Had many policies with these

Had many policies with these, business and properties. 1 direct debit failed on one policy and they cancelled the whole policy. Not the best company for information, not the best company to be on your side. Very stiff.

Landlord emergency cover

My rental property s boiler was not working . I have an emergency landlord cover and it took only 24 hours from the claim to the boiler being fixed .

Seems a good deal, until you need to claim

It is always difficult with insurance products, as you can't really rate them until you've made a claim. Making a claim with this company is beyond tedious. To be fair, this is two fold - on Alan Boswell's side, their failure to respond to emails drags out the problem, essentially to the point where a claim is no longer viable - which may be their MO. On the other side is the utterly useless panel of solicitors they use in the form of Lyons Davidson.
After much tenacity, a complaint and a heavy steer on the correct interpretation of the issue, one claim from a Rental protection POV achieved the correct reimbursement. However, a subsequent claim for Legal Expenses to address additional damages of £1000's caused by lousy tenants has fizzled to nothing. Partly due to lack of timely referral and response by AB and partly due to complete ineptitude by their preferred solicitors (covered by a separate review). A complete waste of the insurace premium and needless to say, no renewal. No point putting good money after bad...

Not competitive now

I have used this company for home and landlords insurance but for the last 2 years my landlords insurance has gone up by roughly £30 each time and now this year by almost £70, even though I have made no claim. Sorry guys but you are not rewarding loyalty and I have found another broker who has found me great insurance for £145 less!

Renewing my car insurance after your quote was emailed was quick and easy. A hard copy of the insurance documents I requested arrived with 48 hours.

Very disappointing

Very disappointing. Called ref a landlord enquiry and was referred onto legal support , shockingly poor. Took ages to fill out a call back form , got cut off but apparently they can't call back when raising the initial Enquiry; two weeks on no call from their legal services
Complete waste of my time
