Good email service

I made a typo after reserving a ticket, so I wrote to them and Airfare replied very quickly and advised me the best way possible so I would not pay extra fees. I could cancel my ticket before 24 hours and buy another one with no typo mistake at the same fare as the previous one!
Even two weeks later, they wrote me to check if everything was ok, it's always great to follow up with customers. Good experience so far! :)

"Contact the Airline Directly" - Airfare Network agent

TLDR: Airfare network was no help when issues arose with my inbound travel, cancelled my return trip without my consent, and is unwilling to take responsibility, provide a refund, or even a credit. Repeatedly told by the company to "contact the airline directly" which is exactly what you should do instead of booking with Airfare Network.

I would strongly advise against booking with Airfare Network and my experience has made me unwilling to ever book with a third party travel agency ever again. If you run into any problems, they are not willing (or possibly able) to help you in the same way as if you booked directly through the airline. I will be paying whatever the difference is to book directly with the airline from now on. Usually there is no difference whatsoever, so you are only taking a risk by booking through this agency rather than directly with the airline.

My problems with Airfare Network began on July 23rd. I checked into my flight and was turned away from the gate agent for only having my Nexus and not my Passport (this was my fault). I called airfare network to see if they could rebook my flight, and they stated they could not and suggested that I book a new flight myself. They assured me that my return flight would remain valid, as did the airline that I booked with. After calling the airline to follow-up, they stated that Airfare Network cancelled my return flight because my flight on July 23rd was classified as a "no show". This happened despite a 30 minute conversation with their agent that day where I requested help in my travels and expressed my intention of returning on the flight I booked. Airfare Network states that the Airline's policy is to cancel return flights when someone misses an inbound flight, however I confirmed with the Airline that this is not the case and both the Airline and Airfare Network told me that my return flight would be valid when I talked to them on July 23rd.

In my efforts to get assistance or resolution with this matter, I have been stone walled by Airfare Network and have been repeatedly told to "contact the airline directly". This would have been fantastic advice prior to booking with Airfare Network, and this is what I will be doing for all of my future travel.

EDIT to reply:
Sure, thanks for your quick reply.
Confirmation #: NZC8IV - This was what the agent used to bring up my file when I spoke to them last night and on July 23rd

Your company should have my email address and phone number from my prior contact with you. I will update this review again when I hear back from Airfare Network.

08/19:
Hi, thanks for your reply. I did already contact a supervisor on August 17th when this issue came to my attention. I have yet to hear back, and as I need to travel tomorrow (when my flight was originally booked) I have had to contact the airline directly to book another flight.

08/19:
Hi there,
As i told your agent on August 17th, I do not have a phone available as I am out of the country, which is why I left my email address as the primary contact method. I have still not received a reply from your supervisor that I was told to email. I am a little confused as to why this supervisor is calling me as I was told that I could not speak with a supervisor when I spoke with your agent on August 17th, and that my only option was to contact them through email (despite being notified that my flight was cancelled 3 days from it's scheduled departure). I will try to call them back after I have booked a new flight home tomorrow.

8/21:
Hi there,
That's the number I called on August 17th where I spent 1.5h talking to one of your agents who stated he could not help me and told me to email a supervisor (Agnes@faregeek). Again, this was all in the context of my flight 3 days away being cancelled. I have yet to hear back from the supervisor. You are suggesting that I take the course of action that I already have which caused me to post this negative review in the first place. This is par for the course with my experience of Airfare Network's service thus far.

Dear Kyle, As advised we’ve had a supervisor working on the reported issue, who also tried to reach you on your number XXX-XXX-5963 but was unable to, probably because you were busy as the call was answered by automated voice message system.

The supervisor has left a brief message with his name requesting you to call our office and ask to speak with him directly. Should you like to be contacted again, please advise us of a time as per your convenience and we will be glad to call you.

Dear Kyle, Thanks for the update and we understand you not being available on the phone number to discuss the case further. We did the investigation on the case raised, as the tickets were initially not used hence were marked as “No Show”. The ticket status is not updated by a Travel Agency hence let’s communicate further once you are available on the phone. Kindly drop us an email at fares@airfarenetwork.com or call us at 1800- 261-7957 and ask for a supervisor to contact you back. We shall be happy to assist you.

The worst experience I have had

june 14, 2016 I had the worst experience with this company. I had bought international tickets from them on that same day. two hours later, I get a call and an email from faregeek, inquiring for a front and back copy of my credit card, in addition to a government ID. I quickly called my bank and asked about the situation. Their response was to obviously cancel my reservations and to not send this information. I can't explain how horrible I felt, as my ticket was quiet an expensive one. I was scared my identification was going to be used for other purposes, but thankfully I got my credit card cancelled to avoid further headaches. I finally got a ticket from CheapOair, and thanks to them I can now await peacefully for my vacations. I can only say that I have learned my lesson and for those that are uneasy on where to buy your next flight ticket, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST! Airfare network has one of the worst ratings on Trip advisor and other review webs.
