Please steer clear of Allied Market Research

I lead the commercial functions (CRO) for a large multinational organization and have over 20 years of research experience. I conducted thorough background research on Allied Market Research due to initial skepticism, and my concerns were validated. Allied Market Research is, in essence, a scam. They present polished pitch decks and attractive information on their website, creating the illusion of credible data and reports. However, after purchasing their reports, it becomes clear that they have little to no substantive knowledge of the markets. The data provided is not only incorrect but also misleading.

Unfortunately, there are limited resources available out there to evaluate research firms before committing financial resources. While some low-cost research firms do offer value, Allied Market Research is not one of them in my experience. Once you spend the money, there is no way to get anything back from them. I strongly recommend steering clear of them. I hope my experience can help you not make the same mistake.

Unreliable Market Studies and Lack of Credible Sources

We initially contacted this company because they offered various types of market studies, including some related to hydrogen topics, which were of interest to us. The first interactions went well, as they agreed to customize their analysis to fit the specific case study we were interested in. They sent us an outline of what would be developed, which was relatively aligned with what we were looking for. They requested full payment upfront, but we explained that, since it was our first time working with them and we had no direct references, this wasn’t possible. We agreed to pay one-third of the invoice upfront, which we did.

Once they completed the report, they provided us with restricted access to a read-only version of the study. At first glance, the study appeared to cover the proposed topics; however, the data presented was based on their previous internal studies, with no references to credible and reliable sources such as well-known international institutions. Some of the data caught our attention as it contradicted other information we had. When we asked them for the sources, they pointed again to their internal, complex methodology but still did not provide reliable sources.

After many interactions, we informed them that relying on their data was risky and that we were no longer interested in the study due to its lack of reliability. Despite clearly pointing out reputable and known sources that contradicted their data, we couldn’t get them to address the issue. They remained stuck in the same circular argument, basing their study solely on their internal data without external references.

We then requested a refund, as they hadn’t fulfilled the agreed-upon scope. At that point, they stopped responding to our requests, although they continued to reply with the same generic answers to our follow-up inquiries.

In summary, their studies are not reliable, at least in the hydrogen market, as the data they use is not supported by credible and trustworthy sources.

Allied Market Research is very professional and valuable partner

Allied Market Research was very professional in cooperation with our company. It was not a problem for them to, in a very short time, adjust query that we asked for and to provide us with custom made reports that were very valuable for our strategic planning. Also, response time was very fast and in line with our request.
We will choose Allied Market Research for future projects in their business services scope.

Best Research Firm and Service

We reached out to them for a very customized requirements and being a part of startup there was not much budget to spend. I would always recommend them as a knowledge partner for providing the necessary information and also providing lucidity over cost with maximum quality.

I believe this is a scam

I believe this is a scam. I suspect they try to approach British people with lots of knowledge in industries to try to get market analysis. Yes, unlike most expert advice networks, they do not register you on their site and ask for bank transfer details and send you potentially infected files to open. I would steer clear of this recently set up company. Most of their researchers only have LinkedIn activity over the last number of months. Beware as could be security issue, trying to poach data and insights on the mistaken belief you could be paid for a service. No company pays about a month after providing expert advice. The majority turn this around in a few days or week at most. Just sounds dodgy.

Very bad research company

Very bad research company, I wonder if they own all the research on their site. After collecting all my data, they refuse to provide the requested service. I just hope all the personal information I submit is safe.
