Unprofessional Service & Money Stolen
Upon submitting my draft chapter as a co-author, the publisher of this book expressed that he felt pressured when I requested him to share his negative feedback, labeling my chapter’s draft as having a “victim mentality.”
The book recounts my experiences in an orphanage and the challenges I've faced. It was evident that he hadn’t read the entire chapter, yet he reached a rather unfortunate conclusion.
The role of an editor or publisher is to assist authors in revising and resubmitting work. To dismiss my chapter—intended for a charity project—as merely reflecting a “victim mentality” was troubling.
After enduring such bad service and discovering the lack of legitimate charity claims because the profits are said to be given to a home but it has no proof that the book series has done that, I withdrew from participating.
John Spender displayed a complete lack of decency by refusing to discuss even a partial refund of $300. I strongly advise against co-authoring with this book.
