AlphaTheta (Pioneer DJ) leaves DDJ-1000 owners stranded — no macOS Tahoe support, no timeline, no communication
I own a Pioneer DDJ-1000 and I am deeply disappointed by the complete lack of communication and support regarding macOS Tahoe compatibility. Months have passed and there is still no official update, patch, or even a clear timeline from Pioneer DJ.
This situation is leaving customers in an impossible position: we cannot update our existing MacBooks to the latest operating system, and we cannot purchase new Apple machines either — because the new processors do not allow OS downgrades. We are essentially stuck with no solution and no end in sight.
The DDJ-1000 is not a budget entry-level product. It is a high-end piece of equipment sold at a premium price, and customers who invest in AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ P gear expect professional-grade support to match. What we are experiencing right now is the exact opposite.
The total absence of updates or transparency is unacceptable. At the very minimum, Pioneer DJ should be providing regular communication about the status of the fix and a realistic release date for a compatible driver or software update.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the brand and will factor heavily into any future purchasing decisions. I strongly urge AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ to address this issue urgently and treat its loyal customers with the respect they deserve.
