Ordered 2 items, got told they’d secured goods and they should be sent out along with a preorder in April.
Now in July, no items, no communication, emailed and reach out on social media. Having to complete a chargeback.
Avoid.

I've ordered from this company before. And I've only received one order perfectly on time. The rest of the orders have come late, but I was able to be told why for just one of them. One of the orders was dispatched 5 months after slated for its release which was after I emailed them, which is strange. Now, I've had an order that has never arrived when it was due to be released, and it's been complete radio silence from them. Safe to say I am not buying from this company again! I'm saddened that I never received my nendoroid :(

I'm really sad. What happened?
I use to use this site a lot, I even wrote a good review years ago about them on my old account (can't access). I had my eye on a figure for a long time and decided to get it as it was still in stock.

Bought figure on 12th June, no responses. Left an email on 28th June, still no response. Had to contact PayPal to open a case to get my money back.

I guess for now, as everyone else has stated. Avoid. Website is no longer trust worthy.

EDIT: Fuming, Paypal closed the case in sellers favour. Disgusting, you're taking peoples money!

The order just didn't arrive. And I emailed the company with no response. I've filed a chargeback with my bank now 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

The website is still open, taking orders with no intention of delivering the goods you pay for.
** And based on all recent reviews, this guy is STILL taking people's money, and not shipping goods. He avoids repliying to any email, and customer's have to go through their bank to get a refund.

I waited a year for an item i pre-ordered, and paid in full for.
- After waiting nearly 2 month since the release date of the figure, I sent the company an email asking for a delivery update. No reply! - I then sent them a direct message through their facebook messenger, No reply! - I then posted on their latest instagram post, No reply! All the while, they were advertising their latest pre-orders on facebook and instagram, but completely ignoring all of my emails. I then spent another whole month, asking for a refund. ALL of my emails went with NO REPLY. I had to open a case through Paypal. They didn't give any explination to Paypal. I only got my refund after waiting the full 30 days Paypal allows for the seller to respond. After those 30 days, Paypal sided with me, since the AKIBASHI didn't reply to Paypal either.

Don't give this man your money.

Placed an order in Jan 2023. The product itself did ship - in December 2023 - however it was missing a bonus faceplate. I let the company know and they promised to send it out. Now there is radio silence in emails. DO not buy from this company!

Bad website, don’t use. They have no customer service at all, didn’t respond to emirs or social media posts, until I posted publicly to get a refund on a preorder that never arrived. I only got said refund after I posted a message on their latest instagram post which they have since deleted. There are many better sites for people in the UK, find them, use them. Don’t expect Akibashi to do anything for you.

Non existent customer service. I tried both the web form and email but received no reply about my order. It was supposed to be released in December and it's now March.
I had to contact the bank to raise a case to get my money back.
I think it's likely the company has gone under but it still taking people's money with no intention of shipping products.

Awful customer service. I originally pre-ordered a Nendoroid from them that other sites had stopped preorders on after others had said they had recieved their figures from this site just fine. I ordered in August with a release date being given as the end of September 2023. That came and went and not a single update about a delay or if things had been shipped. That was fine to me at the time since getting figures from JP in the UK tends to get delayed a lot. However when it hit December with STILL no word I began reaching out to their customer support in hopes i could get any kind of answer. Only to be ignored completely on every single email. Its very clear at this point Im not going to be receiving this figure at all and I doubt I'll ever get an actual reply from their customer service team. I've recently asked for a refund and will edit this review with an update if I ever get it. Avoid this site especially for pre-orders. If a site is taking your money pre-emptively for an item then they should be communicative when you reach out to them.

I placed an order for 4 different figures. 3 of them were released end of November. I've never received them! Moreover, I was emailing the Akibashi shop, they never replied! It wasn't first time when I was ordering from them, but for sure, last time! There are many trustable shops, avoid Akibashi or you will lose money!

I preordered a couple of figures from this site and had a terrible experience. I’m a long term figure collector and have never had such uncommunicative correspondence and lack of customer support. The figures I ordered were two months past the shipping estimate and I had to check in three times to prompt any kind of response. However, the response wasn’t an update or apology for the delay but instead a refund for my order with no further word. I would’ve preferred to preorder elsewhere and save the money as now the figures are out of stock. In short, very unreliable and poor customer service.

Package arrived in perfect condition and staff were always quick and helpful with any questions. Can't complain.

i’m so happy with my order! delivery was fast and all for free too, the box was packaged safely and secure. they kept me informed about my products status through email and let me track my package which i was so happy about!! this company deserves more recognition for sure

Been meaning to review this company for a while now, but I absolutely love them - Bought a few things from Akibashi, and each time the products are so carefully packed and shipped over in record time. It'd be great if there were more of a range of figures to pick from, however as a growing business I think it's doing well for itself.

Can't wait to see the business grow!

Amazing! Fast shipping and great packaging.

Couldn't be more satisfied!
I ordered on a Friday afternoon and received on a Sunday night.
Product came fresh as can be very nicely wrapped and covered to ensure no damage.

Its hard to find certain anime figures in the UK however the store has many I did not expect and is continuing to grow.

I will definitely be using this website in the future.

I have ordered Levi Nendoroid at 11pm at night and received it 2 days later !-they send the tracking number and got delivered really quickly in a cute box all custom to their website.
Will definitely order from them again as pricing was a steal and their customer service is amazing :)

I pre-ordered a Dio Brando Nendoroid through here back in May and although it got delayed a few times, the good folks at Akibashi have been really helpful in keeping me informed of when it would be in. Yesterday, I couldn't contain my glee when the figure finally came!

Despite the hiccup, this is one company I can't praise enough and would definitely recommend as a go-to for official GSC merch in the UK. Thank you again, Akibashi!
