Will Not honor their warranty
In November 2020, I contacted Albright Painting company about putting a protective coating on our concrete patio. They inspected the concrete slab thoroughly and agreed to do the polyurea coating. Their proposal stated “their polyurea coating was far superior to epoxy coatings”. That “it was four times stronger than epoxy, would not chip or peel, and would provide me with decades of value”. They stated that “they could professionally coat a variety of bare concrete surfaces” and “they proudly offered a 15 year residential warranty”. Five years after, I had them come out and inspect four spots that were chipping and peeling. They came out to look over the area. He told me due to concretes porous structure, water comes up
and dislodges their coating. He stated that the warranty was not theirs, but by the product manufacture. He stated, they could do a courtesy repair, but that would not match the existing surface. However, if I wanted to pay, again, they could put a more durable sealant on. They're handling of this warranty is not professional. They stated that, they are not responsible for the warranty although I have the attached email that says., “WE proudly offer a 15 year residential warranty”, if they know the nature and structure of concrete, why didn't they put this superior barrier down? They directly state that their product “will not chip or peel”, which is what it's doing. They offer a 15 year warranty, but will not honor that warranty. Allbright has done hundreds of concrete jobs and yet they had no idea the water might come up through the concrete, although they knew this when they came out to inspect the damage. Their product, support, and customer service are horrendous. I except them to honor their warranty for the full 15 years that was stated on the proposal paperwork. They are supposedly professional and agreed to apply a protective product that will give me “decades of value”. However, their product has not meant any of their promises.
