Practically No Customer Service
Air New Zealand used to be my favourite airline, no longer. Booked a flight to New Zealand in July, in September Air New Zealand changed the date of outbound and inbound flights “due to operational reasons’. Basically like most transport companies its operational interests first and passengers last. Tried accessing my booking online as I had done previously but website said no. I had to call the airline - 62 minutes waiting in queue! Like so many organisations Air New Zealand does not want to speak to its customers and hopes they hang up rather than wait over an hour in the queue. The result of changing various flights I now have to pay for a hotel for a night on the way back. The person I spoke said I could try and claim the cost of this from my travel insurance. Like all airlines its all care and no responsibilities.
