Ableactive - Taking two payments a month without me knowing, but are now looking to re-credit my account
I noticed a payment of approximately £36 (it's based in Ireland, so depends on the exchange rate) going out of my account for a company based in Donegal. When I looked further (thinking it might be a scam) at my account I noticed it's a payment that goes out every 14 days.
I rang the bank and they confirmed that it had been going out since a £2 payment on the 5th August. When I asked the bank what they do, they said it appears to be a sports leisure company where you can secure discounts with the membership. As a family we don't spend £864 a year on leisure wear, never mind paying that up front to achieve discounts.
I looked at the site and the products look pretty low end as well.
I'm guessing that they have a way of getting your card details from linked sites and not telling you about it.
We don't how they did this, but beware of the name.
I rang them today and wasn't convinced the answering service was legitimate. I await a call back.

I see "Oliver" has submitted a reply that is a cut and paste of all replies. Oliver, I assume is an automated reply as he would know that they have asked a manager to contact my within 72 hours. Which is three days slower than they started taking payment without my knowledge.
Check your accounts and make you haven't been scammed by allbeactive folks!
They owe me £400 plus pounds and I am no closer to a phone call, explanation or refund.

Hello all,
Upgraded the review from 1 star to three stars to reflect the fact that albeactive have been in touch and stated that the money (£437.90) will be back in my account within 5-days. They have stated that it was an innocent mistake at their end and to be fair I did have missed calls from them yesterday trying to resolve the issue. I still don't know who they ended up taking the money in the first place, but it is reassuring that they agreed to refund the full amount relatively quickly which is a positive.
Fingers crossed for the situation to be resolved pretty soon.
I'll be upgrading to 4 stars when the money is returned to our account.

Updated title as Albeactive are looking to recredit, following taking payments twice a month from my account without me knowing.
23/01/2024 - Still don't know how they came to be taking two payments a month, but to be fair they have resolved it in the best part of a week and all the money has been recredited to my account. Updated to 4 stars to reflect dealing with the complaint quickly.

Buying a review
Received a call from Oliver who agreed there had been an error and would issue a full refund But only when I changed my review to a 5 star!!
Makes me wonder how many other ‘5 star’ reviews on here have been bought!

FRAUD ALERT
Asked to pay postage and packaging fir a product and then asked to make smaller payments over several steps of increasing amounts.
Now they try to take payments of random amounts from my bank account
I haven't confused a model and I have never been asked to join a membership, these payments came after a suspect purchase for which i never received a product. In addition the other attempts to take money were for varying amounts not a one time fee.
There's no order numbers because there's no trail except for my payment to you. Because I was never actually ordering a product.. was I.
