Their automated booking service is awful. Our outgoing taxi was late so we called to find that they were still trying to locate a driver. This happened on the way home as well - it was eventually 30 mins late. I always thought that when you stated a pick up time that was the time the taxi would arrive NOT the time the system starts trying to locate a free driver!! Will not be using Alpha Cars in future.

Booked a car to meet the train. 20 mins before arrival time received tel call asking where we are as he is waiting. Explained that the train wasn’t due for another 20 minutes and to meet the train when it arrived. . On arrival at station rang to ask where car was and told that we had cancelled it. Driver, who had a Basingstoke number, had cancelled the booking. Obviously couldn’t be bothered . Work that one out! Won’t be asking Alpha again.

I booked a taxi 4 weeks in advance, and confirmed the details the day before. The taxi didn’t turn up. When I rang, I was told they didn’t have a driver, but would send a taxi when they had a driver available. Unfortunately I needed to be at an event at a certain time, so couldn’t just wait for a driver to turn up. I was able to book a taxi through another company, but I was 30 minutes late. I will never trust Alpha cars again.

Never showed up. Booked online a few hours before for a non busy time of day (10:15). Website said waiting to find driver even though booked 2 hours before. No sig of a drivers availability on website. No way to contact a human being. Unreliable

Avoid at All Costs – Exploitative and Unprofessional!

Today is 12th December 2024 @ 1150 hrs. I have a flight from Heathrow at 1600 hrs. It is hands down the worst taxi company I have ever dealt with. I initially booked an estate car week in advance for my journey to the airport, specifying that I would have 3 large suitcases and 2 hand-carry bags. At the last moment, they sent a people carrier instead and demanded £37.50 extra because they claimed I had 4 large suitcases instead of 3.

When I tried to resolve the situation by asking them to send the estate car I booked (and offered to drop one bag to meet the requirements), they refused, claiming no other cars were available. They knew I was in a time-sensitive situation heading for my flight and completely exploited the situation to blackmail me into paying extra.

To make matters worse, they demanded full payment in advance before I could even depart. This level of unprofessionalism and predatory behavior is appalling. Companies like this, who use dishonest tactics and exploit their customers, should be banned. They are nothing but a bunch of cowboys, with zero regard for customer service or integrity.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this disgraceful company.
