1. Weekend Trading vs. News Trading:
You are correct that you purchased the add-on to trade during the weekend, and our system fully honored that. However, your account was not closed for weekend trading. It was closed due to a News Trading violation on your Standard Base Camp account.
2. The Specific Rule:
On our Standard accounts, trading is restricted during high-impact news events (5 minutes before and after the release) to protect the firm’s capital from extreme volatility and slippage. This is a black-and-white safety protocol that applies to all Standard account holders, regardless of whether they have the weekend trading add-on.
3. Choosing the Right Account:
We offer different account types to fit different strategies. If your trading style requires you to enter the market during high-impact news events, we highly recommend our Swing Account, where news trading is fully permitted. The Standard account you selected, however, requires strict adherence to the news-restricted windows as outlined in our FAQ and Terms of Service.
