ALDI- Edgbaston rd Birmingham

ALDI- Edgbaston rd Birmingham
ALDI- Edgbaston rd. Birmingham .
I was so pleasantly surprised today when I found the shopping quite pleasant and easy/easier.
I am partially sighted so seeing what is on the shelves and finding what I want/need is always difficult when I shop on my own.
Today, after a while not shopping in this store, it seemed that the lighting?, display?, other? were more customer friendly. I don’t know what it was but everything seemed, at least for me, much easier.
Thank you
Ps your staff too deserve a “thank you”

Aldi customer service is non existent

Aldi customer service is non existent. They are rude and talk over you and send you from pillar to post hoping that you will give up. Escalated my complaint to a manager who talked the talk and promised a resolution but then didn’t follow through on it. I spent hours trying to resolve but they aren’t helpful so may need to resort to court.

We love Aldi, please open one in Lochguilphead area!!

We love Aldi, and most people in the Argyll and Bute go to the Oban one to buy stuff... But its over 35 miles away... We all would LOVE to have one in Lochguilphead, as there are only one VERY expensive supermarket (which people try to avoid!) and a 'petrol' station one... Even when we have loads of other towns that come shopping here (Campbeltown, Tarber, Inveraray etc).
HOPE one day they consider opening a shop in Lochguilphead!!! :-) .. Aldi will be VERY popular over here!

Great value.

I always buy my rib eye steaks from Aldi along with their fruit and vegetables. I don't buy everything from Aldi and also buy from Iceland and Sainsbury's. I would buy more ready meals from them (especially Currys) but they put rice with everything. Their 2 minute rice is excellent and at 49 pence is great value.

Aldi. Cheap for a reason!!

Aldi has seriously gone downhill over the past few years, even more so the past 24 months. In my local store (Alfreton) expiry dates are ridiculously short on a lot of items, like chicken (portions) for example. 2 days!! Minced beef 3 days. certain bread products 2 days. Other meat products have an unreasonably short date
I opened a bread product to greated with mould. I have thrown more food away than I wish to think about.
The excuse of supplier issues, I am sure is not 100% true. They are always missing stock.

The mixed cases are a nighmare as they put 2 different items (Same product but different) and they are not always easliy identified. Again, the amount of times I have picked the wrong one due to P*** Poor packaging not being a great deal differnt is upsetting, again, these get thrown out.

This particular store always has empty spaces or items that are not brought to the front (Carding and fronting not performed) and when they do, there's always cages blocking shelves or isles.

I also noticed some foods have lost their quality. Made to a cost. Yet their prices have increased by 10 - 25% (yes, I know there's a genneral cost increase, but some increases are unjustifiable it seems)

They're cheap for a reason, and that reason is not a good one.

Don`t order from Aldi

Ordered 2 piece item - courier delivered first and wrecked our door. Next day courier said delivered part 2 but photo shows not my address. Rang Aldi - first agent cut me off. Second tried to fob off with couriers not us - told him it`s your responsibility. Awaiting a call from his Mgr. Rubbish service - First & last time I will use Aldi online.

Bad customer service experience

Would have not given a star but no option. Rang customer service to complain about chicken which was off. Could hardly hear myself speak with the shouting, screaming and laughing in the background of the call centre. I mentioned this noise was unacceptable and unprofessional. Could not bring myself to ring there again. It was actually painful on my ears

2 Basket air fryer hoax

The recent Air Fryer offer is pretty much a hoax. Missed out online ( not for the first time -the website seems very fragile).

I Was at the store early on Sunday morning expecting this item to be in demand, about 9.20 the Manager comes out and asks how many of us are queuing for the air fryer, when several of us indicated we were, he informed us that the store was allocated ONE of these and even that one had not arrived. It seems that some of the "special buys" are closer to imaginary buys, that you have little or no chance of actually getting your hands on one. According to the manager, larger stores were only getting 4 units. Pathetic, and it shows up this "offer" for the fake it really is. Several, customers voiced the opinion that the staff had grabbed whatever ones were available, and I have to admit the suspicion lingers.

As a customer, I feel misled, along with several other people I got back in my car and left, I called in at Lidl on my way home for the other items I needed (found some really nice chicken breasts for dinner).

I think Lidl will be seeing more of me in future, they are the same distance from me. This sort of thing DAMAGES the image of the company, it certainly had in my household.

Absolutely disgraceful. Advertise opening at 10am, arrived 9.45 and store open and to be told all air fryers gone before even opening. Never use Aldi again, totally unethical and bad practice

£50 food mixer

Order No 81668282

How many customers had the thought; is it possible to build a food mixer for £50 when well reviewed examples cost several hundreds of pounds. I thought it worth a chance and made a big mistake when I bought Aldi's £50 example. It looks nice, but the instructions are unhelpful. It's not built well, the bowl cover doesn't fit properly, the tools cannot be fitted when the bowl cover is in place and if that is not enough it doens't mix very well either. So the answer to question is that you can build a food ixer for £50 but it won't work very well. So bad is this one that I have asked Aldi customer services for my money back, they haven't responded yet and looking at the comments of others on this site it doesn't sound like they will.

Online service very poor

I bought a tent and sleeping bag from Aldi, both arrived too late for my son's festival, so returned them, no refund given, sent proof of return repeatedly, spoke to customer services, 2 months of weekly emails later, I am now being ignored...terrible service if you purchase online.

Aldi Customer Service Dept needs shaking up

Ordered an air compressor on-line. 28 days to deliver. Shipping container was destroyed and one part broken when delivered. XPD driver would not wait to scan the QR delivery code I was told he had to scan. The driver quickly jumped in his van and sped off, obviously embarrassed about the condition of the delivery.

I contacted Aldi customer service five times pushing for delivery. Aldi responds to email queries within 24 hours, but the canned responses are totally unhelpful. They only say thank you for the business, sorry you are having a problem, we will inform the appropriate people in our organization. Really frustrating.

This is the third time I have had a bad on-line purchase experience with Aldi. They obviously do everything they can to brush off customer problems.

Aldi customer service need shaking up.
