AlphaTheta (Pioneer DJ) leaves DDJ-1000 owners stranded — no macOS Tahoe support, no timeline, no communication

I own a Pioneer DDJ-1000 and I am deeply disappointed by the complete lack of communication and support regarding macOS Tahoe compatibility. Months have passed and there is still no official update, patch, or even a clear timeline from Pioneer DJ.

This situation is leaving customers in an impossible position: we cannot update our existing MacBooks to the latest operating system, and we cannot purchase new Apple machines either — because the new processors do not allow OS downgrades. We are essentially stuck with no solution and no end in sight.

The DDJ-1000 is not a budget entry-level product. It is a high-end piece of equipment sold at a premium price, and customers who invest in AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ P gear expect professional-grade support to match. What we are experiencing right now is the exact opposite.

The total absence of updates or transparency is unacceptable. At the very minimum, Pioneer DJ should be providing regular communication about the status of the fix and a realistic release date for a compatible driver or software update.

This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the brand and will factor heavily into any future purchasing decisions. I strongly urge AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ to address this issue urgently and treat its loyal customers with the respect they deserve.

ATTENTION!! DON’T BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

I bought a djm s7 in December 2024 to use with rekordbox on my Macbook, in September 2025 I updated to macOs Tahoe and since then I have been unable to use all my setup because the mixer drivers are not compatible with the new operating system, after several reports from several different users Alphatheta to date (January 31, 2026) has not yet resolved the situation, which is ridiculous, I feel extremely disappointed, go buy rane products or denon ones instead, this company deserves bankruptcy.

Feels like fraud — wrong product and no help

Title: Feels like fraud — wrong product and no help
Rating: 1 star
Review: I purchased the DDJ-FLX10 Limited Edition White from Amazon, sold by Pioneer / AlphaTheta, with a protection plan. The unit that arrived was black, not the white Limited Edition I paid extra for. Support has been unhelpful and keeps pushing me around: I can only text, repeat my story multiple times, and am told to email repeatedly. It feels like a fraud — they sent the wrong product and don’t want to help. I needed this for an upcoming gig and spent hours trying to get a solution, but there has been no resolution. For a brand of this size and reputation, this is unacceptable.

Terrible customer service resolution

Each year right around the holidays and also coincidently 60 days before subscription renewal something goes wrong with the software (updates new releases etc.) I decided I was dropping their service altogether when Digital River (their subscription biller) disappeared. they went to new provider that asks you to sign up for a subscription open ended until the year 2042! I refused !!! I told them they could cancel my subscription at the end of the period I paid for and I would not be renewing. have not been able to resolve this with the support that is really unknowledgeable and basically useless. So, I finally just gave up. it's the new way of doing business; see if subscriptions don't start drying up

Do not buy from them

Do not buy from them , my flx4 tempo fader went and I did a lot of back n forth fault fixing to try and last resort was send back for repair with pre paid postage not bad I thought !! Then I get email stating your controller is out of warranty and it will be £90 to inspect your controller and we will charge you more for delivery to send back too I contacted alpha who basically said it it’s out of warranty you have to pay …but surely one of the first things you would ask customer is ….do you still have warranty for controller before sending which I wasn’t aware of I thought warranty was 2 years not 1 year which is really shit for such a so called reputable company ….so customer service and support 0 =zero. after care discretion to at least offer some sort of discount for a one off repair but nothing and then asked for a link for complaint and have not heard from them since my advice buy from other competitor !!!

Don’t buy

Don’t buy! Zero support.
I bought two Wave eight speakers. Although they supposedly have two distributors in Thailand, none of them answers call or emails; so I imported the speakers from USA.
I have a sync issue with the speakers. But it impossible to contact anybody. They purposely do not put any number or email on their website. They push you to their distributor who does not exist.
DONT BUY. These speakers are bad and don’t work well.
