Akel’s Carpet One Reviews 

Don’t buy from these guys. Bought almost $10K laminate flooring. What they recommended for the project We had 5 unopened boxes we didn’t need. They will not take it back and issue a refund. Now they say it was special order and refunds are not issued. Wow, you would think they valued my business. Guess not.

Do yourself a favor and use another company. A floor was bought and paid for months in advance. The installer Tony just won’t show up for appointments. He won’t answer his cell either until you call the store and Todd contacts him. Then they’ll just give you the runaround for weeks.

Project manager could not properly calculate carpet needed for a 12'3" X 11'6" room. Then on a Wednesday he sent an inept installer who did not bring tack strip and had no knowledge of where to cut the carpet or how to cut the carpet. When I called the project manager, he came out two hours later with tack strip expressed his dismay with the installer. He promised to set me up with a different installer ASAP. He set up the same installer for Sunday morning at eight. WHAT?? Sunday morning with the same installer??? No thanks. I hired my own installer, had the carpet installed on the Friday afternoon following the initial Wednesday, then asked for reimbursement for the installation that I had already paid Akel's for. He refused. DUH, DUH, DUH.

customer service: Sales person miss calculated how much tile I needed and sold me 3 extra boxes. the store will not take back extra, no refund no exchange no store credit. no nothing. Oh and the salesperson no longer works there go figure. What a way to treat a customer says I am sorry but there is nothing we can do. I am stuck with unopened boxes of tile I cannot use. so un professional.

Very poor customer service. We selected Akel's because we needed to replace the flooring in my dad's house in a hurry, and Akel's told us they had the materials in stock and could install within a week. About a week and a half later, they finally came out and began installing the wrong material. The installer had brought two different colors of vinyl flooring and was oblivious to it until my dad pointed it out. It then took several more days for Akel's to order the product they told us they had in stock in the beginning. When they finally installed the correct product, they still didn't have the proper trim pieces to finish it out and had to order those. Meanwhile, the installers left my dad's bedroom in shambles - with boxes stacked up blocking the entrance to his bathroom, the bed not in the right place, and pillows and other things all over the floor. Things they had moved to the living room were not returned to the bedroom. A piece of the bed frame's footing had fallen off when they moved the bed, and they just left the piece sitting on a counter. All this for a man who was recovering from surgery and was barely mobile. When I found out how the work had been performed, I called to see what could be done to make it right. All I got was excuses. I suggested the manager reduce the labor charge in light of what he candidly admitted was unacceptable work, but the manager said he would "look into it" and never got back to me. I would not recommend Akel's Carpet One for any type of floor installation.

Michael Sellers knows his stuff. He helped us with every question, even the hard ones. The installing team were nothing but professional. Akel's Carpet One had the best price for the quality and service. They moved furniture in 3 bedrooms and the master bedroom with no extra hidden charges. Michael called us the next day and checked to see if we were happy with the job. We would definitely recommend them.

Update... I did get the flooring and none of the pieces were broken. The box, unlike the first, was sealed and in good condition. Tim offered to bring it to the house but we were out doing errands. He did pick it up and had it at the store and loaded it in my car.
Looks like I have a new project for the weekend.

Akel's Carpet One was very competitive on price. Salesperson was great at providing information that helped us decide on what flooring to buy. He provided and walked us through the many options on the style of flooring we wanted. On the day of installation, the people who installed the carpet were on time, very courteous, and professional about their work. Very pleased.

This company is always a five star to work with. I have used them in both my personal home as well as the Commercial Property I manage. They are the best and it is nice to deal with a company that is vested in the community.

I loved working with Nelson and his wife at the Carpet One in Bryant. Nelson always followed through with his word. They were very knowledgeable and gave us some very good advice. The installers had a lot of patience and did the work to our satisfaction.
