Agoda price guarantee is a joke. Same room, same dates, same everything. Booked a room and 4 days later Its significantly cheaper on the same Agoda app and they won’t honor their own price guarentee? What guarantee is there? NONE it’s bullshit! Better off to bring your business elsewhere then deal with a dishonest company.

We paid for and have a receipt from Agoda for a stay at the Baiyoke Sky tower in Bangkok and we are sitting at the airport finding out that have NO RECORD OF OUR BOOKING!! Our credit card has been charged too!! These type of scammers need to be eliminated!!
Traumatic experience
After booking online with credit card and getting confirmation from both AGODA and hotel, I got a mail asking me to go on a link to a web-site, where I had to upload a photo of my credit card and a photo of my ID. Naturally, I did not do this, and so my booking got cancelled as I was on my way.

Awful site. Their best price guarantee is a scam. They make it almost impossible to do and are willingly deceptive when you ask for more information. I said I would cancel my booking unless they could give me some clear communication on how to claim and they just cancelled my booking without any further communication. Glad to have gone with another site.

I would like to sue you but I will not chase you. NEVER, EVER BOOK ANYTHING WITH AGODA OR BOOKING.COM.
I was fooled again, the first time was in Copenhagen where I booked Generator hostel and no one knew what reservation I was talking about - it was Europe.
Now I had to find a place to stay in China, a friend from China sent me two hotels through agoda.com. I booked both, before leaving I asked my friend to call the hotel and ask if they had my reservation. No one knew anything, luckily they gave me some of my money back because I canceled the reservation in time but I lost anyway.
Stay away from Agoda and Booking.com, they are the biggest scammers ever.

I will never use Agoda again
I will never use Agoda again. I made an enquiry about a refund for a duplicate booking, which was the error of the Agoda platform, and received very unsatisfactory responses. The enquiry was answered by different people each time with almost entirely generic pre-filled emails, which did not address my enquiry, and without reading previous correspondence I had sent due to a new customer service representative answering each email in isolation rather than the same person dealing with my enquiry all the way through. The turn around times were completely unreasonable, I was advised that because the hotel did not respond within 48 hours that my enquiry would be closed and just stopped trying to achieve an outcome for the customer, even though the error did not arise from the hotel but with Agoda. Agoda did not take responsibility for the error its platform caused, resulting in me being charged double for my booking, but shifted the blame on to the hotel (who were helpful and communicative, and who approved the refund immediately), and shifted the cost to the customer.

This is the most disgusting excuse for customer service I've ever seen. Agoda lead new customers to believe that you can find competitive rates and cancel at any point to make another reservation.
I was meant to be going to Surfers Paradise to propose to my partner though now I can't due to a complete lack of empathy understanding of agodas on site faults.
I paid for what I believed and what clearly stated Surfers Paradise turned into rainbow bay by the time the email receipt came.
Agoda stalled me to the no refund date then stated it was my banks fault, then stated my money was not there and no transaction from my card was showing.
They waited for my payment to process and then refunded instead of cancelling the transaction from agodas end. So I had to wait for the 7 day refund period from my bank.
Pathetic service provider, ignorant and arrogant. With no support.
Lastly whilst I was pushed to my absolute limits and having an argument with one of the 6 people I spoke to I let it slip that I was going on holiday to propose and my partner had just walked in the house.
Thanks Agoda for the misery caused and holiday I now can't go on. You're all incompetent.

Booked a hotel room for the night, a month ago, paid in full. Received confirmation of booking. Arrived this evening at the hotel to find the booking had been cancelled three days ago by Agoda. No idea why. No emails or correspondence from them. Will never use Agoda again.

I booked with Agoda, they promised the best price and even gave a discount. The discount was not applied even though I had a screen shot! Agoda refused to honour this and spun around on chats for a week. I will never use again and would never recommend their services!

Agoda's Unreliable Service Left Us Stranded Without Accommodation
I am extremely disappointed with the handling of our 7-night all-inclusive booking in the Maldives through Agoda. We booked well in advance, with non-refundable flights, and are travelling with a 6-month-old baby in December.
When we contacted the resort to arrange transfers, we were informed that our booking couldn’t be guaranteed due to incorrect rates advertised by Agoda. Despite reaching out to Agoda, they have not provided any resolution. They refused to honour the original price or offer alternative accommodation in the Maldives.
As we are travelling during peak season, finding alternative accommodations is not an option due to skyrocketing prices, which is why we booked early. Now, we are left with confirmed flights but no accommodation.
This situation reflects extremely poorly on Agoda’s professionalism and reliability. We trusted their platform for a smooth booking experience, and they have completely failed to deliver.
