THIS IS THE CANADIAN EXPERIENCE, I don't know why it states the USA, for the website URL page.
This company is the worst electrical power company for solving their administrative issues!
For months now I pay my bill, and by the due date of the following month; my account still shows that it hasn’t been paid. Also, the current payment, that IS due-doesn’t show, forcing me to continuously waste my time calling them again.
If you try to access the current amount due via their IVR, the system will ask via it’s prompts “press... to find out what you currently owe,” then instead of telling you the current bill, it starts giving you options to pay for overdue accounts.
Months ago, the agent said “they were working on fixing a backlog of incorrect amounts” being sent to customers via email, and incorrect amounts showing in their accounts.
In the mean time; customers are paying them twice because they’re getting an email saying that they haven’t yet paid-when they have!
What’s your issue Alectra Utilities? How long does it take to fix this, instead of having to refund double payments, and using up time spent with your agents over the phone to get correct billing amounts?
The incompetence of those setting up the IVR (with no understanding from a customer’s perspective), and those incapable of utilizing current updated technology to update the system back-log of billing issues, makes me long for the crowded city.
At least, incompetence is not tolerated there (for the most part), and I don’t feel as if I’m living in some low-end calibre city, which seems to be the case!
