The concept is good but the application has fallen victim to greed. They no longer offer a subscription without autorenewal at the onset. You can go in after the beginning of your new term and turn off autorenew, but of course the hassle of going back and doing that, and the likelihood that you will forget to do so, is the reason they set up that requirement. The app is also poorly designed, with no "Account" button for example, making navigation difficult.

I have been using the AllTrails Pro app for over a year now, and I highly recommend it. It’s great for knowing your location on a trail and tells you with the arrow which fork in the trail you have taken. It even sends an alert if you incorrectly leave the trail. I have not used the offline map because I have always gotten a GPS signal. Will try it some day. Highly recommend the Pro version for only $30 per year.

tried to get a "free" trial but all trails demanded my personal finance information for a "free" trial. No thanks Alltrails. Its not free if you have to pay with personal information.

Extremely poor customer service. They are rude and insulting in their ‘support’ email replies. I wouldn’t use Alltrails if I was lost and this was the only way to get directions. They don’t update critical info on trails and can lead people to get lost or go the wrong way, even when they are told of errors.

Marks my private drive and garden as a footpath.

AllTrails app sends hikers along the wrong track in Numinbah Valley. The Great Walks track opposite the Numinbah Valley School of Arts Hall is the correct track for hikers to follow from the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road but this app sends people past a sign erected by National Parks which is clearly placed to prevent walkers from accessing a fire break past community housing. There is also barrier tape across this track. HIKERS MUST FOLLOW THE GREAT WALKS TRACK ARROWS. My name is Peter Yaun and I am the district Fire Warden & was involved during the design & construction stage of this Great Walks track. Please AllTrails, fix this problem as local community are very much annoyed with hikers disturbing residents in the early morning hours & even at night.

Tralee Fenit greenway map is sending people up/ down an agricultural boreen in the Spa area. It has 3 blind spots and is not a planned access point for the Greenway.

This company took £29.99 from my account without me ever attempting to subscribe. I complained via their website e mail and told them I was disputing it with the bank....half a hour later the entry had disappeared. It is a worry how thy accessed my bank details as I had never even heard of them. Since that my cousin has found an app on her phone with advisement of taking £35.99. Very worrying. I have asked them twice to explain how they had my details...no response yet.

Used Alltrails for many years and found it great but the latest round of price increases is just absurd profiteering. Prices have risen over 30% for 2023 sub. Cancelled and will not be returning. I did email the company requesting why the ludicrous hike in prices but i was fobbed off. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

Not helpful at all. We attempted a pretty easy circular walk but the app map was so broad-brush that we couldn't follow it at all. We ended up guessing. So it's the end of the free trial for me.

Downloaded the app but found it very inaccurate. The route seemed to work OK but all the times and distances were wrong. As I reached the end of a walk it was telling me I still had over and hour to go and 2 miles. Hard to plan around that.
Another issue was it was raining the last time I used it. Due to a lack of any spoken directions I had to get my phone wet to check the route.

Once Alltrails got my email address I have been bombarded with unwanted emails. I have been unsuccessfully trying to unsubscribe for months.
Don’t have anything to do with these stalkers.

Already tried to cancel my account in every possible way, via the app, send an email to AllTrails, on the computer, but your account cannot be deleted and you keep receiving SPAM!

Worst experience ever. I cant get out of my trying period. I wish I have read your comments ealier.
Maybe Alltrails wants to comment on this otherwise I will keep sending bad rewiews!!!!

If you have registered once they dont´t let you unsuscribe, and terrorize you with their useless mails nearly every day!

They just keep sending me e-mails. I was not impressed by the app, so I deleted it quite quickly. However now that they have my email, they just keep coming. Unsubscribing does not work, and what is this “it takes 7 days for updating email preferences”!? Never have I ever heard of such a thing

Pretty useless app with poor coverage and directions for trails. Plus after paying for the pro version they automatically renewed my subscription for another year without any prior notification and refused to refund me. Total rip off.

I am very disappointed with AllTrails pro. Having used the app for several weeks, find it difficult to find my way round. It seems impossible to write /record new routes.
Many routes on the app are inaccurate, with e.g. a walk covering many kilometres, with a gain of several hundred metres are described as ‘easy’.
Many walking paths end after a few metres!
Railway lines, which can be useful guides, are so feint that are nearly illegible.
I never found a method of finding a location without first choosing a pre-set walk near the location you are trying to find!
What I thought would be a ‘life saver’ walking in Switzerland, was a bit disappointing. Maybe a useful guide would have helped me. Unfortunately, I never found it.

I used this app once a year ago. They have just charged me £29.99 without any notification. I usually keep a good record of subscription dates and when to cancel free offers. There is no option on the app to cancel the subscription (that I can find - if it is there it is WELL hidden) and no obvious way to reach out to Alltrails to notify them to cancel the charge.

Not good place to work. Contractors do same work as full time but much less pay and no benefits. Promotions given based on cliques. Lost half of team this year due to lack of opportunity or because they spoke out about something illegal. Brags a lot about being accessible but website not available to people with visual or hearing problems even though that's the law. Team not diverse at all either.
