenty minute period of trying to navigate the site, I was presented with a banner telling me I was blocked and that I needed to upgrade to the Gold membership to be able to 'fully' utilise the website. As I had already spent money I wanted to see a result so I bought a one month extension for the gold membership. So at this point I was finally given the run of the website. But even then I was presented wit the option of upgrading any other profile I clicked on to full gold if thy were not already on Gold. I also found that the website is not very good, as far as content goes.
Later on I was also pressured endlessly to renew my membership. See auto renew details below.

3. Poor content. Fetlife is far superior, with better options and content, and it has not cost me a cent to this day. There are some chat rooms but they are pretty much empty at all times. Sorry but one person in a room makes for very slim chat. A large number of profiles are honey pots set by petty criminals using imaged downloaded from porn sites and misleading text to lure in potential victims, see details below.

4. Petty criminals .Anther annoying thing is the amount of cheats, swindlers and thieves making fake profiles. I have been approached by numerous people wanting my money, usually by using deception, but on one occasion by using direct threats in a blackmail attempt.

5. Poor response to issues. Alt.com have been made aware of various incidents and issues but have declined to answer me or to actually acknowledge any of my messages.

6. Over billing. My final point concerns the one time with this website I was actually robbed. The online fraud department of my bank contacted me to tell me my credit card was in arrears and that there had been suspicious activity on my credit card. And when I checked my balance I found that I have been billed for over £200, or $260. I investigated my account and found I have been billed for the silver membership twice, also for the one month Gold extension I know I bought and another six month Gold membership starting at the same time I had no knowledge of. I have made the (whomever it concerns at this faceless company) relevant person aware of the situation, but Alt.com have declined to reply or to even acknowledge this situation.
I have been more thorough investigating this website and after clicking through several pages in the account section I found a small box Alt.com had kindly re ticked for me, saying that I have asked them to auto-renew my membership(s)?
I am disturbed by the way I have been deliberately misled and deceived and fleeced since I have joined this website and would never recommend it to anyone.

This is not a bitter "I didn't meet anybody" rating. Let me tell you why this site is b.s. I met someone and created a profile for her. She did not even have the password (this was part of our control games.) Shortly after creating her profile, my personal profile got a "wink" from hers. Obviously the system FALSELY creates "winks" to get people to purchase the higher level membership (so they can respond to the wink or message.) Also, she was often listed as "online" when she was not.

There are also several fake profiles. The irony is that my sub (who submitted a "proof" photo and was a verified member) was kicked off the site for (I am guessing, since they wouldn't tell us why) sending out her personal e-mail and offering to sell personalized videos to other members, or -when local- meet them in person.

We received no answer to "what terms of service did we violate?" However, I am giving a 2 star (instead of 1) for the sole fact that they DID refund the unused portion of my year-long membership when I complained that the site was a bunch of b.s. Obviously they do this because they know they'd bet all sorts of better business bureau complaints if they didn't.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: I did a search, for the WHOLE site, women with VERIFIED profiles, ages 18-99 looking for a man within 10,000 miles of me. There were 4. FOUR.

I was on alt for several years (2013-2016) then drifted away. I've just rejoined - and paid - August 2018 and the experience is awful. My main beef is not that stuff doesn't work (eg doesn't save message sent and therefore maybe doesn't send them...) no, my main beef is I have emailed them nine times over six days and no-one replied or addressed my problem. They took my money and they hid. It is a shame because - n my experience - it used to be a good site. Real people (ok, some said they were young when they were old, thin when they were fat etc) but I had good times there and made some nice cyber-friends. If anyone running alt is reading this (unlikely) please, you had a good product, make it good again. It will make you honest money.
