The worst online experience I've ever had…

The worst experience I've ever had buying something online! Avoid at all costs! I was repeatedly lied to about the status of my order, which was seriously delayed. Customer service was appalling - rude, inconsiderate and seemed to go out of his way to make things worse. I wasn't allowed to make changes to the order when I requested a small correction to my prescription just 9 hours after placing it - I was lied to and told it was being produced already. Then, almonst a month later, the order still hadn't been sent so I requested to cancel. I was told that wasn't possible, there had been delays with ordering the frame (even though I had been told it was already being produced the day after purchase!) and despite it being almost a month since I placed the order. I was given more nonsense lies. I told Alensa not to send it at that point and that I wanted a refund, but they sent it anyway, despite replying to those emails. When I sent it back in the end 1/3 of what I paid was deducted from my refund for the prescription, and I had to pay return postage, even though none of this was my fault.

Please save yourselves from this appalling and disgusting company, look elsewhere!!

Easy ordering system, fast delivery

Easy ordering system. Ordered on the 11th and arrived on the 14th. I chose for them to be delivered to an in post locker. So a very quick reliable service, at a fair price.
To compare I also ordered a different type of lenses from my supermarket on the 11th (as they do my tests for free of if I ordered once per year). It is now the 26th and they have still not arrived!
So Alensa deliver and fast, I would prefer to order from them.

SUCKS: TOPVUE AIR FOR ASTIGMATISM (3 LENSES)

Ordered the recommended TOPVUE AIR FOR ASTIGMATISM (3 LENSES). Couldn't wear more than an hour as it is very thick and hurts my eyes. as I have opened one box I can't return it.

I have been using Biofinity Toric and had to order it from another website immediately.

The service was fast though.

Not a great company to use really.

Not a great company to use really.. ordered on 13Jan and did receive confirmation and the glasses were delivered on the 20th. On trying the lenses were wrong and after the initial call saying I had the right lenses, the second call they admitted they had fitted the wrong ones so I sent back the day after. I have called twice now and I am still waiting for the correct replacements..

Late delivery and refused refund


I placed an order on 23/12 with an estimated delivery time of 2–4 working days, but it was only delivered on 16/01, almost a month later.

During the delay, I explicitly informed the company that I would no longer be in the country and asked for the delivery to be cancelled with the courier. This was ignored, and the parcel was still delivered.

I am a tourist, I do not live in the UK, and I will not return to collect a product that should not have been delivered in the first place.

Despite the excessive delay and the delivery being made against my instructions, the company is now refusing to issue a refund.

Very disappointing customer service and poor handling of a clear delivery failure.

Temper your expectation

Oh well, you live and learn. Poor communication of progress. First try of gradient lenses. Despite the hype they are totally unsuitable. Have to dip my chin just to see ahead in focus. No real transition from distance to near. May as well have bought bifocals. £220 wasted.
