A truly well-orchestrated scam.
A truly well-orchestrated scam.
They made me waste both money and time by pretending to start the search for my lost iPad—too bad this search never actually began, since the company in question doesn’t even exist. It’s just an example of a very well-executed scam.
Their technique is to make you pay for the search service while telling you upfront that they can’t guarantee the item will be found (which is understandable—but the real issue is that the search never even starts).
How did I figure it out? After countless emails and calls to customer care (yes, they even have a customer support team that replies, constantly stalling and making everything seem extremely legitimate!), I decided to search for my iPad myself by directly contacting the Lost & Found office of the airline involved. My iPad even had location tracking enabled, so I knew exactly where it was… and somehow, they couldn’t retrieve it, while DELTA sent it back to me instantly.
Shame on you. I hope karma knocks on your door sooner or later.
