Also, we cannot control what happens when the item leaves us.
I have also searched our email inbox/junk mail/ everything and the only email ever from you was enquiring about a hand brake cable which was never bought.
We are a very small company, contributing to keeping classic Volkswagens alive, we are not AMAZON, nor do we pretend to be.

You are also not on the UK mainland adding to the time delivery takes, plus we cannot control the delivery services.

Excellent customer service and a very knowledgeable guy, Jason went out his way to assist, check, and recommend tweaks to my specs. His companies machine work is exceptional and all the parts arrived very well packaged. I will definitely be using aircooled hut again in the future. Some parts came directly to me and despite a mix up it was very quickly and efficiently corrected by Jason and I can say nothing was too much trouble for him. I can't recommend enough!

Poor experience — engine never ran correctly and support was lacking
My experience with Aircooled Hut has been very disappointing. The project took over a year and a half, with many delays, and the engine has never worked since being delivered. I purchased a performance EFI 1600 Turbo engine for my Beetle, but it was clear Jason had no expertise with EFI systems despite taking the project on. He required intervention from FuelTech just to get it started, yet I never received a video of the engine running smoothly, as per his own stated terms.
When the engine was delivered, it didn’t start. Since then, multiple garages — including specialists — have struggled to make it run due to wiring and setup issues.
Despite repeated attempts to seek support, I have not received the level of help I would expect, especially given the significant investment. This project has been long, stressful, and far more costly than anticipated. I cannot recommend Aircooled Hut based on my experience.

Felipe brought in a home brew 1600 turbo and some parts he had bought from Brazil. I took on the build having done efi builds in the past, but not Fueltech..
We finished the build after several months (we always have several months lead time) engine running but needing the base map tweaking. Suddenly it got worse to a point it didn't want to start.
We approached a Fueltech dealer, who wouldn't usually touch an ECU they didn't sell, never mind one displaying Brazilian language.
They looked over the engine at there place and found 2 of the coil on plugs had failed and a connection on the ECU plug loose. Those fixed and a video of it running went to the customer.
The engine was then delivered to their chosen garage for fitting, but as they were busy it stood for months without being looked at apparently. They had a go at fitting after a while but contacted to ask about fitting at the exhaust caught the tinware. Adviced would need trimming.
Several more months later, they couldn't get it started. I gave what advise I could without the engine being in front of me, and assuming they were capable of the wiring part of fitting.
After some time I hear Felipe, the customer had now taken to another fuel injection specialist..
Last I heard it was with him for completion.
I have given what support is possible when 200 miles away.
Unfortunately after being with his chosen garage for a year and several attempts, I have no idea what they have done, how it's been left or any changes made.
Being taken to a competent fuel injection specialist should have been done firstly really.
The garage that I assume has it now (I've not heard from the customer for months now and this engine left us 2 years ago)
I can only assume is capable of diagnostics to pinpoint the issue. (Which if memory serves me right diagnosis tools are available in the ECU software)
Confirming the plugs have spark, fuel pump pressure, leads on correctly, (remembering that the firing order of the base map is for a inline 4 cylinder) so swapping 2 HT leads is necessary to get the VW Aircooled firing order 1-4-3-2)
Leaving a negative review I feel was unnecessary, as this just spoils the trust between customer and us. Problems do arise occasionally, but this isn't the way to deal with your frustration, which is no doubt due to your chosen installers, not us (as it ran when left us)

One of the main reasons that I went to Jason was that he is one of the few engine builders that ballance engines, and you can really tell, it is lovely and smooth, all 34 horse power, Great job, Thanks.

Contacted Jason to try and source some parts for my engine build.
He sourced and advised of cost options in a very short time frame.
I then travelled to collect where the team waited to again outline the parts they had sourced and machined.
