Thuis was the second time in villa Quina.What a place to be.For us its important that its so quiet and peaceful.The beds are super and all you want is there. Super pool to swim and enjoy. Also the price is great. The hosts Alex and Richard are wonderful people they Will help you with all. We Will come back 2027 again.

We had a really excellent stay at Villa Susanah.
Communication with Alex before our stay was first class and the villa itself is very well situated, superbly equipped and one of the very best we have ever stayed in.
The pool is beautifully clean, but shelves quickly and might cause problems for youngsters. Our stay coincided with a heatwave(four days at 40 degrees+) and it was quite difficult to find enough shade around the pool, particularly as any umbrellas are rendered useless in the strong Algarve winds.
The two flights of wide steps down to the pool proved to be a challenge for my wife who suffers from arthritis. There are no handrails so progress up and down had to be carried out slowly and carefully. The Roman steps into the pool are narrow and deep and provided a similar challenge, although careful positioning of a wooden chair to lean on helped.
Despite these personal challenges we had a superb holiday and will treasure the memories of sitting on the patio in the evening, glass of wine in hand and looking at the glorious view.
Sadly the difficulties outlined above will prevent us returning to Villa Susanah, but they should not prevent anyone without similar challenges, staying in what is one of the best villas ever.

Beautiful, clean, relaxing, quiet. Great pool, which you can have warmed up so you can enjoy it for more time :)

This is the fourth time that we have stayed at Villa Quina. It a great place for us to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area. The villa itself is just great with all the facilities. Huge space inside and outside. Love the BBQ area and not forgetting the swimming pool. Alex and Richard are great hosts, nothing is too much of a trouble for them. They are welcoming and very supportive if needed. We will be back again.

Villa Susana does exactly what it says on the tin! Those amazing photos on their website? Completely accurate. The villa is spacious with everything you could possibly need for a carefree stay.
Alex & Richard Walker the Hosts/Owners are consummate professionals and really great people to boot. Nothing too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.
Plenty of places to visit, nothing on The Algarve more than 90 minutes away. The Information Pack tells you everything you need to know about the villa and equipment and where to eat, where to food shop, medical services, Isobel the taxi lady (she also is amazing), and with Alex & Richard knowing the area so well there will be next to nothing you can't find out.
We stayed from October 20 to December 27 2023 so we have plenty of experience of Villa Susana.
Future guests are in for a treat as we were. Enjoy the sun, it's there most of the time! We had maybe four days of rain in 9 weeks!
One suggestion...from the main road the sign Villa Susana needs to be clearer for first time guests. That's it! One solitary suggestion!!

I had the pleasure of staying at both Villa Quina and Villa Susana and it was my second time at Villa Quina. Both these places offer incredible experience and have their own charm. They both are away from the hustle bustle of touristic hot spots, allowing for peaceful relaxation. Close to the hiking trail and offering amazing views. The pools are incredible and are heated. These two Villas quickly become your favourite holiday spot once you have experienced them. If someone is visiting Algarve region, these two Villas are highly recommended. Last but not the least, Alex and Richard are a great team, incredible host, extremely flexible and accommodating even with my early check-in and late check-out.

Villa Quina and it’s amazing Pool provide a perfect retreat for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Two weeks in August 22 for all our family and grand children was prefect and every box was ticked . Amazing hosts who were always on hand when needed before arrival and during our stay - it’s a 10/10 from us - The Mackie’s

Villa Susana meets every aspect of its description by the owners. We are 100% satisfied with our holiday :-)
The Villa is well equipped. The pool and terrace with its stunning views are gorgeous and - very important! - the beds are great!!
Some remarks in response to prior reviews:
- The Villa is close to N124. Don't worry, you can't hear any traffic
- The road to the villa is now on asphalt. You can drive it with every car
- Although it's a rural area the internet connection is fast enough to stream video. Wifi is limited to the villa and doesn't connect you on the pool (should it, seriously?).

Nothing to fault everything was perfect. Extremely well equipped. Beautiful location. Lovely pool.

A wonderful villa with the privacy and yet easy access to other points of interest in Algarve that we were looking for. Lovely views across the surrounding groves and orchards with just the sound of cicadas for company. Because of the villa’s elevated position, there was always a welcome breeze even on the warmest day. A lovely, spotless, well-maintained home from home.

We (2 families) visited Villa Quina in July and had a wonderful week. The villa and grounds were absolutely spotless and in very good condition. The kitchen was particularly well stocked which was very useful when cooking for 9. We enjoyed lots of barbecues in the beautiful covered area. All the rooms have their own bathroom which wasn't exactly necessary for us but brilliant for couples sharing. Communication from the owner was very good. We hope to return in future!

Good Place to relax. Far out of busy cities.

I would highly recommend Villa Quina for a relaxing holiday for large families or a small group. We stayed in the last week of July with our three (hard to please) teenagers and all of us had a fantastic time. Communication throughout the booking process and pre arrival was excellent.

The villa itself was very comfortable and immaculately clean with everything you could need provided. It was lovely to arrive to find a welcome pack of essentials in the fridge too. The wi-fi was great in the living areas of the villa which was great for keeping the kids happy. Externally the large pool beautiful gardens, barbeque and gazebo with it's fantastic views were all faultless. We could happily have spent our full week relaxing at the villa without venturing out to explore the impressive local area.

A hire car is essential but there are so many fantastic beaches and places to explore within 20-30 mins drive that you really wouldn't need to venture any further than this. There are numerous waterparks, boat trips etc within easy reach of the villa and a good variety of traditional towns and villages as well as more resort style places on the coast.

All in all a fantastic place that we intend to return to however we will learn from our mistake and book for longer next time.

Lovely villa with everything you need. Nice surprise of a welcome pack on arrival. My only slight criticism - and this is personal preference - the plants need cutting right back. There are beautiful views that can only be seen from the master bedroom. Views from the terrace, pagoda and ground floor front bedroom are obscured by the overgrown foliage. It is such a shame as it is in a truly wonderful location. The foliage needs cutting back around the pool as this would prevent the constant clearing of leaves from the pool. Booking and communication with Alex was brilliant.

This was our 3rd year staying at Villa Susana ... It was and is the perfect retreat for my wife and I. To be welcomed with even the simplest of notes & a grocery pack from the owner is something not to be underestimated. This visit was just as perfect as the first ... Breathtaking views ... A cool clean pool to dip into out of the heat ... Having a car makes things easier as there are so many stunning places to visit ... Monchique, Salema & Cape St. Vincent are just a couple of the places we viewed.
Alex and her family make this the perfect home from home experience ... My wife and I are looking forward to returning again ...

Another fantastic stay at Villa Susana. This year we went to recharge our batteries, and this we certainly did. The pool was used several times a day and was very welcoming. Walk around the grounds was quiet and peaceful. Morning Hare's were occasionally spotted.
The villa is more than well equipped to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. BBQ in the evenings whilst watching the sun go down. Spectacular morning sun rises. Close enough to all amenities and beaches. Some great places to eat both locally and further afield.
Can't wait for next years visit, already booked
