I had Tree Loungers for 4 years, and they were great.
They stopped making them, and all the variants I tried were uncomfortable. And even after buying, it's not possible to leave a review on their site.
Buyer beware
Been a loyal customer for years. Bought probably 10 pairs of shoes from them. Returned an equal amount. Because until you get them and try them on and see fit and feel, you don't know. I went to order last night and found after many different contacts that I'd been banned for too many returns. No warning, nothing. Just see ya. They are having serious financial difficulties, so they are cutting customers in effort to get more profitable. Not sure how that will work. But will look for good alternative. From what I can read, they won't be in business much longer.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and no QC in sizes!!!
My experience with "Allbirds" has been very poor! The sizes are NOT consistent. I'm a true size 7 and bought 2 pairs (of the same kind, different colors) and 1 fits great, the other like a size 6! I returned the one that fit a whole size smaller, along with a picture of both pairs I bought, side by side, and you could see the difference in size, very obvious! It takes several days....or NOT at all to get a response from their customer service! Several times asked them to call me to get this worked out....nothing! When they did "finally" refund the one pair, they didn't give me full refund, almost $10 less than what I paid! I wrote them to ask how they got that amount.....no response! My son bought me a pair of slippers for Christmas, size 7 and they go 2 inches past my heel! NO QUALITY CONTROL with Allbirds!! I asked my son to STOP buying from this company! NEVER will I buy from them, poor POOR Customer Service.

Received my order very quickly, unfortunately there was an issue with the trainers so I emailed customer services straight away who almost immediately responded and offered me several different ways to resolve the issue. This was sorted within 24hours and the trainers are very comfy so I'm very happy and will be purchasing from Allbirds again.

Order a pair of shoes and had them accidentally sent to an old addrss since I just moved. I attempted to work with their customer service to do anything about this, since I couldn't get access to my old buildings drop off location and because of the shipping method Allbirds uses I can not make any changes or hold with fedex. I ended up getting passed between 3 different customer service people who failed to read my responses to the last person and give me the same answers and forcing me to repeate myself multiple times. This is either a chat bot getting feed my emails as new conversations every couple of messages or a very lazy and unhelpful customer service team. I am just trying to work out some way I don't end up with no shoes and out $60.
I’m very disappointed with Allbirds…
I’m very disappointed with Allbirds men’s shoes, especially considering the premium price and the brand’s reputation.
After around 6 months of normal, everyday use, the shoes started ripping from the insole, and the damage then spread to the surrounding material. This wasn’t due to heavy use, sports, or any misuse—just regular walking and office wear. Once the insole area began tearing, the shoes quickly became uncomfortable and unusable.
For shoes marketed as high-quality and sustainable, this level of durability is unacceptable. The insole is a core part of the shoe, and it should not fail this quickly under normal conditions. The materials feel weak, and the overall construction does not justify the price.
Allbirds may look good and feel comfortable initially, but based on my experience, they are not built to last. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone expecting durability or long-term value
Allbirds is not processing returns in Australia and no longer has customer service there
Allbirds seems to be shutting down, as they no longer have customer service in Australia. I purchased a pair of shoes online a month ago, and am unable to return them as the website isn't working, and no one at their "help" email address has replied to my emails about it. So, if you buy anything from Allbirds and it isn't suitable you'll likely be stuck with it.
The most awful experience yet!
I’ve been a long-term customer and this was my 7th pair of shoes from this brand, but my recent experience has been extremely disappointing.
I purchased two pairs of Men’s Tree Runner Go and found them extremely uncomfortable, particularly through the arches of my feet, despite ordering my usual size (11) and despite the strong “wear-all-day comfort” claims advertised on the website.
The shoes were worn only briefly to assess fit and comfort. Customer support later acknowledged that the wear was minimal, yet refused a refund and stated that returns must show “zero signs of wear”.
Instead of a refund, I was offered only a gift card (minus an $8 return fee) or an exchange.
The customer service process was slow, difficult to engage with, and required repeated follow-ups. Despite requesting escalation, I was not provided access to a manager for review.
I provided photos before returning the shoes and tried to resolve the issue respectfully. The way this return was handled felt misleading and unfair. The comfort claims did not reflect the product I received, and the overall experience left me feeling deceived and very disappointed.
Based on my experience, I would strongly caution other customers.

I purchased 2 pairs of house slippers an a pair of sneakers for a gift. The sneakers didn't work so instead of returning I decided to exchange and bought 2 more pairs of sneakers, both on sale. Received the shipment today, and don't know if the gift pair works yet but the pair for me was too narrow so I returned it, it's $65 + tax. Initially, the refund was $65 + tax, but now after I dropped it off, Allbirds ripped me off and refunded me $28 and change. WTH? Now, I'm returning the gifted pair no matter what and I expect to get a full refund. NO MORE Birdie! Buyers beware! You will NEVER get another penny from us Allbirds!
Returns system fails. All birds ignores emails
I tried to return my shoes as they not fit. Unfortunately the label number I printed was not recognised by the system that scans them. Unfortunately despite contacting all birds twice including providing a screen shot of the systems error message at the drop off point , they have made no attempt to reply in the last two and half weeks. All birds also do not have an actual phone number.

Horrible Experience. Do not buy. Bought a pair of shoes in September 2025. Did not show up until late November 2025. Requested exchange or return and they refused citing past the 30 day window despite the delivery date being 60 days past the order date. What a poor customer experience and will not be buying again or recommending to anyone.

The worst returns experience I've ever had
The worst returns experience I have ever had. First courier company assigned (Aramex) failed to collect my parcel at all, despite two follow ups. Second postal option apparently delivered to the address provided by Allbirds who inexplicably returned the parcel to a different address. Multiple emails to try and sort it out only elicits quick but unhelpful replies from 'Woolly Bot' an AI generated complaints handling system. No human interaction seems to be possible. Meanwhile my refund ($270) is nowhere to be seen. This company is appalling, do not buy from them.
WHITE ALLBIRDS TURN YELLOW. DO NOT BUY
I have owned several pairs of Allbirds. I consider myself a great customer, but finally bought a bad pair and Allbirds would not stand behind their product. My white Allbirds turned YELLOW. DINGY. They were only worn 4 times and never wet. Yellowing appeared on both shoes. When I contacted Allbirds they said the yellowing was "natural" and would not replace them. DO NOT BUY ALLBIRDS in WHITE. Really disappointed with the brand and will not buy them again.
The shoes are 5 star for comfort
The shoes are 5 star for comfort. I have a few pairs. However one pair (after approx a year) wore through a hole at the top where big toe is. Thin material could use something extra at toe of feet for those style. So I bought different style but unfortunately the grip on bottom has come loose on one of the shoes after relatively little use. Still useable and can probably stick it back down but for the price shouldn’t be having issues like that
